So who was the big name in town yesterday? Two motorcycle cops escorting with lights and sirens 3 "Beast" style black Cadillacs blowing through red lights and weaving through traffic sped down Kingwood Drive heading east from the freeway to Fosters Mill, where the motorcycle cops peeled off and the 3 Cadillacs turned right and sped into hat neighborhood.

I can't imagine Obama made a secret trip here. He has no friends in Kingwood.

Butterbean --- 9 years ago -

Didn't mean to offend.

Let's start with the waterboarding.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

Let's start with the waterboarding.

What CFR in place at the time says waterboarding is illegal?

Eliza2 --- 9 years ago -

Cheney As in our 43rd President

When did we vote him President?

witchywoman --- 9 years ago -

Waterboarding is torture and is illegal under international law. But you knew that.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

What international laws is that? We are accountable for US law.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 9 years ago -

Thanks Witchface.

It is contained in Article 7 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), ratified by 153 countries, including the United States in 1992, and in the Convention against Torture or Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (the Convention against Torture), ratified by 136 countries

It's an international human rights treaty. Why am I not surprised that you don't agree we need to follow treaties we sign or that you are against human rights?

Take your high fullotin' arrogant attitude elsewhere. The USA doesn't need you around anyhow.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 9 years ago -

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

It is contained in Article 7 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), ratified by 153 countries, including the United States in 1992,

If you had bothered to read just a little bit further, you would have found that the "United States has not accepted a single international obligation required under the Covenant. It has not changed its domestic law to conform with the strictures of the Covenant.[95] Its citizens are not permitted to sue to enforce their basic human rights under the Covenant.[95] It has not ratified the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture (OPCAT). As such, the Covenant has been rendered ineffective, with the bone of contention being United States officials' insistence upon preserving a vast web of sovereign, judicial, prosecutorial, and executive branch immunities that often deprives its citizens of the "effective remedy" under law the Covenant is intended to guarantee."
