Have you had packages tampered with? Things that you sent that never arrived to their destination? Things arriving opened and things missing?

You aren?t alone. KHOU is airing a story tonite @ 10 with coverage of the story and interviews with locals. I had $100 in money gifts go missing. Something REALLY stinks! People are in an uproar over the thefts and missing, opened and tampered with mail.

I never send anything to kingwood by USPS the mail there is insanely unreliable. My daughter had found her mail in the middle of the street, several times she had to go to the post office to complain that she didn?t get mail for over a week and they had it all there. They just told her they had a problem with a carrier and that she (my daughter) should monitor her mail box better. Basically blamed her.

I'd bypass the local office and go above their heads.

LOL... does not make any difference. Already tried doing that. Took months to get a response and that response was "case is closed, cannot determine"

I don't think it is all theft, I think there is a HUGE personnel and carrier issue going on.

I agree, I think some of it is just poor employee performance and poor processes.
But I know they are stealing as well.
One guy actually put $5 in a brightly colored card type envelope addressed to himself with a note saying he knew they were stealing! They took the $5 and delivered it back to him. Lol

They are brazen bc you are going to need a sting operation to catch them and they figure it?ll never happen. So glad media has gotten involved.

USPS is a classic expample of what happens when the government runs an enterprise with no accountability for profit and protective safeguards against firing non productive employees. They get paid the same no matter how poorly they perform, so why bother putting in any effort.

The local office in KW is by far the worst around.

Miss Understanding --- 5 years ago -

I saw on NEXT DOOR and most are in Elm Grove they should go after that carrier.

They had this same problem in the Tomball area. I know they were trying to get a news station to do a story. Mail coming to the house with slits. People who had relatives asking about gift cards they sent. I think that one guy was fired.

We never have had any issues on our street. Sharon and Keith have been our MailDelivery persons for years. They are so accurate on time and very friendly. Every once in a blue moon there will be a delivery to the wrong address. But that is usually not Sharon or Keith. I have had one package gone missing. Lost in Humble. Never made it to Kingwood. They are still in search of it after 8 months. My guess is the electric back massager was mailed in it's original box. Some Humble Postal worker saw it and wanted it.

I am missing a package at this time. It happens often but eventually it always shows up. Humble post office is the worst with Kingwood coming a close second. If you look it up online Humble is listed with MANY stolen packages. I drop off packages to Porter Post office and never have an issue, ever!
