I took a friend to have dinner at Twin Peaks last night. He's been divorced for 8 years and is socially awkward with women. He hasn't dated since his divorce, despite saying he would like to have a girlfriend.

Normally I don't go to places like Hooters or Twin Peaks but made an exception because my friend is a bit holier-than-thou Christian.

Our waitress was a pretty 19-yo dressed of course to please. The whole time my friend barely talked to her. I thought oh well, but when we left he admitted he could not get her out of his mind. Who? I said. He replied, our waitress. He couldn't stop thinking about her.

He said he will be up at night thinking about her. He will drive by the restaurant often, hoping to see again.

I said, dude you're 48. She's just a little older than your daughter. 

Sounds like he needs a trip to the dentist. 

Or maybe he should buy a Hyundai. 

Or a hot date with Many. 

I would suggest therapy, if you're really a good friend. His behavior is completely abnormal, and if he does become so obsessed that he acts on it, you'll feel responsible for not trying- 

That man needs help. He needs to get out and get him some, that's not healthy. He sounds like a creeper and if he doesn't stop being socially awkward then he will never be happy and might act out on his suppressed creepiness. Help him!

How did you find out how old she is?

I find it weird that he would even have a conversation like that with you. Who even talks like that? NO ONE NORMAL.

And yet, he's a Bible study leader in the church.

I didn't post a lot of the things he said while we were at Twin Peaks. Things that made my neck hairs stand on end.

So his position is, if a woman approaches him and smiles at him, and says nice things to him, and dresses sexily, that she is interested in him. If she is not, she should not be doing such things. So, in turn, he has the right to escalate things to the next level. Because that's just how men are. They want sex. And a woman, by acting that way, is giving him signals to go ahead and pursue her for sex.

I said, umm, she's just working at a job and wants to get a good tip. The waittress doesn't really want to sleep with you.



Oh, and Polly Ester, we found out the waittress's age because she told us. We'd asked about some of the drinks they were serving, and she said she didn't know what they tasted like, as she was 19 and couldn't legally drink. 

He sounds like he might be related to that Duggar guy.

Yes, they certainly do! And it usually has nothing to do with how the woman looks or what she says. It's just already in their head that if she so much as acknowledges that he said something to her, she wants him! LOLOL.
