Per Fact Check dot org:

Carly Fiorina claims that ?emergency room visits are up over 50 percent? under the Affordable Care Act. Her campaign did not respond when we asked where she got that figure, but there is no evidence we could find to support it.

Fiorina, who is running for the Republican nomination to be president, made the claim on CNN?s ?State of the Union,? when she was asked about the Affordable Care Act requiring insurance companies to cover people with preexisting conditions. Fiorina said she has endorsed that goal, but she said the law has not worked ? including the promise that it would save money by reducing emergency room visits.

Fiorina, Aug. 9: Demonstrably, if you look at the results of Obamacare, what you see is emergency room visits are up over 50 percent.

We asked her campaign for the source of the statistic, but we didn?t get a response.

You guys don't care about lies or you would vote differently and you wouldn't defend half the crap you support

Eclipse --- 3 years ago -

There have been numerous threads on KU that have made the same claim about ER visits being up by 50% since the implementation of the ACA, but because Carly Fiorina said it it's suddenly false?

LMAO
Comical coming from someone that loves killing people through "war," discriminating against them, screaming "JESUS" in their face to support your bigotry, and getting all your information from Alex Jones and Glen Beck.

We don't support your intolerance and the hatred seeping from your pores.
You're just going to have to get over it.

she simply misspoke like Obama when he visited 51 states..

I think it was actually 57 states ...

Joe Blow --- 3 years ago -

57.

If you're going to stupidly drudge up 8 year old obvious error, at least get it right. LMFAO

That doesn't make any sense ... care to explain that?

Joe Blow --- 3 years ago -

The onus is on you. You prove it is true. That's what it means.

Eclipse --- 3 years ago -

The onus is on you. You prove it is true. That's what it means.

No, the onus is on you (since you entered the fray) and Jams to prove it's a false statement.

Nice deflection though.

DatBoyHooD --- 3 years ago -

care for me to bring up current liberal quotes when they misspoke .. Btw polls show that 44% of doctors say they've seen a increase in Er visits when Aca was supposed to reduce the visits

Eclipse --- 3 years ago -

If you're going to stupidly drudge up 8 year old obvious error, at least get it right. LMFAO

I did get it right ... check out Snopes if you don't believe it.

So who's the stupid one now?

Eclipse --- 3 years ago -

I guess Joe has left the building and moved over to the rape thread ...

Of course the mechanics of how that worked is completely irrelevant. If ignorance were a tree, Id be talking to a Thicket of Redwoods.

It's only irrelevant to you because it doesn't work in your political favor.

He lied. Lie of the Year 2014

Have to say was a big blow to many (the you can keep your healthcare plan).

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 3 years ago -

emergency care is still needed, with or without insurance- if you go for a cold, that's one thing- but if something's really wrong, that's where you're doctor tells you to go- so I really don't see why that would change-

SoupIsGoodFood --- 3 years ago -

You'll save $2500 in premiums per year under Obamacare. Another big lie.

Lie of the Year 2014?

I kept mine. Premium decreased but coverage increased. Prescriptions are all now zero and one is $30.

Butterbean --- 3 years ago -

I kept mine. Medicare. Love it.

edited to add: I think it should be available to everyone.

them --- 3 years ago -

My "Cadillac" plan has gone up over $3000 a year and I have to pay a percentage any procedure.

60 Minutes called my company's insurance "amazing" ten years ago. Thanks to gov't regulations it now sucks.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 3 years ago -

Sounds like an Obama cheerleaders wet dream.

Most folks premiums went up and coverage decreased.

Sounds like an Obama cheerleaders wet dream.

Just the facts as I'm living them.

them --- 3 years ago -

Does that apply to all prescriptions or generics only? Nasonex went from $60 a year to $1,200 a year because a similar medication has a generic available.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 3 years ago -

I have to stop a med I've been taking for years- It's not covered by this company, and it would cost me $3000.00 every 90 days!

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 3 years ago -

Btw, it's generic, now-

SoupIsGoodFood --- 3 years ago -

Sound more and more like witchy's claim is baloney.

I've yet to meet or speak to anyone who's premium didn't increase, their coverage changed for the worse, and their prescription coverage got worse.
