If anyone knows who drives that old copper chevy truck please inform them that their truck is too loud and scared my child when they decided to turn it on at the gas station on Northpark. My child still has ringing in their ears from that and that is ridiculous. There is no reason your vehicle should be that loud, fix it now or next time I see you I'll call the cops.

Heaven forbid someone should turn on their vehicle at a gas station.

Is there anything a police officer would do for a loud vehicle? If unsafe would a loud truck pass the state inspection?

Sorry your child's ears are still ringing.

Looooool

Just wow. Let's just say that if a truck existed in kingwood that literally had the ability to hurt and or cause ringing of the ears I'd have known about it.

I've ridden in 800-1000 hp cars that still didn't have that ability.

Maybe the truck owner is broke and can't afford a quiet vehicle. If it passes inspection, then it is fine. IMHO, if you aren't going to help them out and buy them a new truck, then stfu about it because IMR, you are griping about the loudness of a truck. There are bigger deals to be dealt.

Old Chevy TOO LOUD
Loud pipes save lives.

Kingwood Pressure Washing --- 10 years ago -

I have a neighbor that loves to rev up his engine early in the morning (6:00 a.m.) and during the evening when he gets home (10:00 p.m.). I don't mind great sounding cars or truck, but there is a time and place for everything. I never really cared much about it, but now that it wakes up my seven month old daughter it's a little different. I've asked politely that he not rev it up so early and late, but I feel like he does it even more now. I wonder if a potato in his tailpipe will help?

Leila --- 10 years ago -

There is a car that I hear regularly from blocks away. It sounds like a race car.

I really doubt that the sound is because of lack of funds to repair it, it is more likely someone that ether enjoys the attention it attracts or is driving a dragster type car on the streets.

Either way, it is annoying.

Its Mygirl01 --- 10 years ago -

I have one right across the street, revs it up at all hours of the day! It's a teenager, so in addition we get blaring music to go with it! Also the daily blaring sirens are loads of fun for us!

mutton --- 10 years ago -

I am sure it would be annoying if you lived near it...

PICASSO --- 10 years ago -

Fix it NOW!!!!

Sath --- 10 years ago -

It was a teenager at the gas station, he filled up and got back in turned it on and let it sit for a minute with it revving. Does anyone know who this is so I can contact the police and complain? And for those saying it's safe cause it passed inspection, what about if he got it inspected then adjusted the exhaust system cause there was a smell of straight burned gas while he was doing this

Butch --- 10 years ago -

This is the most ridiculous complaint I have ever heard. If loud noises make your child's ear hurt, I suggest that you leave your kid at home to protect those delicate ears. Now that you know that your kids ears are easily injured, if anyone on this site sees you out and about with your child, please call child services and complain. Since you posted that you know about the ear condition, if you happen to take your kid in public again, it would be a second offense if caught.

Jake from State Farm --- 10 years ago -

Sath what if the vehicle Pre dates 1985 and is not required to pass emissions?

TinktheSprite --- 10 years ago -

Boys: Loud cars do NOT make you a man.
Men: Loud cars to not make your dangles bigger.

No, but your dangles make them louder

mutton --- 10 years ago -

Told young one when first out, louder they are harder cops look for you...

DVaz --- 10 years ago -

Couldn't be any louder than a fire siren up close and elementary kids stand right by them.

OL AG 89 --- 10 years ago -

Call the whaaaaaaaambalance...... Somebody been victimized.... Wonder if they've ever been on an airplane or lived near an airport?

Sharticus --- 10 years ago -

Forget the noisy pipes. Did he park backwards while he committed this heinous crime?

mutton --- 10 years ago -

That was just too funny!!! Forgot all about that thread...

OL AG 89 --- 10 years ago -

I always back in, it's easier to get dually in the spot and it actually takes less maneuvering than pulling in head first.... It's a courtesy I extend to all you little car drivers.... Your welcome!

Not KU --- 10 years ago -

Call the whaaaaaaaambalance..... :]
When my 1st born was a lil guy, I too was not nice to noisy bikers and alike. Overly protective? A little. We lived on the corner of our neighborhood and lots of people would do burn outs at the stop sign at the corner.

Lighten up Sath.

mutton --- 10 years ago -

I still think living right next to it could get irritating. Hard to say as I do not have it to deal with...

Sharticus --- 10 years ago -

it actually takes less maneuvering than pulling in head first

Well, that is physically impossible. Unless you drove in backwards (which is not beyond the realm of possibilities in this town, I suppose). You must pass up your spot, put the car in reverse and if by chance you are the 0.001% of all backwards parkers that get it right the first time, you still haven't used less maneuvers.

Can o' worms, reopened. :-)

Wonder how sath feels about the semi annual car shows in town center?
I bring the old sprint car with the "Zoomies" just because it just pure raw unmuffled horsepower....
best part of the show is when cars are coming in or when a group leaves rumbling the ground and rattling the windows.....good times, good times!

OL AG 89 --- 10 years ago -

Sharticus.... Name the place and time..... Bring your camera!

You'll be amazed to meet a .001%er.....

Sharticus --- 10 years ago -

You'll be amazed to meet a .001%er.....?

Yes I would. Because the other 99.999% owe me about two days of my life.

mutton --- 10 years ago -

Nooooooooooooooooooooo, not again!!!!! lol

FabFive --- 10 years ago -

Until you've regularly driven a dually or giant SUV you just can't get it. Backwards is best.

zapper007 --- 10 years ago -

Golden rule of mufflers...

Loud noise = little "you know what"...lol
