Me and the wife ate there last night. That place is great ain't it?

Wolfram --- 10 years ago -

nope, it ain't.

RonSwanson --- 10 years ago -

nope, it ain't.

Awesome! great discussion! I'm thankful that you could add such quality to this discussion.

RedMulch --- 10 years ago -

I think it is great. Especially Sunday brunch.

andreweggplant --- 10 years ago -

Sure seems hit and miss on the food and service... Been there three times, 1st time was great, 2nd time OK and 3rd time... Well I most likely will not go back. A number of threads on this place out there and they are all over the map.

Wolfram --- 10 years ago -

Awesome! great discussion!

Not interested in discussing one of the worst restaurants in Kingwood.

whatchamacallit --- 10 years ago -

I've been twice and had two different items from the menu. Both items were excellent. I like it!

RedMulch --- 10 years ago -

Wolfram - What is your favorite restaurant?

Wolfram --- 10 years ago -

Chimichurri's

Work in Progress --- 10 years ago -

We've eaten at Union Kitchen once--it was really good and the service was excellent. Get the Groupon (if it's still going) for a much cheaper meal!

We like Chimichurri's too!

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

I too was not impressed with it. Atmosphere was ok but the tables were too close. Food was fine but a bit over priced for the quality. Service was on par but nothing outstanding.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

Chimichurri's

Is good. They are a once a week for us.

RedMulch --- 10 years ago -

I love Chimichurri's myself.

The food at Union may very well be a little pricey. If I remember correctly, a glass of Charodonay is $11. a bit steep

Wolfram --- 10 years ago -

They are a once I get my welfare check for us.

You a competitor?

The meals we had last night were superb.

mispissy --- 10 years ago -

Where is Chimichurris?

gunsnroses --- 10 years ago -

Odd that Chimichurris keeps getting mentioned. We ate there a couple of years ago and didn't care for it. Food was skimpy; over cooked.

aragon --- 10 years ago -

I feel sorry for anyone opening a restaurant here.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

Chimichurris

As far as restaurants in the area go, its a case of being the tallest midget.

Jepperd --- 10 years ago -

Not interested in discussing one of the worst restaurants in Kingwood.?

Then why in the hell did you post in a discussion about the restaurant?

Warren Peace --- 10 years ago -

It's definitely on my list of places worth going for repeat visits. They have several very good menu items you're just not going to find anywhere else. Lobster grilled cheese sandwich? Seriously, who does that? Now that I've had it, I want it at least once a month. But I think I want to enjoy it in a private room just in case me and the sandwich get too carried away.

Grandmas Treasured Mums Garte --- 10 years ago -

lol @ WP

RedMulch --- 10 years ago -

Anybody been to that "Mainely" place down on WLH? I need to go there before they fold.

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

My husband said the same thing, Mulch!

That location is cursed....

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

And I've never been to Union Kitchen. Maybe Warren can take me there...

Rubicon --- 10 years ago -

I liked Union Kitchen. I liked Sorrento's better. Chimichurris is fantastic.

SleightOfHand --- 10 years ago -

Porterican --- 10 years ago -

Union Kitchen is a really good restaurant. Had Sunday brunch there last week. Outstanding.

Jpgirl --- 10 years ago -

@Warren now why in the heck did you have to go and mention that lobster grilled cheese sandwich. It is so rich and decadent and now I want one. We like Union Kitchen- we just don't get there too often.
I didn't care for Chimmichurris either. I don't even pretend to be a food or wine critic- I eat what I like and Chimmichurris isn't on the like list. I honestly could not find one dish on the menu that I really enjoyed

Franklin --- 10 years ago -

Crab cakes are among the best I've ever had.

But yeah, as some others have mentioned, it's way overpriced.

Oregonian --- 10 years ago -

For great food and great service try Brennan's downtown on Smith. Took two out of town friends there Sunday for dinner. Everything is alacarte so don't be too surprised at the total.
One thing, the wine list is impressive but way overpriced. Fortunatley our German friends were great beer drinkers.

gunsnroses --- 10 years ago -

Last time we went to Brennan's we sat in "the screaming baby room". Food was not worth the drive.

aragon --- 10 years ago -

What places do you consider good?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

I like Mortons and Shulas.

Gigix4 --- 10 years ago -

I like Mortons

Me too!

Joe Blow --- 10 years ago -

Does Randle know about this?

Polly Ester --- 10 years ago -

Count me among the Brennan's fans!

I have never even seen a screaming baby room there. You realize you could have asked to be reseated? I always request the main dining room, in the corner so I can see everyone. :)

They have a salad that I am addicted to...the Creole Cobb Salad with shrimp and crab. The crab cakes there are also fantastic.

Not to mention the 25cent martinis they offer at lunch.

Commoner Sense --- 10 years ago -

I like Mortons and Shulas.

Overpriced chain steak houses just a half step above Outback.

whywhywhy1 --- 10 years ago -
