Im Really Not Snake Plissken --- 11 years ago -

drunk and weaving in and out of traffic.

pregomommy --- 11 years ago -

was anyone else in the car with him?

kinz --- 11 years ago -

The article didn't say so, I'm assuming her was alone.

Ender --- 11 years ago -

I hope prison life is hard on this guy

Or better yet, he could take care of himself so we don't have to pay for his upcoming love excursion

Kayry --- 11 years ago -

OH MY GOD! Oh Lord Jesus this makes me cry, I know him, I know his family, I taught him and his siblings in bible study as children....oh LORD!

Prayers and more prayers out to his family and everyone involved!?

Sucks when the perpetrator is someone you know and love. Doesn't make you love them less in a lot of cases. I'm sure he is sorry for what he did. Maybe he will get his life together and somehow make something positive come out of what he did.

Kayry --- 11 years ago -

Thank you for the positive words TUT...

You are welcome. I'm pretty sure he didn't set out to kill someone that day. He made a very very stupid mistake. Twenty Two year olds do that sometimes, unfortunately this one will be with him forever. He will have to pay for that and he should.

Eclipse --- 11 years ago -

I'm sure he is sorry for what he did.

Nicely said, TUT;

Not to distract from the pain that the family of the lady who died is feeling, but I simply cannot imagine the pain this young man is wrestling with ... or, his family.

So sad for everyone

It is extra heartbreaking when the actions of a person impact so many people forever. At this point, it can not be undone.

Maybe, just maybe he will turn his life around. But it is going to be a long road and for the family who was robbed of a loved one nothing will be able to put back what he took. I agree, it is tragic in many ways.

Now I feel like an jerk... I am sorry

Absolutely, I in no way meant to make light of what he has done or seem uncaring about the family that has lost their sister, mother, grandmother, aunt or friend. Heart breaking for all of them and the little girl that potentially saw her lifeless grandmother.

Eclipse --- 11 years ago -

^^^ I never took it that way, TUT ^^^

What you wrote was very nice ...

Its easy to react harshly to such a unnecessary and avoidable loss of life especially when it happens in such a careless way. I guess that makes you human too.

I doubted many did but if the family is ready this I just wanted to make sure that they weren't hurt by my comments.

WatchOut --- 11 years ago -

Just a shame all around, so much needless suffering because of a stupid mistake.

Kayry --- 11 years ago -

This young man is going to need so much prayer and help on so many levels! His family, the family of the woman fatally injured, such a terrible tragedy...

Leila --- 11 years ago -

I was reading on the other KW forum. Someone said he was guilty of other things. That may just be ugly gossip so I am not trying to cause anyone further pain by referring to that. I just certainly hope there isn't a pattern of bad behavior in this young man's life. He is young but he is an adult and will face charges as one.

It just serves to make me more aware, not just of my own driving habits, but to realize someone like him could be the person in front of me or behind me.

That poor woman and her sweet granddaughter. I am so grateful the child is back with her family and not in the hospital.

sheddy --- 11 years ago -

I hope he punished to the full extent they can sentence him. I'm sure he has heard since grade school, don't drink and drive. It does hurt when these things happen to those we know. It always seems like the person who is driving drunk lives.

I just went there and read what was posted about him on that site.

Let me just say, I would take all of that with a grain of salt.Given the source of information, I think someone took some unsubstantiated rumors and posted them as fact.

We all know how that works with certain people, and that's all I'm going to say about it.

mutton --- 11 years ago -

Sorry this is how you found out this way Kayry. Prayers to all...

snowprincess --- 11 years ago -

I will pray he gets the maximum sentence. That is the extent of my prayers for him. He knew his actions put others at risk and he didn't care if they died at his hands.

This is why our society has such a problem with drunk driving. Stop feeling sorry for the killers.

FANCY PANTS --- 11 years ago -

Stop feeling sorry for the killers.?

I don't think anyone feels sorry for him. I do however feel bad for his family. They certainly do not deserve the pain he has caused them. I of course feel horrible for the lady and her family and will pray for all involved.

Wicked --- 11 years ago -

Unfortunately, his life sentence has already begun. This is tragic.

Wicked --- 11 years ago -

And let me add. He was extremely intoxicated at 9 AM. He has some serious problems. Detox will be hard on him.

DVaz --- 11 years ago -

Wicked, he was likely still intoxicated from a late night of drinking rather than drinking alcohol for breakfast.

FANCY PANTS --- 11 years ago -

How long do you stay drunk?

Gigix4 --- 11 years ago -

How long do you stay drunk?

Depends on how long your drink?

mutton --- 11 years ago -

and how much...

Gigix4 --- 11 years ago -

and how much...

Definitely!

I see what you mean. Maybe a mod could remove my previous comment. I am not trying to start anything or post rumors.

Not what I've heard from a friend of his. I hear he drinks 24/7. Addictions suck. I hope he gets the help he needs.

Let's hope it doesn't happen again before he begins serving time.

Nightshade --- 11 years ago -

Fallon wrote on the other board:
If you kill someone while driving impaired you should have to serve a 25 year term per person killed. And face a 50K fine. And never be eligible for any time of government aid in your life. Period. Yes you will stay pay into SS but you will never see a dime of that money.

My reply is off topic and requires yelling so maybe it sinks in...
SOCIAL SECURITY IS NOT GOVERMENT AID! IT IS SELF-FUNDED BY THE RECIPIENT!

Sheesh. Simple concept, people.

SOCIAL SECURITY IS NOT GOVERMENT AID! IT IS SELF-FUNDED BY THE RECEIVER.

I know! Why don't these people know that?

Nightshade --- 11 years ago -

Maybe none of them are ever employed thus never contribute?! :)

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 11 years ago -

thanks for making that point, once again- people seem to think it's a give away program- btw, good to see you again, Nightshade!

Kayry --- 11 years ago -

No matter what there are now two families experiencing terrible grief who need prayers and an incredible amount of help!

I sincerely hope and pray the young people of our community will learn a life lesson from this tragedy....

Totally agree, it was also never suppose to be a retirement program that met all your needs and wants. It's basically to keep you off the streets and from starving. If you want more than that you need to save for retirement.
