I am very upset that my 23 year old daughter is so addicted to this stuff and it is legal. We have smoke shops in Kingwood that sell this poison and our leaders let them do it. There are lots of lives lost with this stuff.
It is poised as strawberry kush and other flavors and etc. They sell pipes, paper and these kids can get busted for having this but not the fake pot.
The place is open 24 hours a day. Some of you know where the main one is, but how do we stop them?

constmanager --- 12 years ago -

there's a smoke/head shop in Kingwood?

Medical strawberry kush??

Defcon1 --- 12 years ago -

You don't. They have banned it a million times. Every time they just alter the chemical slightly so it isn't included under the banned chemicals.

You want to know how to stop people from smoking fweed? Legalize real marijuana.

SleightOfHand --- 12 years ago -

If only she knew how its made.

Where is there a smoke shop in KW?

Zone D'Erotica. I went in there to check out their shoes. (For all you shoe lovers google Ellie Shoes. So gorgeous just don't go to Zone D to check them out. Eek!) Anyway, we were in there for maybe 5 minutes and in that time there were about 8 people or so that came in for the "potpourris". A few were tweaking and had sores all over their arms from meth use. One of those girls didn't have shoes on and had the NASTIEST dirty feet. Blech. There's a sign by the pipes and such that says something like if you mention the word drugs you will be told to leave.

Needless to say 5 minutes in there was too long.

uh Huh. Yup, I would have DEFINITELY thought that was a shoe store too......

;)

Legalize marijuana.

Yes its Kush. One of my siblings has the same issue!. And another one has tried it...drives me nuts! The crazy part is, every single person i know who has tried Kush, has had a seizure of some sort. It has to be dangerous. i have NO CLUE why its legal. Pisses me off every time i think of it.

captureit11 --- 12 years ago -

You can get it anywhere really...you would be surprised how many "back rooms" there are at gas stations, etc.

kingwood resident --- 12 years ago -

I remember seeing a news story about Kush, I believe it was outlawed. That store needs to be reported to the police.

What's sad is the desperate need for people to be in an altered state, regardless of the consequences. And people profiting off of this sick need.

Terrible. :(

What in "H" is that supposed to mean?
This IS a serious problem you know...or do you?

I am guessing you dont drink at all.

I agree. My son has had problems with this stuff in the past. No matter how much we tell him of the bad side effects, he didn't care. It's as bad as any drug only drug tests won't pick up on it. He even stole small stuff from us to get the extra money to feed that habit.

The "legalize pot" comments are redundant. It's not legal now so that's not an answer to the problem.

People just need to realize that the bad things in life are going to happen along with the good. Deal with it like the rest of us that don't need quick fixes to problems that will still be there when the sober up.

SwimSwim --- 12 years ago -

I see these kids in the ER every so often. Mainly seizures, stupid kids don't seem to realize this stuff can kill them.

Dorothy Parker --- 12 years ago -

I'm sorry Bob, I guess I should have specified when I said "desperate need" that I was talking about someone showing up to a porn shop filthy dirty, without shoes and having sores on their face, looking for crap to smoke to get high.

I don't look at an occasional glass of wine with dinner or Happy Hour drinks with friends, in the same light.

Alcohol is a drug.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 12 years ago -

there's very little a parent can do, if their teen is a risk taker- even if they have obvious sores from the poison in many drugs, there's no law against sores...the police won't do a thing, and you end up as crazy as the kid- gotcats is right- there's no easy fix, you just have to hope your kid grows out of it-they will, or they won't-

I didn't even know this stuff existed. How scary. I can not believe it is legal.

Defcon1 --- 12 years ago -

False. Legalize, then there will be no need for people to go trying to get the same thing in a synthetic, potentially dangerous form.

SNAFU --- 12 years ago -

Well, to answer your question, we'd have to take a look at our countries history.

It's the 1920's. Crime rates are through the roof around the country, Speak-Easies on every corner, all fueled by the illegal sale and distribution of moon-shine and other alcohol.
People died all the time from bad batches, or being killed over the back-house alcohol.
Police tried to combat the violence, but in the end, the only thing to bring peace to the Country was ending the Prohibition.

Ergo: Legalize marijuana, a plant that's never killed anyone, and people will stop buying the fake stuff that does the same thing, but harmfully.
