What does this mean to Moore if he wins

SoupIsGoodFood --- 7 years ago -

The tailspin continues for the Democrats.

Another hypocrite bites the dust.

CavemanBarney --- 7 years ago -

Who?

whatchamacallit --- 7 years ago -

Who? is right. He should have never been in office to begin with. What a deviant clown.

Prolix Raconteur --- 7 years ago -

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..............

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

He got roasted by his own party as soon as the congressional black caucus cried fowl over Conyer's resignation (good lord let's not appear racist!). They literally threw him under the bus just days after all the crowing about "due process".

jackass --- 7 years ago -

He should have just blasted his accusers like a republican...

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 7 years ago -

The democrats are trying to look like they're taking the higher ground. This so reminds me of Animal Farm- the animals looked in the farmhouse window, and couldn't tell the difference between the farmers and the pigs-both parties are the same-

Not KU --- 7 years ago -

The democrats are trying to look like they're taking the higher ground.

Lol...They did take the higher ground. Franken "On his own" is resigning.

Trump bragged about his grabbing women because he could. Even worse is endorsing an accused pedophile. Where is the high ground there? (loaded question) in the case you seriously think the republicans have one.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 7 years ago -

Actually, he said he never wanted to give the impression that he was guilty- he said he remembered some incidents differently, and the others never happened. He also said nothing happened since he was elected to the senate- he gave the impression that he was taking one for the team.

jackass --- 7 years ago -

Republicans get a pass because they?re republicans...

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 7 years ago -

Also, if you read my previous posts, I specifically said both sides were the same-

Prolix Raconteur --- 7 years ago -

Up until yesterday Franken said he had non intention of resigning. Total BS he's "resigning on his own". He got piled on by his own contemporaries for both the reason Tatt mentioned (bogus appearance of higher ground) and Conyers and the Black Caucus whining about white congressional abusers getting a pass (typical race card BS).

He was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was designated to take a fall.

jackass --- 7 years ago -

Ok Franken our, who?s next?

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 7 years ago -

As usual, Prolix nails it-

BuiltinTX70 --- 7 years ago -

Had to happen.

Meanwhile, a Repub Rep in Texas remains despite paying off an accuser, and another well more known Senator to be is allowed to run, purely for political purposes in Alabama.

Interesting.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

"Franke on his own is resigning"

Are you kidding??

"Wall Street Journal- Washington. More than 30 of Franken's Democratic colleagues pressured him to resign his Senate seat after rumblings of new sexual misconduct allegations left the former comic teetering on resignation.

The MN senators office said he would make an announcement Thursday about his future but pushed back against reports that he had already decided to resign after the Avalanche of calls Wednesday asking him to resign"

So, no he didn't do squat on his own, he was literally FORCED out.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

And if Moore wins, there is likely to be an investigation about him. Hopefully they boot him right out the door too.

Not KU --- 7 years ago -

Are you kidding??

No. Im not. He did not do it from pressure. No ethics committee pushed him. I saw no gun to his head. He stated on his resignation on his own at the end of the year he would resign.

Conyers was pressured.
Moore will be pressured. Setting up Trump.

Prolix Raconteur --- 7 years ago -

Are you kidding??!! No less than 30 congress members piled on in the last 48 hours and said Franken had to resign. And those were all democrats; the republicans didn't have to say anything. That's more than caved on Conyers. Conyers got rolled because there was a paper trail of him paying off an accuser.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

Read the article. Stop denying facts bc it dosent agree with your agenda. Even his own party said he was pressured to resign. It's in black and white.

Oh ya, dropping mic. LOL

Not KU --- 7 years ago -

Oh ya, dropping mic. LOL

lol

Not KU --- 7 years ago -

Stop denying facts
Go ice yourself

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

That's funny. Again. Dont get mad bc you're wrong

Emperor of Kingwood --- 7 years ago -

Trump bragged about his grabbing women because he could.

No, thats not what he said.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 7 years ago -

He should have just blasted his accusers like a republican...

Because they can't provide any corroboration.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

More proof:

" Capitol Hill in Washington, (REUTERS)

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic U.S. Senator Al Franken announced his resignation from office on Thursday, bowing to pressure from party colleagues after a series of sexual misconduct allegations against him."

Not KU --- 7 years ago -

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -

well played. I yeild

BuiltinTX70 --- 7 years ago -

And if Moore wins, there is likely to be an investigation about him. Hopefully they boot him right out the door too.

So why isn't there more pressuring to push him out?

Republicans are basically saying it's more important to let Moore run, win, then oust him for another Repub replacement. How terrible.

Meanwhile, the GOP says they have a good shot to win MN with Franken out...

Talk about dirty pool..........

BuiltinTX70 --- 7 years ago -

Trump bragged about his grabbing women because he could.

No, thats not what he said.

Paraphrasing, that sure is what he said...in fact, he said worse........

BuiltinTX70 --- 7 years ago -

Do a Goggle on this gem: Blake Farenthold

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

"CNN-Al Franken's totally unapologetic resignation. He didn't believe he did anything for which he should be forced to resign. Franken's speech was defined primarily by his lack of any real apology and the clear bitterness he carries FOR BEING PUSHED OUT amid allegations he groped several women"

CNN Politics, The Point.

Not KU --- 7 years ago -

So why isn't there more pressuring to push him out?

Alabama hasn't spoken yet

Not KU --- 7 years ago -

He didn't believe he did anything for which he should be forced to resign.

That isnt what he said

BuiltinTX70 --- 7 years ago -

So why isn't there more pressuring to push him out?

Alabama hasn't spoken yet

Ohhh, so let's keep the best guy in there for winning the state, no matter how despicable he is......then simply kick him out because he's a bad dude, and replace with a better Repub.......

This actually works out well for the Dems....these tactics are going to hurt them come 2018.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

"That isn't what he said"

Yes it is. He's bitter bc he didn't think he should be forced to resign. He feels railroaded, and it's all in writing on CNN.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

Here's the link AND his speech.Franken unapologetic

So, he's not apologizing. He's bitter about being forced out. And he didn't resign on his own or possess some awesome level of "accountability."

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

Well, Farenthold is another beauty, LOL.

These guys are amazing. How they just think they can get away with anything. Unlike Mark, I see it for what it is, a male issue. I'm not deluding myself by thinking one party or one group is somehow better or not as bad bc some of my views align with what they SAY they represent.

The Republicans are old school: deny, say you're a "Christian" and blah blah blah and the Democrats, the party supposedly leading feminist support, and equal rights, are having to cave to the obvious in-congruency of their actions.

Emelia --- 7 years ago -

I never liked Franken. I always found him to be weird and untrustworthy.
