Catherine Herridge reported some new developments in the investigation into the Sept. 2012 Benghazi attack, including the release of documents that lead directly to the White House. Among the documents, obtained by Judicial Watch through a FOIA request, is an email from senior White House adviser Ben Rhodes to other top administration officials, including Press Secretary Jay Carney.

Under the subject "prep call with Susan," Rhodes wrote that the goal for Rice's appearances on Sunday talk shows would be "to underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure or policy.?

The message was sent three days after the attacks, which left four Americans dead at a U.S. consulate and nearby CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya.

Days later, Rice would go on numerous Sunday news programs, including on Fox News Sunday, to falsely assert that the Benghazi attack was spontaneous and occurred during a protest over an anti-Islam video. Since that time, the White House has come under fierce criticism from Republicans, who allege that the administration altered the CIA's talking points about how the Benghazi attack unfolded.

new developments in the investigation

Really?

TO DATE: Spending by the House Select Committee

$6,700,000.00

This calculation does not include the costs of: the independent Accountability Review Board; the eight previous reports by seven Congressional committees; the time, money, and resources consumed by federal agencies to comply with Select Committee requests; or the opportunity cost of not spending this money elsewhere, like improving security for our diplomatic officers abroad.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

Maybe if State and te WH had not obfuscated, tried to cover up, lied to the Amercan people and complied with federal disclosure law all these investigations would have been overy before now.

Are we great again yet --- 9 years ago -

Yes sir Bob, Maybe if

September, 2015

In an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News Tuesday, McCarthy, who was on "Hannity" to talk about his campaign to succeed outgoing Speaker John Boehner, praised the committee.

"Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right?" McCarthy said. "But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she's untrustable. But no one would've known any of that had happened had we not fought and made that happen."

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

Why did State, the WH and Susan Rice lie to the American public when the truth was known?

Are we great again yet --- 9 years ago -

They used the Cheney, Bush, Condi doctrine ?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

They used the Cheney, Bush, Condi doctrine ?

What did they lie about?

ukchristine --- 9 years ago -

"Why did State, the WH and Susan Royce lie to the American public when the truth was known? "

When someone can't answer or defend a perfectly reasonable question they resort to changing the subject.

a889324uu --- 9 years ago -

She's going to be indicted any day now...

Any day...

Butterbean --- 9 years ago -

President Hillary. It's gonna happen.

them --- 9 years ago -

Did you ever get around to naming just one thing she's accomplished (besides being Bills wife)?

Somedude --- 9 years ago -

Hillary's accomplishments?
While a senator for 8 years she introduced 3 bills: One was to name a library, one to name a highway and one to establish an historic site. She stands by that record.
She hopes we overlook her failed policies on Libya, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, etc during her 4 years as Obama's Secretary of State.
Going back farther there was her time at Rose Law firm, Bimbo patrol, White House Travel Office Firings.
She was fined too many times to count for various violations. My point is, the list of here transgressions is LONG.

RayofHope --- 9 years ago -

This revelation should not surprise the intelligent.

a889324uu --- 9 years ago -

She played a leading role in developing State Children's Health Insurance Program.
Adoption and Safe Families Act and the Foster Care Independence Act.
She helped create the office of Violence Against Women.
She worked tirelessly for the investigation of health issues among 911 first responders, and secured billions for World Trade Center redevelopment (you conservative, patriotic types should love this!)
She is an activist for women and children around the world.

You can hate her, you can whine about her, but you can't, based on any sort of reality, claim she has has no accomplishments.

Conservative loons trip over themselves to support Cruz, and his major accomplishment is shutting down the government.

This revelation should not surprise the intelligent.?

Yeah, the revelation of Hillary's accomplishments aren't surprising to the intelligent.
You on the other hand...

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

So why the need to lie to the American people?

them --- 9 years ago -

She played a leading role in developing State Children's Health Insurance Program.
Adoption and Safe Families Act and the Foster Care Independence Act.

Let's start with that claim.

Hillary wasn't a legislator at this time.
Hillary didn't write the law.
Hillary made no decisions in CHIP.

So what did she do?

DVaz --- 9 years ago -

So what did she do?

Nothing beneficial to our country or citizens. Bill and her had some opponents killed though.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

The Hillary defense is hi-larious.

She lied.

aragon --- 9 years ago -

If we lived in a nation of laws and equal treatment under the law, she would already be in jail.

Welcome to the United Oligarchy of America.

Vote for ANYONE that would piss off the establishment, be it Trump or Bernie. Different ideologies but the goal is to shake up the complacent uniparty (GOP/DEM).

mutton --- 9 years ago -

Have heard that from elsewhere aragon...kind of interesting thought.

Maybe me on the other site. This is my very first original ID that I signed on here with years ago. I figure I'd just go back to it.

I came here with it, I can leave with it.

No, not was on the boards I heard it from, aragon! Some at work are anti establishment now...

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

Yeah, the revelation of Hillary's accomplishments aren't surprising to the intelligent.

Still waiting on those "revelations".

No, not was on the boards I heard it from, aragon! Some at work are anti establishment now...?

Glad to hear that.

I'm going to catch flack for this, but meh...

Anyone voting for Hillary is an idiot. Sorry, but you are.

If you are voting for her mainly because "it's time for a woman President"... then push for a convention move to bring in Elizabeth Warren. If you get Hillary, you won't see another woman president again for a very very long time.

If you are a liberal, vote Bernie. At least he means what he says and will actually work for the left.

Hillary is a crony of special interests, up to her eyeballs in scandal and corruption, and pretty much everything she touches turns to crap.

As for the GOP side, no great choices left... so go with the lesser of evils. Sadly, that's Trump.

But who knows, maybe he'll be great. I agreed with his recent foreign policy speech completly.

Don't get into wars that don't benefit us or try to bring democracy to those that don't want it.

Make peace with Russia. We have far more in common with them than we do with the Mullahs and others.

Make fair trade a priority. If a country tariffs us or manipulates their currency, penalize them. Stop being pansies with regard to trade. We are the laughing stock of the world because of that.

I go could go on, but that's enough.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

That pretty much goes for every candidate in this one...that's not exactly profound.

I'll still be here, Hood. I'll try not to gloat.

With Sarah Palin chomping at the bit to be Trump's VP, the downward spiral has officially hit the bottom.

They never learn.

Ignorant memes for ignorant folks.?

Which explains why you post them.

DatBoyHooD --- 9 years ago -

Lol trump is not going to pick Palin as VP... Being that Marco hasn't released his delegates I'm thinking it's going to be Rubio or Christie.. Kasich would be nice to capture Ohio but that's not going to happen
