hOW uttterly unjust that they're each not getting at least a 16 year term.
Scrubbing toilets wouldn't be punishment enough either!!! maybe we stick their head in them!Meantime the restitution they are being ordered to pay only comes out to a little over $18 grand peryear. That poor child was robbed of her life and her hildhood!!!

lOOKIE HERE!!

Prolix Raconteur --- 6 years ago -

"Texas couple" LOL

They're citizens of Guinea (one of those sh*$hole countries HAHA), where that type of caste system is very much alive and well. In their minds, they did nothing wrong. Just business as usual, Guinea-style, where nobody would bat an eye at their behavior.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 6 years ago -

It's a GIRL, no one cares.

KwMillennial --- 6 years ago -

No one cares? More paranoia contradicting the evidence.

The article has over 3000 comments. A quick read of the comments shows this is obviously something people care very passionately about.

Prolix Raconteur --- 6 years ago -

Oh, plenty of people "care" alright. Care enough to virtue signal to their "friends" on FB/social media about how mortified they are.

Then they post videos of dancing cats and whatnot, their conscience temporarily assuaged, until the next opportunity to be outraged.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 6 years ago -

You sure are sensitive to any comment I make. Paranoid much??
The “concern” took 16 freakin years to surface.... you need to wise up. Being a female is not like being a male in society...

WHO wouldn’t be outraged NOW???

sdanielmcev --- 6 years ago -

Our judicial system is for retribution, not revenge. The sentencing is for the crime, not your outrage.

sdanielmcev --- 6 years ago -

The “concern” took 16 freakin years to surface.

No. It took 16 years for her to alert authories. The matter was corrected as instantly as possible.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 6 years ago -

Who said I wanted revenge?? I'm just pointing out that if you are female, you run a much higher RISK of being treated like someone's property. And it's not even a red flag to people....you don't think people saw this situation?? No one said a damn thing did they? She escaped, thank God. She rescued herself.

It's the same thing with sex slavery, and sex trafficking, and forced prostitution.

Women are targets from about every walk of life from the pieces of scum that are every where. From the park right here in Kw to the young woman who got into the wrong Uber car and wound up dead...
Even an idiot can see that. But bc most perps are men, you just gotta defend it.

Rise up and live in truth. It won't help anything to pretend it's not real.

KwMillennial --- 6 years ago -

Turning the same observation back on the messenger. This is an evasive strategy. Is that how you avoid confronting your own distortions such as selective abstraction, magnification, arbitrary inference, and over generalization?

Remember, YOU made the statement that “It's a GIRL, no one cares.” based on zero evidence, and even opposite evidence to the contrary. Your effort to turn the issue back on me is without merit.

If you are now tempted to claim that I am getting off topic as yet another defensive response, please hold yourself to the same standard. Stating that no one cares because of the victim’s gender is off topic in my opinion. I’m obviously not claiming to speak for everyone and no one but myself.

KwMillennial --- 6 years ago -

you don't think people saw this situation??
It is possible that no one did. Why is this difficult to believe?

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 6 years ago -

Were they living in a cave??

Prolix Raconteur --- 6 years ago -

Obviously not, but they are Guinean nationals living in north Texas (talk about fish out of water!). The likelihood of their assimilation or openness to any neighbors they may have is minimal, unless, of course, their neighbors are of the same heritage and proclivity. In which case, you are right, they probably don't care.

KwMillennial --- 6 years ago -

No. They are humans. Humans are very capable of social psychological influences. In this case, IF neighbors observed an under-developed child, it would not be unusual to rationalize it under what’s known as diffusion of responsibility. People find it easy to assume that others are taking action. People also have children with developmental issues. We tend not to ask a lot of questions or get into other people’s business when a normal thinking person knows it may be a sensitive issue. We also tend not to think our neighbors are housing enslaved children, because that just doesn’t happen often. So it is much easier for us to rationalize more plausible explanations that do not involve child slavery. It happens, but it’s not the norm.

Prolix Raconteur --- 6 years ago -

It's a GIRL, no one cares.

I disagree. People in western cultures would be equally outraged if they knew their neighbor had enslaved a boy just as much as if they had enslaved a girl.

You're missing the bigger picture here. The one that shows many countries in Africa and Asia still have a thriving slave trade. 40 million people are enslaved today according to the UN. It's accepted to this day as part of their culture, so to your point, yes, they don't care.

Now import that culture to western norms and sit back and watch the outrage ensue, and rightfully so.

Multiculturalism is a globalist sham. Some cultures are better than others. Period. And it's not racist/bigoted to say so.

sdanielmcev --- 6 years ago -

I have 5 sisters. Don't give me that garbage that I don't care because I don't wear my outrage on my sleeve.

Miss Understanding --- 6 years ago -

It's a GIRL, no one cares.

yOU GOT THAT RIGHT including Prolikx Racoonteur!

Pro it may be where they're from but THEY ARE NOW A TEXAS COUPLE LIVING IN TEXAS. Well now living in Texas prison rightfully so but not for long enough.

Miss Understanding --- 6 years ago -

That most definetily depends on ones perspective. Period as in menstrual? lulz

Prolix Raconteur --- 6 years ago -

You clearly didn't read what I wrote or simply don't understand it.

That most definetily depends on ones perspective.

Well, my perspective (and anybody with a brain) would clearly be influenced by a State Dept travel advisory that says I'm very likely to be a victim of kidnapping, robbery, assault or murder should I decide to travel to Guinea.

So yeah, US culture mo' bettah' than Guinea slave trading, crime ridden, terrorist hotbed culture.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 6 years ago -

She was also never allowed to go to school, ever. The couples own kids were all well educated. I wonder how, after 16 years no one noticed that?

When she escaped, she fled to the neighbors, who then helped her.

The fact is, these kinds of things, the sex trafficking and slavery are more than just a little likely to be girls.

It is what it is, despite the Internet psychology experts.

Miss Understanding --- 6 years ago -

AMEN SISTER!

sdanielmcev --- 6 years ago -

Actually, sex trafficking is equally divided between boys and girls.

sdanielmcev --- 6 years ago -

Rise up and live in truth. It won't help anything to pretend it's not real.

And you do what? Nothing. Except whine on this forum that this is horrendous.

KwMillennial --- 6 years ago -

When she escaped, she fled to the neighbors, who then helped her.

Wait, what? Even though she was a girl? That cannot possibly be true! We all know society doesn’t care about girls. Well, we learned that from you a few posts ago, but things have obviously changed since then. It worked! You did it, all with your internet posts!

KwMillennial --- 6 years ago -

Actually, sex trafficking is equally divided between boys and girls

Yeah, I’m going to need to see some evidence of that. My google skills have failed me tonight. I’m not seeing it. Are you talking about victims of sex trafficking?

Miss Understanding --- 6 years ago -

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 6 years ago -

Oh come on. It's way more females who are slaves and sexually exploited. Why do facts bother some so much?

I love how you specified "West" Africa to pump up the white/black agenda you have in your heart.
