That means half have an IQ under that. Just saying..

sdanielmcev --- 29 days ago -

Only .000001% have an IQ higher than mine

TinktheSprite --- 29 days ago -

100 is considered an Average IQ in the US. More than half of the US are below average. That explains a lot to me. sigh School up, People!

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 29 days ago -

It explains a lot to me too.

Logic, spatial awareness, verbal reasoning, and visual abilities are some of the key areas assessed by many IQ tests. They are not intended to measure knowledge in specific subject areas like the SAT and ACT tests focus on.

An IQ test is not something that you can really study for in order to improve your score. Instead, these tests are more interested in looking at your ability to use logic to solve problems, to recognize patterns, and to make rapid connections between different points of information.

Whats at least as important is EQ, emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence (EI), Emotional leadership (EL), Emotional quotient (EQ) and Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EIQ), is the capability of individuals to recognize their own emotions and those of others, discern between different feelings and label them appropriately, use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior, and manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to environments or achieve one's goal(s)

Its much easier to see displays of low EQ.

sdanielmcev --- 29 days ago -

School up, People!
Education has nothing to do with IQ.

sdanielmcev --- 29 days ago -

IQ- Einstein
EQ- orwell

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 28 days ago -

An interesting side point, people with the Uber high IQ’s have much higher occurring mental illness issues AND physical illnesses. Weird.
But common sense is a whole other issue as well.
Then there’s soul issues and spirituality too.

It takes multiple factors to make a good balanced human. Sense of humor? That too!

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 28 days ago -

Interestingly, trips to the ice box seem to have a direct correlation to very low IQ's. AND very definitely, low EQ's.

Actually those are savants.

Education has nothing to do with IQ.

That is not true.
Research has been done that address this issue - the quality of education absolutely plays a pivotal role in IQ.

The 5 countries with the highest IQs are all Asian, and the 5 bottom countries are all African. The disparity between these two groups is significant. Asian countries have greater and more consistent access to quality education, while places like the Congo and Sierra Leone do not.

The United States isn't even in the top 20 of countries with highest IQs, but if you go state by state, 4 of the top 5 states with the highest IQ are all blue, progressive, liberal states (with North Dakota being the red exception.)

Mississippi has the lowest IQ at 94.2 and Texas falls in at 30 with an average IQ of 100.

Google - it's an amazing tool.

sdanielmcev --- 26 days ago -

Wrong again, Soda.
There is a vast difference between education and intelligence. Both ideas involve knowledge; however, they are fundamentally different concepts. Intelligence is an innate and natural ability that we are born with. ... Education is what helps you to develop your natural intelligence in different ways.
Care to show your research, Soda?

Apparently your degree program failed to include a course in statistics and how to use them. Your attempt to correlate IQ and political ideology is as sophomoric as it gets .

Emperor of Kingwood --- 26 days ago -

There is a large body of evidence that SUGGESTS that more education CAN lead to higher IQ scores. Interestingly, its not because the subject learned facts in school, its because the educational process develops the information processing capability of the brain.

sdanielmcev --- 26 days ago -

An hypothesis is not a fact. Education can lead to higher scores, but intelligence is innate, so the actual intelligence is the same, it is just discovered, not changed.

Miss Understanding --- 26 days ago -

Just so you all know I called the number that was posted here by Daniel yesteray on a thread I don't know which one anymore as his handyman phone number. I spoke to him. He has a gruff voice and a tendency to sound redneckish which is good with me as we are in Texas after all and I take no issues with them. Anyway dANIEL THE HANDYMAN DOES NOT POST HERE ON ku!!! I heard this stright from his mouth to my ear. This poster is a FRAUD!

Miss Understanding --- 26 days ago -

Why would the mods delete that information that originally came from one of the mods? QWhy in the world would you protect a fraudulent person? That's what makes you an accessory to the crime. Dumb.

sdanielmcev --- 26 days ago -

Dan the Handyman. Not Daniel

What's funny is that some are so stupid they can't recognize real intelligence when they see/hear it. Probably because she talks way above their ability.

emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize, understand and control emotions – not just our own but the emotions of others, as well? What if I said it can be used to manipulate behavior? That sounds a bit different, doesn’t it? Not such a no-brainer anymore, is it?

This is not some sort of rhetoric slight of hand nor is that definition controversial. It’s common doctrine. But if authors, consultants and executive coaches were to say that Adolf Hitler was as adept at emotional intelligence as Martin Luther King Jr. – as Adam Grant explains in The Atlantic – they would not sell many books or book a lot of gigs.

Over the weekend, I found this Science Vs podcast that discusses the origin of IQ tests, and how they have been misused.

Of interest to many of you might be how the term “moron” came about.

https://www.gimletmedia.com/science-vs/how-science-made-morons#episode-player

There is also some discussion about how access to quality schooling can affect IQ scores. In other words, IQ scores can improve over time for individuals.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 21 days ago -

IQ can mean a lot or it can mean nothing. What matters is what kind of human being you are. Even people in " lowly" positions like Walmart for instance, can have a powerful important impact on people and do great things.

The greeter at the Atascocita Walmart has a heart of gold. His smile lights up a room and his words will make your day better just by encountering him. While the CEO of Facebook who is obviously bright and educated and very rich, may be taking society down a hole with his decisions with his social media empire.

Who's more "important?"

Human beings who are resourceful with few tools or advantages and who seek to help, encourage and assist others are the cream of the crop. They are someone NOT focused on self but on following Gods precepts and in turn, they are content, happy people with a little or a lot, they are happy. If you look at Hollywood, politics or the super wealthy, they usually aren't, yet they are frequently the bright and educated.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 20 days ago -

but on following Gods precepts

Why? God listening and answering prayer just doesn't happen.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 20 days ago -

Yes it does Emp. If somehow you didn't receive something you prayed for, there are reasons for that. For example, did you know the Bible says "what so ever you ask according to MY WILL, you know that I hear you and you know you'll receive what you've asked for."

There are other things involved as well.. faith works by a spiritual LAW. It's not random, works sometimes and sometimes not.

We have all prayed and didn't get something. It's not bc God is messing with you. Don't get bitter, that
will harm your faith.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 20 days ago -

Well his will must be the destruction of people.

KwMillennial --- 20 days ago -

Are you referring to the cycle of life?

Is that what you are calling the destruction of people?

Should we all just live forever? Whether we do or not, what does that have to do with God as Creator?

Miss Understanding --- 20 days ago -

are you sure it is LAW and not law? You are spouting your opinion or now do you think you are an authority on GOD like everything else? good grief give us a break!

BTW I get EVERYTHING I pray/ask for. YOu must be naughty if you do not.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 20 days ago -

Are you referring to the cycle of life?

No

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 20 days ago -

No you’re a racist troll Miss U. And yep I know a lot more than you. Heck, you don’t know half the stuff you say is racist, or do you??? Should I post all those comments MR U??

7 Promises of God

1 Maybe true
2. That didn't apply to me
3. I can get there
4. Thats either not true or the answer is always no.
5. I'm not so sure of that
6. Again, that didn't apply to me
7. Can't argue with that.
