Sorry. around 11am I may have been your traffic delay.

I was at the Toyota dealership at the will clayton exit and made a right to go southbound on the feeder and make a uturn. Suddenly I heard screeching and braking and I felt an impact and I was pushed about 30 feet and stopped. I turnec on my flashers and tried to get out of my car, but the drivers side would not open oGot out of the passenger side and called police.

I am fine, but this is going to be an insurance battle. Please pray for me...

Gigix4 --- 9 years ago -

OMG! Mulchie, I hope you are alright. The traffic is crazy and I have gotten to where I don't "look" once or twice but sometimes 3-4 times. Somebody is always on a hurry and speeding. I almost hate to be on the streets anymore. If it's not someone speeding, it could be a falling tree.
I'll say a little prayer for you and hope the insurance companies can work it out for you.

Gigix4 --- 9 years ago -

Oh yeah ... I hope you have a good supply of wine to help you relax this evening.

CavemanBarney --- 9 years ago -

Glad you're Ok, RM.

mutton --- 9 years ago -

OMG, you ok? Thoughts and prayers...

Four Pinocchios --- 9 years ago -

**snicker**

**snort**

Sounds like you were at fault.

Screen grabbing for posterity...

I'd like to feel sorry for you, but....
I...
just...
can't...

OK mulch defenders, bombard me with PM's and tell me what a bully i am and how karma is a B...

LMAO

freebyrdll --- 9 years ago -

No need to hide behind a PM in a case like this. You are simply a mean spirited, sorry excuse for a human being.

sheddy --- 9 years ago -

Why do you think you will have to fight the insurance? If you have full coverage they will pay if you were at fault or pay if the other person had no insurance and was at fault.

Did anyone have to take a breathalyzer test?

Did anyone have to take a breathalyzer test??

I don't think Freebyrd was there.

LOL! if she were there, it would have probably been a hit and run.

Four Pinocchios --- 9 years ago -

But one would be curious to see how the at-fault driver tested on the State's instruments. I mean sheeeesh, who PULLS OUT IN FRONT OF A CAR!!

It was either drunkeness or old age, one of the two.

SleightOfHand --- 9 years ago -

You can request a copy of the crash report from the agency who worked it. Was it humble PD or county who worked it?

I am not sure. I think it was Humble Traffic Enforcement. That is what it said the SUV they were driving., or I thought so. it may have been Harris County.

My lawyer friend said that they had "the duty to yield" so I should be OK.

Their insurance will not allow direct billing of my rental car. That sucks

Im glad you're ok Mulch. The follow up, car repair et al is a PITA.

RedMulch --- 9 years ago -

PITA.
?? what is a PITA? lol

idontplaynice --- 9 years ago -

Glad you're okay RM. Car accidents are scary.

mutton --- 9 years ago -

I believe PITA = Pain in the arse...Not the eat me pitas!

RedMulch --- 9 years ago -

thanks. It is my first ever. I know you don't believe that, but it is true. It has been a very rare troublesome week.

mutton --- 9 years ago -

Main point is if you and other are both physically ok! Insurance will work out the rest...

Dorothy Parker --- 9 years ago -

You turned right and then immediately got into the left lane to make a u turn? Is that what happened?

RedMulch --- 9 years ago -

You turned right and then immediately got into the left lane to make a u turn? Is that what happened?

No, not at all.

witchywoman --- 9 years ago -

Sounds like she didn't make it into the left hand turning lane because she got hit as soon as she entered traffic. Sounds to me like someone was cut off and they rammed into her.

Dorothy Parker --- 9 years ago -

Coming from a driveway into a street and being hit, means you failed to give right-of-way. And if you were pushed 30 ft, you definitely cut them off.

Hope you have decent insurance.

Kwood13 --- 9 years ago -

If you were rear ended then it's the other person fault I'm pretty sure...

They are called accidents for a reason! Glad you are ok

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

Not necessarily. Depends on where the car that struck her was when she pulled out.

them --- 9 years ago -

SMH as I read thru this thread. The way some of you women treat each other is appalling.

You are wrong Dot, as usual. I was in the center lane. They tagged me on the driver side Turns out they did not push me, I drove myself to the position in the left hand lane. (police report) where my car came to a stop. My corporate driver training came in handy.

I don't know why some of you are so against me. You don't even know me. but, then again, I don't really care.

Yes, Mutton, I am OK. thanks for asking.

And for the idiots out there....the right of way belongs to me. the exiting people have a duty to yeild. Know the law if you are going to try to inforce it.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

Glad you are all good. Now get rid of the Toyota.

Dorothy Parker --- 9 years ago -

From your original post, no one could have gleaned those details. You said you left the Toyota dealership, wanted to make a U-turn, was hit and pushed 30ft. You never said you were in the center lane.

And if he hit you in your drivers side door, was he trying to get into the center lane or were you trying to get into the left lane to make your u-turn?

As far as people on KU being against you, who knows. Maybe they just don't like the way you post.

RedMulch --- 9 years ago -

Emp. I don't have a Toyota. I have a Nissan. My daughter has a Toyota that was there for service. I always get it trying to help someone...

I am at the point of not posting here at at all. Sad, but true.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

Oh don't let the shrew get you down. There's enough good folks on here to make it worth it.

Dorothy Parker --- 9 years ago -

Good luck with whatever you decide.

RedMulch --- 9 years ago -

I am so sad that the young are so stupid. I wish they had finished high school. I am so sad about it all.
