Since another poster has advocated for the Impeachment of Texas Governor Abbott, I'll throw the same question out there regarding President Obama.

wayward1 --- 10 years ago -

Write your congressmen. They have the power to do it anytime they want (as long as their fat @sses are in session). They even have the numbers in both houses to both impeach (the house) and trial (the senate) president Obama out on his rear. They just have to put out a little bit of effort to do it. And because of that I'd put the changes of success at around 0%.

Not KU --- 10 years ago -

Very nice.
But Why would anyone want to impeach a president with only 2 years left in this term? What has this president done that would deserve impeachment?

Un-employement down
Were out of Iraq
Bin Laden is dead
Our economy is strong
and so on.

Joe Blow --- 10 years ago -

Stop being practical Marko.

Why would anyone want Impeach the Governor of Texas who has only been in office for 6 months.

Regardless that PBO has 2 years left in office (actually, it's less than that), but if he's sidestepped his authority (which he has) than he should go.

Max01 --- 10 years ago -

Sorry, no one is going to impeach the first half-black president of the USA.

Butterbean --- 10 years ago -

You're absolutely right, *removed*

Eclipse --- 10 years ago -

Sadly, I agree with that ... but neither is the Governor of Texas going to be Impeached as one poster has advocated.

Slider152 --- 10 years ago -

Un-employment down - Yet Full-time employment only seriously seemed to improve after full-time was redefined as 35 hours/week from 40.

Were out of Iraq - That was a mistake... Now due to the power-void that caused and the subsequent rise of Isis, Obama is now considering redeploying troops.

Bin Laden is dead - Obama hardly had anything to do with that. But okay, I'll hand that to him on the backs of the military he sabotages at every opportunity.

Our economy is strong - That is laughable. Did he double or triple the national debt... I can't remember... Welfare is up, home-ownership down, Insurance premiums up.
I hardly see any of this as good for the economy.

And some of you are right... No matter how badly he is doing in office, we wouldn't dare throw out the first minority president. Political Correctness seems to mean more to us than actual progress and stability...

Butterbean --- 10 years ago -

I'm a lot richer than I was 10 years ago.

That's good.

Slider152 --- 10 years ago -

Me too... Because I know how to manage my financial situation even through the poor economy. It has definitely helped my rental business' success though since home-ownership is down and people aren't making enough to pay off their debt (to improve credit) and save for a down-payment for a home.

Calling names again.

Eclipse --- 10 years ago -

As am I, so much so, that I was able to retire at age 61 four years ago.

But as Slider152 said, it's all about making wise financial investments and knowing that your financial Portfolio is working for you and not Uncle Sam.

If PBO was able to get it his way, 40% of my capital gains would be paid to the IRS.

Why should I pay taxes on top of what's already been taxed?

So am I am. But Obama had nothing to do with my financial decisions.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 10 years ago -

Job Blow....... about as bitter as one can get.

You get any traction off your anti-Christian troll yet?

Joe Blow --- 10 years ago -

I see my slave has arrived. Bow down, Soup fer Brains Or I'm crackin the Whip!

Joe Blow --- 10 years ago -

Right. But be sure to blame him when you start losing money because then it's his fault.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 10 years ago -

LOL....... At least you've kept your sense of humor.

Joe Blow --- 10 years ago -

There he is, my christ-based hating slave, right on demand as usual. wOOf!

Max01 --- 10 years ago -

I think Joe is upset because he still can't get the rainbow to cover his profile pic on his facebook page.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 10 years ago -

BWAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!!

He's bitter because he can't destroy Christianity no matter how hard he tries.

That is exactly what Abbott is doing when he encourages state employees deny rights that were Federally upheld by SCOTUS.

Eclipse --- 10 years ago -

Yet you give Obama a pass when he side-steps the Constitution and calls it an "Executive Order"?

Sorry, but it does not compute ...

RedMulch --- 10 years ago -

I never voted for Bummer, so he is not my fault. I still can't understand why he was reelected. Are we that dumb?

Not KU --- 10 years ago -

Sorry, but it does not compute ...
Let me help...
PBO gets a pass because he works with in the law. Presidential executive orders have been used by almost every president since its inception.

See link: Presidents that have used executive order Its not a new thing.

Not KU --- 10 years ago -

Bummer was not on the ballot.

Eclipse --- 10 years ago -

Bummer was not on the ballot.

The last time I checked, "Bummer" was on the ballot and, FYI, he doesn't work within the law, he works within his own agenda.

RedMulch --- 10 years ago -

oh yes he was..you just are not smart enough to recognize him. so you just punched, blindly, I might add.

Not KU --- 10 years ago -

oh yes he was..
nuh-uh...was not.

RedMulch --- 10 years ago -

Poor Mark. Keep trying to sing. It is good for the soul.

Eclipse --- 10 years ago -

nuh-uh...was not.

Are you serious?

If Obama wasn't on the ballot, than who was?

Not KU --- 10 years ago -

FYI, he doesn't work within the law, he works within his own agenda.

And FYI Yes he works his own agenda. Its why he was elected twice. But as to Executive order. Its well within the law. Love him or hate him, he was a Harvard Law student, assoc prof. He knows his stuff. He had a team of lawyers that know what he can and cant do. To assume he was out of line with out the qualifications of a political lawyer. Makes your claim, lame. Think about it. Not trying to be harsh.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 10 years ago -

Trust me on this one, Mark.

Keep walking.

Sort of.
Bummer was NOT on the ballot. Obama was. mmmm-k

Eclipse --- 10 years ago -

Not trying to be harsh

Nor am I, but I'd still like to know who was on the ballot if it wasn't Obama?

Maybe I missed something ...

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

Bush was elected twice.....I couldn't believe it.
