So I have now heard the cleared area by Towsen will be a Bass Pro Shop and not a Costco.

Anyone else hear this? I still want the Costco.

mutton --- 10 years ago -

I like bass pro!

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

Surprise! No Costco!

KWKayaker --- 10 years ago -

Me too, but would prefer a Costco. Hmm...maybe we will get the both best of both worlds.

KWKayaker --- 10 years ago -

Seems like our area will be getting a lot of changes.

SleightOfHand --- 10 years ago -

Yaaay!!!

Work in Progress --- 10 years ago -

Really? Bass pro? That's a cool store, I'll shop there. But I would use a Costco MUCH more.

Feeling disappointed :(.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

Bass pro shop...yay....

ladybeachbum --- 10 years ago -

That location didn't seem right for a Costco but I was hopeful. Actually, it may be a good thing I don't have one close. I love that place and would be there every few days!

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

That's a good way to look at it- unfortunately, I just buy stuff somewhere else, I just pay more-

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

So, hunting gear and guns over a Costco...

That probably appeals more to the demographic here.

Work in Progress --- 10 years ago -

Bass pro has more than that. Camping, fishing. . .all things outdoor. My boys LOVE Bass Pro.

But I still love Costco. That's more my speed. Giant amounts of food and wine. What's not to love?

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

I don't go to either place...so, no biggie either way. :)

Work in Progress --- 10 years ago -

Even with a big family? I figured you guys would be huge Costco shoppers.

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

Never been a club store person...

Work in Progress --- 10 years ago -

I didn't think I would like it, but it is kind of nice if you have the storage. And Costco is nicer than Sams. Costco is to Sams what Target is to Walmart.

*LOL* --- 10 years ago -

I thought people posted that they had heard from their "inside sources" that there definitely going to be Costco.

I don't care much either way but would probably use Costco more. Bass Pro? I don't think I'd ever go there.

ladybeachbum --- 10 years ago -

Oh, Dorothy, go to Costco and with 5 kids you would need a trailer to take it all away! You would love it.

babs1125 --- 10 years ago -

No mention of a Bass Pro Shop being built in Humble anytime soon according to their website. The only future store listed for Texas is going to be in Round Rock.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

I hope you're right-

FXR2 --- 10 years ago -

Costco or Bass Pro -- I don't care.

I want a Dairy Queen!!!

NitANee --- 10 years ago -

Does everyone "get off" on ruining surprises on here?

Here's an idea: wait until a sign goes up. Problem solved and no speculation required.

mutton --- 10 years ago -

Is half the fun...

Butterbean --- 10 years ago -

Gonna be a massage parlor super store called A** Pro.

All you ever wanted for indoor activity.

If you look on the map of the Houston Costcos, there are none on the East side at all. And this is such a largely populated area around the lake and around the airport. It makes no sense that they didn't locate one here before the Woodlands. I could care less about a fishing/hunting/gun store. I want a Costco!

ladybeachbum --- 10 years ago -

Me, too! I'm not that impressed with Bass anyway.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 10 years ago -

I thought it was going to be a Mexican restaurant!!

Boo!

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

I was counting on a new bank...

Gigix4 --- 10 years ago -

I want a Dairy Queen!!!

YES! Please. :)

And a Rajun Cajun would be nice too.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

Dairy Queen! Soft serve!!!

Gigix4 --- 10 years ago -

Soft serve!!!

Mmmmmm ... and Blizzards!

Work in Progress --- 10 years ago -

Lol, no banks, pawn shops, nail salons, Mexican restaurants, hamburger joints, or liquor stores needed. We have enough.

Requesting developers for: Costco, Sweet Tomatoes, INDIAN FOOD (are you listening?), a stand alone bookstore, indoor playgrounds. . .

What else?

SoupIsGoodFood --- 10 years ago -

It's going to be a cowbell factory.

them --- 10 years ago -

Indoor playgrounds... YES!

I wouldn't hold your breath for any new bookstores.

Work in Progress --- 10 years ago -

Perhaps a new bookstore is a pipe dream. But you know what, I bet we could support a used bookstore if they catered to the homeschool community. That's huge in Kingwood. The closest homeschool centered bookstore is in Willowbrook.

Wicked --- 10 years ago -

What else?

Whole foods, Trader Joes, or Sprouts!

aragon --- 10 years ago -

Whole foods, Trader Joes, or Sprouts!?

Good luck

Wicked --- 10 years ago -

Good luck

What is the opposition to having these three stores come in on the East side of Houston? Breathing in too many fumes from the South?
