President Donald Trump has a history of making comments about his daughter Ivanka which seem straight out of a cringe comedy. Whether it is him talking about her during an interview or during a media address, the president has always triggered negative responses with the way he addresses her in the public eye. The two have always seemed to share a different comrade than a traditional father-daughter relationship and this time was no different.

While addressing the crowd at a tax reform event in North Dakota on Wednesday, Trump said Ivanka really wanted to be there at the event as he called her on stage to join him. ?Come on up, honey. She's so good. She wanted to make the trip. She said, 'Dad, can I go with you?' She actually said, 'Daddy, can I go with you?' I like that, right? 'Daddy, can I go with you?'

Sicko!

If you listen to Trump, he always talks like that. Someone always is doing something or wanting to do something. They are so great. They, he is going to to best job, etc. He really doesn't usually say much, just the same thing over and over. Lol. I think he is just proud of his daughter.

The pettiness amongst liberals is disturbing.

Must be a slow to snooze gossip celebrity news day.

What a stretch. LOL

I guess I'm not getting it. Are you saying there's something wrong with a mans adult daughter calling him Daddy?

If so, I'll be sure tell tell my adult daughter to stop doing so.

BuiltinTX70 --- 71 days ago -

I think it's a bit over the top for the President to say it in front of people as he did.

And I've had many women say they'd be embarrassed to have that said publicly......

Just opinion.

I am a married woman with children and I still call my father, Daddy. The reason is because I love him. I suppose that because liberals are cold blooded creatures, they grow up and call their parents by their first name, if at all. That's why they just don't understand and that is the difference. Either that or as usual they are just looking for something to complain about, like maybe stiletto heels on the First Lady! So traumatic!

As a father and grandfather, it melts my cynical heart to hear my daughter call me daddy.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 71 days ago -

Daddy is a term of endearment, at least to me.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 71 days ago -

... it also means she wants something.

sheddy --- 71 days ago -

I watched the documentary Born Rich several years ago and Ivanka was the one person who seemed to have her head on straight. She said she was proud of her parents. It is on YouTube.

What is wrong with people criticizing Ivanka for calling him daddy. I called my father daddy all of his life. Leave her alone.

jackass --- 70 days ago -

LOL

I don't care if Ivanka calls him Daddy. I care when I hear the President of the United States call himself Daddy.

That's good because he was quoting Ivanka when he said it. He didn't call himself daddy.

I think that's an endearment most commonly used in the south- I noticed it the most, after I moved to Texas- even men use it when talking to their dad-

It's gay if you ask me.

sheddy --- 68 days ago -

Half the time, I call my husband Daddy. It started when my kids were little. I'd say Daddy and I, or ask Daddy. I said it so much, I forgot he had a name his mother gave him! lol

How about "Big Daddy" from Tennessee Williams, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 68 days ago -

That was a great play!

sheddy --- 67 days ago -

That was on the other night. Paul Newman was sooooo good looking.

BuiltinTX70 --- 67 days ago -

Again, I think it's just the saying it in public thing.

I know I'd be embarrassed.

And I doubt you'd hear Ivanka saying it in public as well.

President Donald Trump is authentic. He's not a career politician with years of smooth talking coaching behind him - what you see is what you get. He's a devoted father who outwardly shows his love for his family, a successful businessman who has a positive vision for America and it's obvious he loves our great country. Although wealthier than most of us, he's one of us. He has a purpose and vision for what he wants to accomplish in office. Who else would put aside the great life he had to run for President? To do that takes sacrifice and courage, of which he has both. I think of President Trump as "The People's President".
