Attn SleightOfHand...

Gigix4 --- 10 years ago -

Nothing pi$$es me off more than to see someone abuse the handicap parking spaces.

(I don't get out much! LOL)

Love My Creator --- 10 years ago -

Call the police when you see her there. They will come out if there is an officer in the area on general patrol and give her a citation. Starbucks should be calling them every time she parks there. It is their duty.

OhBrother --- 10 years ago -

Take a picture of her car parked in the handicapped spot. Make sure it clearly shows her tag.

Call 311. If cops in the area they will ticket her.

antesocial --- 10 years ago -

If you really want to make a difference, the City of Houston has a program that addresses this issue:

*LOL* --- 10 years ago -

I honestly can not understand the mentality that someone would have to take the parking spot intended for someone disabled. I hope that if this is true, they are ticketed for it. I would be so ashamed if I did that and someone called me out on it, that I don't believe I could ever show up there again.

SleightOfHand --- 10 years ago -

Is she ever there before 6? I drive by at 530

Simple solution...just park behind the idiot so she can't leave until the police arrive.

Print out a note stating..."Handicap spots are for the physically hadicapped, not the mentally handicapped which you obviously are.!"

I just don't get it! It is Starbucks for crying out loud.

Why on earth would someone not be willing to walk the few extra feet, especially with this beautiful weather we have had lately, to get their darn overpriced coffee!

She should be saying her prayers that she is able bodied and does not require that reserved spot!

Perfection --- 10 years ago -

Wow

Not only is that rude, it is wrong.

Who the HECK are you to judge which disabilities are allowed?

mutton --- 10 years ago -

I have actually had people that wanted me to park in those spots when dh was not in vehicle with us. i parked as far away as possible cos it pissed me off. they never asked again, lol.

mutton --- 10 years ago -

If you have a disability you have a tag, you know then who is allowed, physical or otherwise, rude or not...

Jpgirl --- 10 years ago -

When I was going there around 6AM on Fridays she was there-every Fri!! She's pretty bold- because you're not the only one who's confronted her- it's like she totally doesn't care what you say to her- amazing!!

GrannyX5 --- 10 years ago -

I think you should block her in and call the police dept. They will have her either towed or ticketed...you might want to talk to Starbucks, they have better leverage to call police. Is she there am or pm?

Starbucks aint going to dime out a daily customer. And if you write her she will pay a quack $35 for a tag for her 'allergies'. My rule is you better be in a wheelchair or else...

Johnny Slam --- 10 years ago -

I saw a guy do this when he was victim of a hit and run. He was almost arrested for kidnapping or false imprisonment, I dont remember which. If you block her in, you would have to say your car wont start. WHen five-0 shows up, then your car suddenly starts....it's a miracle!

Oregonian --- 10 years ago -

Anyone who is stupid enough to park there without a tag doesn't have enough sense to realize when anyone is being rude to her.

Show me where being mentally disabled is grounds for a handicapped sticker.

Then again there are a lot of drivers who would probably qualify.

Oregonian --- 10 years ago -

Some should get there before her and park in "her" spot. Then be rude and laugh when she has to walk a few more feet to get her coffee fix.

Rubicon --- 10 years ago -

Now my curiosity is peaked and I want to see who it is.

And if you write her she will pay a quack $35 for a tag for her 'allergies'.

That's taking it a little far. Do you think someone who is too lazy to park a few feet away in a regular spot would take the time to search out a "quack" to sell her a tag?! I guess anything is possible.

DH has parked in a handicap spot before to let me run in and grab something from the gas station. I told him not to park there and felt uncomfortable with him doing it, but he did it anyway. WELL, when I walked out of the gas station to get back into the car, I was called a nasty name by someone walking in. Thanks a lot, honey!

boatguy011 --- 10 years ago -

there actually is a 1/2 course you can take that authorizes you to write tickets for that.

but her car was at an angle over the Handicapped spot.

Sounds almost like it's intentional. She must have issues with disabled people.

I know what I would do, but it would be illegal.

Oregonian --- 10 years ago -

Try standing behind her car so she can't back up and pull out...if you have a good lawyer...it's hit and run, right.

Looks like she has been reading KU and is doing this intentionally. Poor sick soul!

SleightOfHand --- 10 years ago -

"but her car was at an angle over the Handicapped spot."

It's still illegal.

Leila --- 10 years ago -

Next time take a picture and post it!

aragon --- 10 years ago -

Poor sick soul!?

She's probably one of those psychos that "doesn't like being told what to do" and will do anything (no matter how vile and disgusting) to spite others.

Rubicon --- 10 years ago -

Seriously?! Too funny!

Rubicon --- 10 years ago -

Set up a sting. Get someone who actually needs a handicap spot to go there and confront her and bring a cop as well.

Oregonian --- 10 years ago -

Thought about it...but I would get there first and park in the spot with my sticker. Then again sit back and wait until she parks there and then confront her.

That course sounds appealing...but she is probably the type that would ignore the ticket. If she did, then what?

This is getting to be fascinating!

Davi --- 10 years ago -

Is the spot marked just with a blue insignia painted on the concrete, or is there an sign as well?

Polly Ester --- 10 years ago -

Print out and put on her windshield:

Cajunmom --- 10 years ago -

Take a lipstick and write on her windshield. I park in handicapped parking. Something like that but do it with lipstick.

Identity Crisis --- 10 years ago -

What a fun story to follow.. Can't wait to hear the details unfold.

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

Get a lawn chair and sit in the spot before she gets there...lol.
