CNN and the New York Times were considered good news organizations until Trump came to office. Imagine what they will look like in a year if Trump (Contrary to all their stories) is not charged with anything?

The leadup to the Comey testimony was pretty spectacular.

The New York Times claimed Comey would deny telling Trump he was not being investigated. They were wrong.

CNN ran exhaustive commentary claiming the Comey testimony would sink Trump. But, Comey verified most of what Trump has been saying.

CNN was smelling blood and had a panel of 9-10 Democrats waiting to pounce on Trump at the end of the Comey testimony. Gutfield used part of the video and put together the sounds of cackling hens in the background. It was too fun. The CNN panel looked like idiots.

A CNN reporter (immediately after the Comey comments) claimed the Comey comment that Trump was not under investigation indicated Trump was under investigation (Strange and irrational).

THE MOST DAMAGING TESTIMONY FOR THE MEDIA: Comey admitted the media do a lot of bad reporter that the FBI is not obligated to correct.

As the consumer, I don't rely on one outlet, use independent fact checking organizations, independent comparative websites and test my biases. There are sites that categorize papers by their lean. If you are Republican, it's not useful to go solely to Fox news or left leaners to spend all the time at CNN. Blind cheerleading and a coliseum like mentality about republicans and democrats isn't helping focus attention on accuracy-

If I want to know which vacuum to buy, I don't purchase based on a sales pitch, I go to Consumer Reports. The news has consumer report like sites out there that are independently run.

Tryingto - Good advice. I do the same thing. I don't trust Hannity alone. I like to jump around and see what everyone is saying.

NPR last week did an objective look at the Comey interview in one segment, which is a little unusual for NPR, which is Hillary's favorite news source.

But, I believe much of the public are like sheep gathered around their banner. They gravitate toward talk that makes them feel good, which is often the worst thing they could do. We need to hear things that challenge our beliefs.

RayofHope --- 130 days ago -

That's why having a panel of 10 Democrats commenting on the Comey testimony (like CNN) is not productive.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 130 days ago -

CNN has been proven more than once lately, that they are fake news.

How funny is this. Most with a brain don't trust Hannity at all.

RayofHope --- 129 days ago -

Most with a brain don't trust Hannity at all.

Can you name a major news person that is trustworthy?

JustWatching --- 129 days ago -

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Not really. They all have some bias.

RayofHope --- 129 days ago -

They all have some bias

It's true that everyone has bias, but reporters in the past (like Walter Cronkite) were able to keep it out of their reporting.

We seem to be losing that. CNN has gone wild. I looked at their headlines last week and seven out of eight were attacking Trump.

The thing yesterday in the news was that the CNN parent company is even sponsoring a Broadway play showing the assassination of Trump. And, last week a CNN employee had her photo taken holding a decapitated Trump head.

I feel CNN should change their name from: Cable News Network to Cable Commentary Network (CCN). They no longer bring us legitimate news.

The foolishness continues.

News of more (pointless and expensive) investigations of Trump.

jackass --- 127 days ago -

All of a sudden 'expensive' is an issue again?

Tryingto --- 126 days ago -

News of more (pointless and expensive) investigations of Trump.

It's estimated that each of Trump's trips to Mar A Lago is 3.6 million. He has spent 46 million dollars on weekend trips. The Starr investigation cost about 70 million and was several years long. So, in 7 months Trump has wasted 46 million dollars on weekend outings aand golf. When the middle belt is trying to get jobs, he's on vacation.

I'm saving up to take the kids to a Waterpark, and that weekend trip will be $500.00 and will kill some of my savings. Spending taxpayer money on unnecessary trips is insulting and completely out of touch with Americans who work but scrape by. Maybe that 46 million could have paid for new training for the jobless. What he feels like he's slumming it in the Whitehouse and needs something more lavish? Again, insulting and out of touch with many Americans. So, if you want to discuss wasted money, well his vacations would have covered more than half of the last investigarion. Way to budget and save.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 126 days ago -

Such cry babies.

JustWatching --- 126 days ago -

So, if you want to discuss wasted money,

Why don't you talk about the billion dollars that HRC spent in a losing campaign? Now that was a waste.

Tryingto --- 126 days ago -

My tax dollars didn't fund her campaign. But my tax dollars are funding Trumps PR and leisure lifestyle to golfing trips. Can you justify the 20 million dollar vacations when you have all the jobless in the middle states?

Tryingto --- 126 days ago -

This is wrong. It is 25 million. He made 7 trips not 13.

Quite frankly, if this was HRC would you be complaining? NO!

If it wasn't tax payer dollars, who cares?

Are we great yet? Prob not.
This admin is a joke. 45 aint going to make 4 years. No way. Trump is the laughing stock

Emperor of Kingwood --- 126 days ago -

You do know about federal campaign matching funds right?

the Markster --- 126 days ago -

bob. really, shutz th fox up

Prolix Raconteur --- 126 days ago -

Guess that answers your question.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 126 days ago -

Why did I think otherwise.

wayward1 --- 126 days ago -

Realized I didn't know much about federal matching funds.

You can only use them up until to take the party's nomination. And it caps how much you can collect. #neverstoplearning.

I wouldn't mind getting rid of them unless you are a third party.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 126 days ago -

Party on, Wayne!!

Tryingto --- 126 days ago -

Taking 20 million dollars for vacations is inappropriate. It isn't a party thing, it's a waste of money thing and an out of touch with Americans thing.

Can you tell me how his vacationing at his businesses has helped the US? I can see how the Trump Organization benefits--- the Americans, not so much.
