I just found out I have a moderate level sex offender living next door to me, I have children and live across from the community park and pool. Also our school bus stops are across the street. I was under the impression that registered sex offenders could not live close to where children are? What can I do about this?

Dr Aborto --- 5 years ago -

What does it say he did?

Sphincter --- 5 years ago -

I have offended some with my sex... well, not so much my sex as my smell...

Just Watchin --- 5 years ago -

I don't think there is much you can do since he is not near a school. In that instance, I think he has to put a sign on his residence. Several days ago I posted the watchdog website link and I hope this helped your search.

Smoochie and The Bean --- 5 years ago -

Check on the family watchdog site, it will state what he was charged with.

Dr Aborto --- 5 years ago -

I looked it up and if I'm looking at the same person it was aggravated sexual assault on a 13 year old when he was 19. Doesn't look like he served any time just probation. Same guy?

Okay. I see we have to issue a pervert alert to the moderator.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 5 years ago -

These pedos are everywhere and the ones that have not been caught are the ones you gotta watch for secondary to the ones who are labeled by the law.

FANCY PANTS --- 5 years ago -

You are lucky to know what and where he is. It is the people you think are ok that are not registered yet that you really need to worry about. You do need to talk to the kids in your home and make sure that they know what this guy did and to not trust him. Years ago when they first made this kind of info available on the internet we found out that there was a sex offender very near us. It was a struggle at first. Then I realized that it was good because at least I could tell my kids that they needed to stay away from him and where he lived. He is only a few streets from an elementary school. I didn't think they could live that close to a school but in this area there are so many schools I don't see how they couldn't be close to one.

SexOffenderFAQ

Just Watchin --- 5 years ago -

Q. Can they go to school grounds, parks or community centers?

A. If under probation supervision they will have child safety zones stating they cannot go within a certain distance of school grounds, parks or other places children gather. Offenders under parole will have some conditions on them. All conditions vary by each individual offender.

This is the area that would be of concern since there are many community pools within the neighborhoods. It may be something to also bring up to your HOA.

You could have done something when you were 19 and still in your 50's, it would haunt you. You are marked for life as a Sexual Offender. Is the perp a troublemaker after all those years, or what this a youngster's folly? Who knows?

Texas Department of Public Safety Registered Sex Offender Registry

I like to go straight to the Texas DPS website to search. Looks like there are 27 registered sex offenders in 77339 and 4 registered sex offenders in 77345. You should check it out every few months if you are concerned for your safety.

Also keep in mind, if someone purchases a home (say across the street from a school) PRIOR to being convicted, the state can not make them move. They will allow that person to stay in their home regardless of what it is located around. They can restrict where they move in the future but only if it is a condition of their probation.

Sexual assault of a 14 year old.....No this guy is on parole and yes he served time for the offense. We were originally told he went to prison for repeated drug offenses. He was born in 1955 so no that cannot be him. This guy has numerous offenses sexual assault, drug related charges etc. He has No sign in his mothers front yard yes he lives with momma, he does not own the home.

Jeff777 --- 5 years ago -

Shoot him

Perfection --- 5 years ago -

You could move.

If he has registered with his probation officer and they haven't put any conditions on him then you can't put conditions on him.

From the information you provided, this is your neighbor.

INDECENCY WITH A CHILD BY EXPOSURE
STATUTE TEXAS PENAL CODE 21.11 (A)(2)
VICTIM SEX FEMALE
VICTIM AGE 14
DISPOSITION DATE 10/27/2006
SENTENCE SENTENCED TO 6Y
STATUS PAROLE

So he was sentenced to 6 years in 2006, so now he is just a paroled sex offender and he can live pretty much wherever he chooses.

If you aren't comfortable living next door to him, then it is time for you to move.

Isn't it wonderful how the laws are made to protect the criminals instead of the rest of us and their victims?

He should have to wear it tattooed on his forehead, forever and live in a place especially designed for scum like him, with other scum like him, not out in the world with so many potential new victims. How many rehabilitated pedophiles have you heard of?

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 5 years ago -

No, she doesn't have to move, but they can make darn sure he knows they know his background too. He's a pervert, why should the honest people move?

Identity Crisis --- 5 years ago -

The ones you have to watch out for are children who have been molested and are acting out with your child. Even if you don't allow sleepovers, bad things still happen.
Parents should have close supervision on their children at all times. No closed doors.
Just my opinion...

Warren Peace --- 5 years ago -

Isn't it wonderful how the laws are made to protect the criminals instead of the rest of us and their victims?

Instead of the rest of us? It is because of the interest in protecting us that we know where most convicted sex offenders live, who they are, what they look like, and what they've done. No?

FabFive --- 5 years ago -

Put a sign in your yard that has his picture and crime, with an arrow pointing to his house.

Why do we not have mandatory death sentence for those pieces of shyt?

Have you written your State representatives to make these recommendations?

Only to a degree and then it's ok for them to circulate among the rest of us undetected. Sorry, some crimes just should never be forgiven. Kids, the elderly, handicapped, those groups need to be protected from these animals. Who gives a damn about their rights, they should lose those forever when they do these horrible things. After all, their victims will never get to be normal again, after what they have done to them.

And again, how many rehabilitated pedophiles do you know of?

How many repeat offenders?

UR fake conservatives and moro --- 5 years ago -

The government had him serve his time and deemed him safe to live in neighborhoods. Gov't knows best, right?

FabFive --- 5 years ago -

Never heard of a rehabilitated pedophile.

I probably should write to our senators. I write about a bunch of other stuff be get tired of the generic email response. Maybe I should go in person.

Dorothy Parker --- 5 years ago -

I wish I hadn't opened this thread. :(

FANCY PANTS --- 5 years ago -

I think they should have to put a sign in there own yard to warn others of what they have done. They should also have to have a tattoo to identify them as a sex offender.

Smoochie and The Bean --- 5 years ago -

I really wish they did have to have something permanently visible on them that alerts people to potentially dangerous people. If they were involved in a violent sex crime, everyone they meet should be able to be on the alert.

Perfection --- 5 years ago -

A sex offender could also be a 18 year old who has a 16 year old gf and ends up marrying her a few years later. Should they also be permanently marked?

Wow that's pretty tough.

FabFive --- 5 years ago -

Maybe they should wait until all parties are 18.

Perfection --- 5 years ago -

I think I have seen it posted here before that asking a teen to wait for sex is impossible.

Heck some parents even allow it in their homes because they are so "cool"

Identity Crisis --- 5 years ago -

You have to warn your children of the risks they are taking if they want a relationship with a minor. 16 and 18 doesn't seem to bad, but it could ruin your life. Just keep talking to kids, maybe something will stick.

FabFive --- 5 years ago -

Pretty sure asking a teen to wait for sex isn't impossible, even if ku says it is lol.
