JAMS --- 12 years ago -

Before moving here, I was an LRC (learning resource center) coordinator. Basically, I sat at a desk and watched Marines take courses. Excellent pay and hours, but boring!!

Now I am a purchaser for a major retailer.
My husband is a field tech in the gas/oil industry.

What field do you work in?

RedMulch --- 12 years ago -

My husband is a field tech in the gas/oil industry.

I'm a demand specialist in the O&G industry.

TexasOma --- 12 years ago -

I'm a RN, been so for over 20 years. Before that I was 'just a mommy' & worked selling real estate on the side. And before that I was a secretary/girl Friday (now known as administrative assistant). Annnnnd before that I was an information operator with SW Bell, and before that I was an elevator operator and before that I was a kid who mowed yards & cleaned shelves in 'old people's houses'....now I'm the old person who needs help. But I've been working in some form or another since I was 13.

I get bored if I don't work at something. I've also sewed clothes for money, performed at birthday & company parties as a clown, driven people who had no transportation & no telling what else is in my repertoire of life events. It's been fun & I wouldn't trade my life for anything.

JAMS --- 12 years ago -

That's great Texas. I started working at 14. As an adult, I've been in the Navy as a Radioman/IT, correctional officer, 911 dispatcher, sales rep for DirecTV, barn manager, riding club Vice President at a military base.

My mom and dad were both installers for SW Bell in the 70s. My dad retired from there in the late 80s.

Ashley87 --- 12 years ago -

I am an RN too .. but only for a few years and am now taking time off to be a Mommy :) Then I am going back to work and school to finish a few more classes to become a Physician's Assistant. ..and my Husband is a Firefighter/Paramedic/EMT for HFD :)

I'm a "kept woman"...aka housewife. I currently am the CFO and CEO of our household, I schedule workers, manage remodeling projects (there have been lots these past few years) and just generally run things. Previously I built semi-custom homes for 15 years, and before that was the Customer Relations Director for two major car dealerships in the area.

I like my job much better today.

Admin Asst in the O&G industry, 20+ years now. Various Admin positions - Exe, Sales, Marketing, IT, plus archiving well data. O&G has been a rocky road for me - laid off 3X in my career. Had a couple of gigs in between that were not O&G, but I keep coming back into the O&G world! Good ole boys! I still enjoy being a part of it.

My 2nd gig is CEO of the house! The hubbs is the CFO. The dogs are our employees. :)
