No parades until every veteran has a home, and physical and mental health coverage.

The 5 time draft dodging "Cadet Bone spur" thinks it would be cool to have a parade. How much would it cost the American people to repair the streets of DC after the tanks chew it up? I hope the veterans of KU find it fitting to engage Congressman Ted Poe and Senator John Cornyn to put monies to helping veterans and to abstain from his self grandstanding need to have a parade.

I truly hope the special counsel finds grounds to impeach Trump, and imprison his kids too.

Where are all the fiscal conservatives when republicans are ok with frivolous spending?

Where are the deficit hawks when we just borrowed 1 trillion dollars and gave permanent tax breaks for the top percent?

Joe Blow --- 161 days ago -

Looking at history, the pubies were never fiscally conservative and that is a fact. Yeah they always said they were but the historical facts don't agree with their ASSessment.

5 time draft dodging

Do you have the same animosity towards Clinton's antics to avoid the draft?

jackass --- 161 days ago -

Dragging the conversation back 26 years doesn?t change anything about Trump. Deflect away though.

Personally I think being a Rhodes scholar trumps bone spurs...but avoiding VD was Trump?s viet nam...lol

Saturn --- 161 days ago -

That wasn't a deflection, it was apples to apples.

Incidentally, that goes back almost 50 years ago, not 26.

Even though Clinton was classified as 1A, he did everything he could to avoid the draft.

Was Oh ha ha in the military?

Saturn --- 161 days ago -

Was Oh ha ha in the military

Who is "Oh ha ha"?

jackass --- 161 days ago -

Was Oh ha ha in the military?

Nope and he never tried to throw himself a military style parade either...

the Markster --- 161 days ago -

Do you have the same animosity towards Clinton's

No..The Clinton's never demanded a parade nor did either claim "bone spurs" as a reason to not go to Vtnm. Finally neither of the Clinton's are the sitting president calling for a gov shut down. But B. Clinton was impeached for lying to the FBI. I find it odd that Saturn's hypocrisy doesn't make her blow chunks.

Saturn, do you still support your choice of Trump? Even tho you've been lied to by a carnival barker Trump? There is a word for that....Suckered

Saturn --- 161 days ago -

Mark, I never said, or implied, that I supported Trump.

But how are Clinton's efforts to avoid the draft different from those of Trump's?

esquala --- 161 days ago -

Uh......Mark?

Earth to Mark.

the Markster --- 161 days ago -

But how are Clinton's efforts to avoid the draft different from those of Trump's?

It was explained clearly.

Mark, I never said, or implied, that I supported Trump.
You aren't denying or implying lack of support for Trump either.

Here's some very interesting reading about Bill Clinton and his draft evading. SMH: snopes on Bill Clinton and how he evaded the military

Just some facts for those who care.

the Markster --- 161 days ago -

Just some facts for those who care.

Since neither Clinton is president, I find that bringing them up is irrelevant. But the dog chewing his leg is killin me

Saturn --- 161 days ago -

But how are Clinton's efforts to avoid the draft different from those of Trump's? It was explained clearly.

I guess I missed that, Mark.

How was it explained?

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 161 days ago -

This is unbelievable:

* Bill Clinton reclassified 1-A on October 30, 1969, as enlistment with Army Reserves is revoked by Colonel E. Holmes and Clinton now AWOL and subject to arrest under Public Law 90-40 (2)(a) ?registrant who has failed to report ? remain liable for induction?.

* Bill Clinton?s birth date lottery number is 311, drawn December 1, 1969, but anyone who has already been ordered to report for induction, is INELIGIBLE!

* Bill Clinton runs for Congress (1974), while a fugitive from justice under Public Law 90-40.

* Bill Clinton runs for Arkansas Attorney General (1976), while a fugitive from justice.

* Bill Clinton receives pardon on January 21, 1977 from Carter.

Sweet deal.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 161 days ago -

And this:

"
In mid-1968 Clinton, who maintained that although he was not opposed to the military or war in general he was morally opposed to the Vietnam War in particular, began to seek ways of avoiding the draft. His first opportunity was provided through the political and social connections of Raymond Clinton, his uncle, and Henry Britt, a Hot Springs lawyer and former judge, who made arrangements with the commanding officer of the local Naval Reserve unit, Trice Ellis, to secure a billet for Clinton in the naval reserve:

The first relief Raymond Clinton and Britt found for Bill was a naval billet. This would not only give him more time ? he would not have to fill it until after the school year ended in June ? but it also would more likely keep him out of harm?s way in the war. Trice Ellis, the local naval commander, said he was only too happy to accommodate the request, which he did not consider out of the ordinary, and was ?impressed by the chance to enlist someone with a college education.? He called the Navy command in New Orleans and secured a two-year active duty billet for young Clinton. Ellis assumed that Clinton would stop by that summer for an interview, but Clinton never did. When he asked Raymond Clinton what happened, Raymond told him not to worry, Bill would not be coming, he had been taken care of in another way.

The ?other way? that had ?taken care? of Clinton was a favor Henry Britt worked out with William S. Armstrong, chairman of the Garland County draft board, a favor that would provide Clinton with only temporary protection from the draft but would allow him to at least start his first year at Oxford without committing him to military service"

Clinton was, and is, a draft dodger just like Trump then, eh? Not some protected "special" draft dodger.

Facts.

Saturn --- 161 days ago -

Clinton wrote the book on how to dodge the draft.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 161 days ago -

Some day people will learn these political powerful men are all very much alike...

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 161 days ago -

"Since neither Clinton is President I find that bringing them up is irrelevant."

LOL. You know he was one of our Presidents right? He held the office. He's a draft dodger. Just like Trump whom you hate. Makes zero sense to distinguish or excuse what you supposedly hate.

Saturn --- 161 days ago -

Since neither Clinton is president, I find that bringing them up is irrelevant

How is that irrelevant?

Clinton did what he could to avoid the draft, as did Trump.

jackass --- 161 days ago -

Deflection has become the norm. No one wants to think that they spent 8 yrs criticizing someone only to have to defend what they used to criticize...it would mean admitting you?re a hypocrite. And no one wants to do that...

Saturn --- 161 days ago -

^^^^

That was about as clear as mud.

jackass --- 161 days ago -

It means you?re probably a hypocrite but you don?t think you are...Did I dumb it down enough?

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 161 days ago -

"

Personally I think being a Rhodes scholar trumps bone spurs...but avoiding VD was Trump?s viet nam...lol

Unfortunately personal opinions don't trump facts. If two men who were President both evaded military service, they're the SAME. The same. They both are guilty of exactly the same thing. One isn't better than the other when they're both draft dodgers.

Smh

jackass --- 161 days ago -

Remember when it was really important to republicans that the president be a military man?

Saturn --- 161 days ago -

Hypocrite, no.

But maybe you could dumb it down some more so I can have a better understanding of the gibberish you wrote.

jackass --- 161 days ago -

Not my problem that you can?t comprehend English...or at least that you pretend not to.

Saturn --- 161 days ago -

Remember when it was really important to republicans that the president be a military man

If that were true, how did Eisenhower and Kennedy get elected?

What's that got to do with it? I thought this thread was about the " military being thrilled Trump was a 5 time draft dodger?" And I wonder where Mark went??

jackass --- 161 days ago -

Yeah...moving on.

I speak and comprehend English just fine, so why the snarky remark?
