Yup. Happened the other day. Anything specific we can advise on?

Spent the entire weekend teaching my child how sticks and stones can break their bones.

My child dealt with verbal bullying for almost a year. Then, when became physical and the the little witch who had been making racist comments to her and calling her poor ended up with a bloodly lip and a bruise. Yet somehow my child was the only one sent home.

That's how you handle a physical bully. I hope you didn't punish your child for standing up for herself.

My daughter had a particularly psychotic one bothering her last year. It got bad enough that she would call and threaten my wife; this kid was in 6th grade!! I hear she got expelled this year for posting nudes of some other kid.

Punish her?

HELL NO. We took her out to celebrate. Even her teacher was proud of her for not backing down.

Damn. That's crazy. It'd be ironic if her mom was the one that made a fool of herself suing the school over a Facebook post.

1. Take Jr to Martial arts training.
2. Confront the school, teacher, principle, ISD brass. With all the vigor and ferocity they deserve.
3. Make sure to stand behind Jr for support.

That's what I did. Worked out great.

To recap my remarks to my child some years ago: 'Someone launches on you, defend yourself effectively and I'll deal with the rest. Now go to school.'

I definitely agree with this. It really helps with confidence and discipline.

Exactly. I told my child not to start it, but if it got physical she needed to end it. She ended it.
