They violated sanctions against North Korea and Iran among other wonky wrong things.

Some say it is because he didn't know what he said?!

I just don't get how this move helps us. :( We don't need that as a bargaining chip. And it is soooo against what he has been saying he wants to do in relations with China. I don't give a rat's behind if they lost too many jobs in CHINA!

He just says whatever. Why can't we have a sane Republican president? :( It was Hilary or Trump...Hilary or Trump...it was like a freakin' nightmare the nation can't wake up from :(

My hope for next time: a sane, liberal, professional Democrat who believes in their platform and will fight for it versus a sane, conservative, professional Republican who believes in their platform and will fight for it.

America votes for the candidate they want in a civilized, normal American way and this farce ends.:(

Is it even remotely possible that you don't know what's going on behind the scenes?

Are we great again yet --- 7 years ago -

Donnie's buddies here in the USA make 100's of millions in profits from ZTE.

That was sort of the question. If he is going to use it as a bargaining chip why did he pick a company that uses shell companies and has a history of rather unsavory behaviour. They have gotten into all kinds of trouble over how they do business and is a fine example of the one-sidedness that Trump wanted to end in our relationship with China.

Trump actually addressed that he was concerned about too many jobs lost in China. Why does that have sway in his decisions?

I couldn't find where he is financially connected to them. That would explain what he did but I think that might be a tenuous supposition. Do you have a source on that handy?

OrdinaryGuy --- 7 years ago -

I couldn't find where he is financially connected to them.

He can't help anyone in which he has any financial dealings. That would be a conflict of interest. You need to realize that the liberals usually will make a lot of unsubstantiated claims that are not true. That's what they do...such as:

They usually say things like that to get people going. Don't even give them any credibility. They also tend to state their opinion like it is fact. None of which is true!

DVaz --- 7 years ago -

ZTE phones are great for us poor people.

This goes on with everything political that we discuss here. Does this mean you never comment on any of those discussions because you really don't know what's going on?

So far, many of Trump's moves that scared the hell out of me turned out to be positive. I'm taking a wait and see position on other things. (I still think he has the morals of an alley cat, but so did Bill Clinton, who I loved, for the job he did as prez-)

Which ones; if you don't mind sharing.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 7 years ago -

He's meeting with North Korea, backing Israel, our only real friend in the Middle East, tax cut seems to be working to help everyone- stock markets soaring- I know one thing I definitely don't want, is a liberal democrat as pres. and/or taking over congress. I'm a moderate, and that's what I really want.

Myra801 --- 7 years ago -

Will think about those points; thanks for sharing them.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 7 years ago -

you're very welcome!

Nicely said but you made yourself a target now for all the liberals on here. The Markster seems to forget that Obama lied a ton. (You can keep your doctor!!) Oops I forgot, if a democrat does it it's okay. It's only wrong when a Republican does it.

LOL
It wasn't a lie and that = all the lies Trump tells.
*I'll show my taxes when Im elected
*I'll be so presidential
*I'll make America great again
*Health Care for all at a fraction of the cost
* My Favorite lie...No collusion w/ Russia. LOL LMFAO

and so on

OrdinaryGuy --- 7 years ago -

* My Favorite lie...No collusion w/ Russia. LOL LMFAO

Where's your proof? Collusion means he worked with the Russians. If you have proof the Mueller would like to talk to you.

*I'll make America great again

He's done more in 18 months than Obama did in 8 years. I quote "It's the economy, stupid!"

Not KU --- 7 years ago -

Mueller doesnt need to speek to me. Just the same..Its my favorite lie that Trump keeps repeating. I'm not suckered. I knew it from the start. Trump is nothing more than a carnival barker, and his supporters love a show.

OrdinaryGuy --- 7 years ago -

Well, for a carnival barker he sure is much more successful than Obama ever was. What does that say for Obama? One thing you can't take from him is that he tries to keep his campaign promises unlike Obama who never did!

I don't think anyone meeting with Kim will really change things. He postures, makes nice, and then promptly goes on being who he is. I think Trump thinks it will be different for him but Kim doesn't have any respect for anyone nor does he feel he should. Photo op for both and Kim Jong-Un goes back to jerking the world's chain. Or, at least that's what he has always done and in my opinion that will be how it actually plays out long-term.

I don't think Israel is our friend as unpopular as that statement may be and I might get blasted for it but I think all the countries in the Middle East jerk us around and lobby us hard for our support and our historic interest in the area keeps us connected to the leash.

The economy is always in flux but I will accept it at face value. Low unemployment; a good thing. Don't look that gift horse in the mouth:)

And, you don't have to be an analyst to know bull markets end at some point; I think we should enjoy them while they last and save as many pennies as we can while we can :)

Sorry it took so long to respond and opinion-ate on your points. Thanks again for sharing. We all have our own perspectives and opinions on how things are going; it's nice to just talk about how we see things.
