His GF made him homeless.

The EX girlfriend protected herself. Good for her.

No sympathy here.

PokerFace --- 8 years ago -

uh... did you read it? He had 45 days to leave. He also physically assaulted her. She has every right to protect herself from further "incidents."

She should have acted earlier. Most men who hit women will do it again.

Yeah I read it. Not saying he was in the right. He sounds like a db. Anyway sounds like she was out of his league and figured she could do better.

Calculating and cold. She is to be admired...and a little feared. :)

She absolutely did the right thing. Good on her. He's showing the classic "poor me, I've been so good recently, everyone is against me" routine all abusers get. She's obviously a strong woman who got fed up with her situation and is doing everything to rid herself of it above the book.

Abuse doesn't have to be physical to be abuse. It's been over a decade since I left my abuser and it was the absolute best decision I ever made.

I love seeing strong women take stands.

Yes, and Yes.

them --- 8 years ago -

Not all women are perpetual victims.

mutton --- 8 years ago -

LMAO...and um, no, I feel no pain for the poor guy. Flex those muscles at the gym...

TinktheSprite --- 8 years ago -

HE made HIMSELF homeless. Brave girl!

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

Thats something ive noticed about men lately..... They all say they want a smart woman but when they GET one, its a whole different enchilada. Lol

Most women hang around far too long and then shes a dummy. When they do leave, cold and calculating. The key is who cares what anyone on the outside of abuse thinks?? And IDPN, is that you in the thread since you have so much sympathy for him. Lol

First we would need to ask a smart woman.

Jams or Dorothy where are you? Is this accurate?

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

Don't feel so threatened by me Fuzzy, I hate to see a grown man cry, or whine, both are a huge downer.

idontplaynice --- 8 years ago -

You wish. And no, I don't have any sympathy for the db abuser.

I said she was "cold" in a good way - as in revenge is a dish best served cold. She was meticulous and methodical, and I find that to be impressive.

Prolix Raconteur --- 8 years ago -

Since when do snark, vitriol and pretense qualify one as "smart"?

Dorothy Parker --- 8 years ago -

I don't understand why she stayed for two years after he hit her...giving someone like that a second chance is a horrible idea. It's why he's seemingly dumbfounded by the situation.

Also, there's no mention of how long they were together or their age...both would factor in how this situation played out.

Hopefully, this girl makes a clean break and he moves on with his life without planning any sort of retaliation. Based on his reaction, I would fear him stalking her. Especially if she plans to return to the same apt after 45 days.

LOL......... that's exactly what that was.

"I don't understand why she stayed for two years after he hit her...giving someone like that a second chance is a horrible idea. It's why he's seemingly dumbfounded by the situation."

It's the dynamic of abuse. Extremely common. Women feel trapped even tho they really aren't -and only trapped in their fear and emotions. It's a game, and the abuser knows exactly how to play her and even when she realizes what's going on, they often still stay....the whole thing is evil.

Dorothy Parker --- 8 years ago -

That's crazy to me...I really don't understand it. I especially feel bad for the women who have children with these men. It's a horrible cycle. :(

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

Yes. And kids only make it harder on the woman to leave. The woman is isolated emotionally. She usually never tells anyone. So all she's got is him and the kids, and she clings onto them with all she's got. The thought of losing them strikes fear in her heart, so she stays and he makes sure she has no one. Isolation is his power tool. There is a reason why it works so well. She's made to feel small and powerless.

Jeff11233 --- 8 years ago -

He got what he deserved. No man should should ever strike a woman...no matter what happened.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

The title of this thread is interesting. Instead of it being about a man hitting a woman, which is the epitome of a cowardly act, it's about a "cold hearted" breakup.

LOL, IDPN. You're a unique one.

Jeff11233 --- 8 years ago -

Then look at the comment. She didn't make him homeless. She gave him 45 days to find a new place.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

She should have called the cops and kicked him to the curb. But, that's not how it works. Unfortunately.
