What time can the yard guys begin mowing/weed whacking? I tried to find the info on the GreenTree HOA website but to no avail. Anybody know the answer? 

7 a.m. is what I have always heard. 

I heard it was 8:00am... my neighbors get ticked if it is before 8:30am 

You kind of can't blame them for trying to get it done before it gets too hot...........

Same here. But mowing is an art form that should not be rushed, but savored. Hence, take a little extra time and DO IT right. :) 

I agree. I can't believe the neighbors would demand they wait until 8:30. During the school year we have a school bus with loud brakes that screeches to a stop in front of our home at 6:45 a.m. 

My neighbor was out mowing her lawn at 10:30 the other night.....using a flashlight! So glad we moved! :)

Are you sure she was mowing?? Sometimes mowing looks like other things...:) 

I do my own yard work and try to get it done early before the heat. A neighbor does their yard work at night after the sun goes down.

It's summer, the heat is brutal, give them a break. It's only a few months.

Maybe I should throw a fit? Can you imagine kids needing a ride to school? Why should I be bothered by that? 

They were mowing this morning .. i always appreciate It when they stop cutting the grass when you jog by so grass doesn't get in your eyes :) 

I hired a lawn service. I don't care what time they do the lawn as long as it's good. 

I wish I could start at 6:00!! I do wait till 8 tho. It was particularly steamy this AM and I like to get it done early. I do it during the week so most of my neighbors are gone at work or already up. If my neighbors demanded I wait till 8:30 - I'd ask them to pay for my lawn care then they could set up any time they liked!

Me too! It is already hot and humid at 6:00 but I try to wait until 8:00. If they ain't up by then, it's time to get up. 

My mother-in-law used to mow at night. She had a flashlight that was super bright that had a strap she could hang around her neck.

I can't imagine an HOA being able to dictate when a lawn service can start mowing...most those guys don't get started until around 8am anyway. I mow my own yard and never start before 8...8:30 on weekends, but I use an battery powered mower that's not nearly as annoying.

I guess you could also mow at night when it starts to get cool - would people be more ticket at early morning mowing, or late night mowing do you think? 

It's 7 a.m. My lawn guy gets to my house at 6:55 and starts promptly at 7 a.m. I don't blame him it is too hot! 

People behind us have a lawn service & they show up a little before 7:30 am & when it hits 7:30 they begin, so I always thought it was 7:30. 

Just fired the hotties that were mowing my yard. A couple of cute college kids! They kept mowing and weed eating the edge too low and it was killing the grass in this heat. Now I mow every 2 - 3 days. The grass is in training to grow low and outward! Plus I save $100 a month to use on water! Only takes 5 minutes as I have replaced lots of grass with rocks.
