University of Washington cheerleaders posted this and some people lost their minds. I fail to see what the problem is.

Jealousy?

snowprincess --- 9 years ago -

I don't get it either. Let's face it, cheerleaders are there for one reason only- for men to drool over. They aren't going to want to look at a 250 pound woman.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 9 years ago -

It sounds shallow?? Lol

SleightOfHand --- 9 years ago -

Because the current bunch of college students are the biggest group of whiners in history.

FANCY PANTS --- 9 years ago -

I don't have a problem with it but I think their problem is that she is WHITE

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 9 years ago -

Its a mix of shallow/stupid self objectification of the girls themselves and when people complained that it was racist bc the girl in the pic was white, the University removed it saying it didn't represent their values. Too bad they didnt say that women should be judged on their abilities.....but they chose to bow to the racist paranoia.

What They SHOULD have said is you dont have to look a certain way to try out for cheerleading. But, of course that would be false bc you DO. they want Playboy Bunny types.

But in better news, Miss Bum Bum has spent 4 months toning her butt in search of being the title holder to the Miss BumBum contest:

Baby got BumBum: 2015 contest winner Suzy Cortez

Suzy Cortez takes a back seat to no one.

And now she can prove it as the winner of the 2015 Miss BumBum contest.

The booty-ful Brazilian beat out 14 of her fellow curvaceous countrywomen to earn the crown of having the country's best butt.

Cortez, from the capital city of Brasilia, said that she has been hitting the gym and kept to a strict diet to make sure her rear was in top (or bottom) form for the infamous contest.

"I've been preparing myself for the past four months. I've always wanted to win this contest," she said, according to the Daily Mail. "I dedicated myself completely. I dieted and did rigorous training."

More than 500 women entered the pageant, which is held annually in S?Paulo, and the field was eventually narrowed down to 15 finalists representing each of the Brazilian states and the capital city's federal district.

During the contest, the women parade up and down the runway in glittery bras and thongs, don high heels and adorn their eyes with deep mascara. And while the women may all be made up, they have to prove to that their buns are natural and not cooked up by plastic surgery."

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the poster. Hoping that one day someone will stand up to the Social justice warrior pukes. Those are the last people that should be setting the standards.

FANCY PANTS --- 9 years ago -

They think the girl in the pic should have been a Black/Asian/Hispanic multicultural type. A white girl just won't do. Whites are the minority ya know.

Karras --- 9 years ago -

Not in Washington State. It's like 90% white.

Prolix Raconteur --- 9 years ago -

Not in Washington State. It's like 90% white.

More specifically, white bovine lumberjack types in flannel or self-hating armpit hair SJW with a bunch of metal crap in their face types. They DON'T look like this girl.

Rubicon --- 9 years ago -

This is not racist IMO.

a889324uu --- 9 years ago -

That is what YOU want the problem to be.

Explains your mentality, now.

They think the girl in the pic should have been a Black/Asian/Hispanic multicultural type. A white girl just won't do. Whites are the minority ya know.

Good grief, you are so desperate.

Can't we have a "safe space" for hot white blonde women in the US?

FANCY PANTS --- 9 years ago -

No, They already have too much white privilege.

ukchristine --- 9 years ago -

That gif is awesome.

aragon --- 9 years ago -

That gif is awesome.?

yes!

aragon --- 9 years ago -

As for shallow, if people want to go down that road... well... women are just as shallow if not more so. Just human nature for many, waste of time to get worked up about it.

Karras --- 9 years ago -

No, They already have too much white privilege.

I hope you are kidding.

I get so tired of the race card being played all the time. Do you ever see them complaining when most of a pro basketball team is black? If you're smart, regardless of what position you are filling, you go for the person with the most talent.

aragon --- 9 years ago -

regardless of what position you are filling, you go for the person with the most talent.?

That would be common sense, but often does not apply to the corporate world.

Yes, managers and above often make hiring/firing/promotion decisions based on factors that have nothing to do with talent or getting the job done.

Many times (in my field at least) if you are far more competent and intelligent than your boss, you will suffer for it. If they are the insecure type, start interviewing and taking home personal items because you are screwed.

sheddy --- 9 years ago -

I agree. It is better to leave and work for someone who appreciates what you can do for the company.

aragon --- 9 years ago -

Yep, it's amazing how appreciated and valued you are by some, but not by others. Same person, very different treatment.

I felt so beaten down that my ego was so low I didn't think anyone would want me. (was also kicked in the nuts by personal stuff.)

But after a life changing event, I woke up from my slumber. Started interviewing. Made some other changes.

I recently left my job for another one.

I was shocked how valuable my skillsets, experience and capabilities were valued outside of the hell hole I was working in.

Please don't take this as bragging, but as inspiration for others.

I stayed in that hell hole too long, and left with over a 52% base pay raise (not even considering bonus and stock options). and I didn't fluff my former income (or anything else) either... even gave them a copy of my pay stub.

It's just what the market pays for what I was REALLY doing. Not what my accomplishment stealing boss claimed I did to his leaders.

My title was set to what my title SHOULD have been at my former company.

I managed multiple mission critical projects with teams of 20+ people, but had a crappy low level title.

Now I'm a director and the culture is outstanding.

So, when people say "the grass isn't greener" it's a bunch of crap. It's what beaten down (and maybe complacent) people say. Ignore it.

Let your inner light shine. Someone will appreciate it.

sheddy --- 9 years ago -

I have known many talented people who stayed in a job, because they were scared of the unknown. The ones who finally left their jobs were amazed at the change in their lives. Not just the work part, but their entire outlook on life.

FANCY PANTS --- 9 years ago -

Of course, I'm just kidding.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

Yes, that's right. Those other criteria are called soft skills and are more important.

aragon --- 9 years ago -

They are important. But really, you know damn well that there are many decisions made that have nothing to do with merit or anything that goes beyond a leader's personal agenda.

By that's all in the past. Gone on to a a place that values/demands concrete results instead of game playing.

I'm doing the happy dance. :)

Yes!

I had this anvil crushing me and now that it's lifted, it's like a new lease on life. and I really needed that given other issues.

My issue wasn't fear, so much as it was just being so damn busy and up to my eyeballs in personal dramas (depression). But finally bit the bullet, stopped being a workaholic and spent more time looking.

The grass IS greener.

Some employers are awesome and some do indeed suck. And no, it's not just a matter of what you make of it or anything to do with you at all.

Some really do just plain suck.

aragon --- 9 years ago -

Only downside so far is that I have to spend more money on clothes. I hate shopping.

They are not formal at all, but dressing for the place ... even in the tech environment, is expensive.

Causal clothes (even if it looks sloppy like Zuckerberg's hoodies) can be very costly. 225 for a friggin causal shirt? WTH. But best to dress like peers.

I just dropped more on clothes in one week than I've spent in 10 years combined. OUCH!

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

Then that's a poor leader and will be found out eventually.

mutton --- 9 years ago -

Poster looks like one from 50s lol.
Offensive, no. Stupid, maybe...

aragon --- 9 years ago -

Oh, it's well known. But there are many there like him. and he is protected by his boss who is a "special" friend (followed each other from another company). You can tell how that goes...

Turnover is very high across ALL segments, so it's just not him and his "special friend" boss.

The new CEO knows it (I've talked to him repeatedly about it), but has been spinning his wheels.

He just isn't cut out to change the culture. The guy was a great engineer and product guy, but just not up to the challenge of changing the course of a giant ship (that's heading toward an ice berg). The sharks are eating him alive. They'll probably outlast him.
