SYDNEY (AP) — The gunman behind at least one of the mosque shootings in New Zealand that left 49 people dead on Friday tried to make a few things clear in the manifesto he left behind: He is a 28-year-old Australian white nationalist who hates immigrants. He was set off by attacks in Europe that were perpetrated by Muslims. He wanted revenge, and he wanted to create fear.

He also, quite clearly, wanted attention.

Though he claimed not to covet fame, the gunman — whose name was not immediately released by police — left behind a 74-page document posted on social media under the name Brenton Tarrant in which he said he hoped to survive the attack to better spread his ideas in the media.

He also livestreamed to the world in graphic detail his assault on the worshippers at Christchurch's Al Noor Mosque.

That rampage killed at least 41 people, while an attack on a second mosque in the city not long after killed several more. Police did not say whether the same person was responsible for both shootings.

I read the shooter used guns to stir up America’s debate over gun rights versus safety in hopes of dividing the country.

So if anyone uses this to blame someone else or some other policy, they are doing exactly what the shooter wanted them to do.

I’m guessing it is much harder to politicize when the wrong skin color is the shooter and the wrong religion is the victim or the shooter.

He said if he identified with any doctrine or entity at all it was China due to their intense desire to not allow mixing of races and perpetuate a pure society. He pointed out that he felt Japan, South Korea and China were racially superior due to the purity of their race for not having allowed foreign "invaders" into their country.

That manifesto was half personal doctrine and half trolling random people. His only reference to Trump was that he felt he galvanized his base and that he didn't support his political positions or policies.

He also said conservatives were "corporatists" and he hated them. He considered himself an ethno-anarchist.

I read all 78 pages of the manifesto before it was being scrubbed from the internet. Trump is mentioned in the manifesto. So is Candace Owens, of all people, a black woman, as inspiration for a white supremacist. The trolling was obviously above your pay grade.

Funny how the press doesn't even mention the 140 Christians killed in Nigeria last month by Islamic insurgents, or the 150 homes that were torched in the process. Christians living in Muslim dominant countries are 150 more likely to be killed than Muslims living in Christian dominant countries. 19,000 people were killed in Islamic terror attacks worldwide in 2017 (*that were documented, actual number is much higher due to unaccounted atrocities in Iraq/Syria) and white nationalists are the problem?
