Secretary of State Rex Tillerson referred to President Trump as a ?moron? after a July 20 meeting at the Pentagon ? and was on the verge of resigning amid clashes with the administration, according to a report on Wednesday.
This kind of thing never happened under an Obama admin. Can we be done with electing egotistical, narcissistic, amateur politicians now?
Whats it going to take? before Trump supporters on KU call it quits
Aside from being a beautiful place, Puerto Rico is a banana republic, both politically and in infrastructure. They're bankrupt due to their feel good socialist policies putting them $120 billion in debt, almost half of which is pension obligations (on an island with a few million people), not to mention abject corruption on every level.
At least being a US commonwealth theoretically precludes the Clinton Foundation from stepping in ala Haiti. They'd really be screwed then.
How anyone can defend Trump, is beyond me. No matter what the man does, his supporters will justify/defend it.
He's gone through how many cabinet members? He's incited a crazy dictator via twitter, he allows his own citizens to suffer for weeks before he shows up and prior to that, he ridicules them on twitter. He calls the Russian probe "fake news" and a "witch hunt" when literally everyone else in DC knows it's true. He throws his own people under the bus left and right, he bullies people. He's constantly on weekend vacations costing the tax payers millions, while lining his own pockets. And the list goes on and on...
If you can find redeemable qualities in a person like that, you have no moral compass.
NBC says 3 officials that would have knowledge about what was said at a meeting at the pentagon say Tillerson called Trump a moron
That is a news story - if they have multiple sources that collaborate that - it is news. And it should be reported when 3 credible wittiness say the Secretary of State called the POTUS a moron.
Do the witnesses have to come forward - identify themselves and confirm this - the answer is NO - and the why is we as a people want people to confidentially tell the press stuff - so we as a people get to know it.
NBC has not retracted this story from what I can tell - so they must be standing by it
This is good journalism - and we as a nation should want it - it is how we stay informed.
What is bad journalism is every story that says in a press conference Mr. Tillerson denied saying that he called Trump a moron -
The transcript of the press conf is attached - no where in there does he deny it. Nowhere. Reporting that it was denied is bad journalism.
It is important that we keep some level of confidence in the serious press - it is an important part of the checks and balances that keep this nation free and great.
If a serious news story can be discounted this erroneously and easily by the government and so many believe it - that is dangerous.
