My house is flooding right now. Something is very wrong with the plumbing and everything is backing up and all over the floor in every room. Who can I call as an emergency plumber. HELP!

ladybeachbum --- 11 years ago -

From the toilets or pipes?

Cs Land Escapes --- 11 years ago -

Do you know where your main water valve is? You can turn it off. That doesn't solve the problem but should help a little.

I Kissed Frogs --- 11 years ago -

If you live in Hunters Ridge there is a clogged sewer pipe that has backed up through a manhole because someone has been pouring grease down their drain. It might be coming up because of that. Does it stink?

Cs Land Escapes --- 11 years ago -

I don't mean by the meter either. Those I think the city can only shut off. There should be one on the outside of the house near a spickot

It is I WhyWhyWhy --- 11 years ago -

from the shower, tub, kitchen sink, toilet. Different bathrooms. On hold with roto rooter. This is like a nightmare.

It is I WhyWhyWhy --- 11 years ago -

Its a crappy situation for sure...

mutton --- 11 years ago -

gotta turn off outside valve!

ladybeachbum --- 11 years ago -

I had this in part of my house once. You need Roto Rooter but if it is in the main line like Ikissedfrogs says, not sure it will help. Find someone with a water vacuum quick before it gets in your carpet.

Snake Plissken --- 11 years ago -

Will opening the trap outside help if the sewer is backing up? I

I would be freaking the f*** out if water was coming up from every drain in my house!!

So sorry!!

And that pic is so gross, Sinister...lol!

*Annie* --- 11 years ago -

Abacus plumbing but expect a hefty price tag

mutton --- 11 years ago -

I think I just threw up in my mouth!!

lizziemom --- 11 years ago -

We really are having an emergency here. Can't get any plumbers to respond. If you seriously know of someone we can call or something we can do, please respond, but don't waste our time joking.

JenJen --- 11 years ago -

Were you able to shut it off outside?

JenJen --- 11 years ago -

Here's the number for Abacus:

What neighborhood are you in?

Mago4058 --- 11 years ago -

Call your insurance and see who they'd recommend. Service master does clean up, my brother worked for them. We had Scott from serve pro with our fire they were eh. How horrible, my co worker just had this happen best of luck!

lizziemom --- 11 years ago -

Woodstream. We found someone who can get someone out in an hour.
AAAction plumbing

Daisy --- 11 years ago -

Edited- we actually used a different company similar name. Glad they are coming out so quickly! Hope they solve your problem fast!

JenJen --- 11 years ago -

I'm glad you found someone! I hope you don't have too much of a mess to deal with.

You can call me Michelle --- 11 years ago -

Have you turned off the water outside?

lizziemom --- 11 years ago -

We opened the trap outside and it made all of the water in the tubs and sinks retreat. That's a relief, but this is really dreadful. thanks for everyone's advice.

You can call me Michelle --- 11 years ago -

Ok, call your homeowner's right now and let them know what happened and ask what precautions to take for the carpet and whatever else may be damaged.

ladybeachbum --- 11 years ago -

Be careful involving insurance until you know your deductible. Most homes have a large deductible because of hurricanes. It usually is not worth turning it in. Call and ask before submitting a claim.

Nightshade --- 11 years ago -

Where is the outside trap usually located?? I have no idea where mine is.

AngieKaye --- 11 years ago -

good glad you found the outside trap. We had to do the same. Your not in Elm Grove are you? We ended up with the main cables from Suddenlink breaking out pipes years ago, had issues and were told it was our place to replace them UNTIl we found them at fault then they paid. Call the city first and see if they can help.. Second call Omega plumbing they are honest and not that expensive

AngieKaye --- 11 years ago -

I have no idea where mine is.

ours is in the ground next to where the main waterline for the house is.

zapper007 --- 11 years ago -

Prayers.

Sorry all the smart azzes had to come out - when you really needed help.

zapper007 --- 11 years ago -

Whenever you call any insurance company - for property damage, your policy may get flagged as a "higher risk"...

*Annie* --- 11 years ago -

Stanley Steemer is who I use for caroet cleaning. They do furniture, too.

Glad my suggestion provided some relief. I learned that one from a similar experience.
