Boston Newspaper Article on FISA Misconducthttp://www.bostonherald.com/opinion/op_ed/2018/07/fisa_documents_reveal_fbi_collusionFISA Abuse

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

The potential for abuse of the FISA courts has grown exponentially since 9/11. I don't begrudge the governments need for these courts to exist but I think now we are seeing that the actual and potential abuse may outweigh the original purpose. It seems we can no longer count on judges doing diligence to protect the rights of the American citizen. This further erodes the entire trust in the judicial system which is bedrock to their existence. Congressional oversight is required here.

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

Congressional oversight is required here.

Not going to happen. Know why? bc we keep voting in republicans. Republicans dont care about the regular person. Only large corporations. Especially the ones that make large donations. So.
Why do regular people vote republican?

Prolix Raconteur --- 6 years ago -

You do understand that a republican congressional committee is, in fact, demanding production of evidence from the DOJ and FBI on this very issue, right Mark? And that the DOJ and FBI are stonewalling the release of said evidence as it most likely implicates their legal overreach.

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

Really? All I hear is they want to know what the special counsel has on trump.

T minus 95 days till the 1st Tues in Nov 2018. Somehow I see this issue going away. lol :]

txwareagle --- 6 years ago -

I mean, you do know that "Large Corporations" employ "Large Amounts of people".

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

^^^ If that isnt a box of rocks response, IDK what is. The implication that corporations, "because they employ large amounts of people", somehow puts corporations on a more deserving level of gov. benefits than do the voting public, is soooo absurd. It wins the single most ridiculous comment of the day. Congratulations on that.

July jobs reports adds another 157,000 to the work force, including 37,000 new mfg jobs. The number of working Americans now stands at 156,000,000, which breaks all records. Record low Hispanic, black and women unemployment rate. Corporations are dumping record amounts of returns into infrastructure in this business friendly environment, creating even more jobs. How is this bad?

Jobs that pay a living wage? Not exactly.

I think the topic is NSA surveillance.

Obviously...

Free advice. Read, Think, Respond, and wait to press "Add Comment".

The point is, the corporations are staffed by the voting public. HEB is not just Scott from the commercials. Its the people who work in the stores, and stock the shelves, and drive the trucks. It is the super cool former ND Football player that gives me samples of wine.

Sure Scott has a nicer house than the lady giving me a sample of sushi as I walk in the door, but he kind of earned it.

To suggest that those people are foolish for voting with a party that wants their business to succeed, is just foolish.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 6 years ago -

How do you know this?

Oh wait............ nevermind.

Once again, you are tragically ill-informed

Amazing. Corporations ARE people.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

Just what is a "living wage"? Let me help you with that. The wage you earn is directly proportionate to your investment in education, training and self sacrifice.

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

No thanks. The term, "Living wage" is a self explanatory term. A term that may or may not imply fiscal responsibility. A term usually not used by employers that are creating "all this job growth" republican parrots like to echo.

RayofHope --- 6 years ago -

I think now we are seeing that the actual and potential abuse may outweigh the original purpose.

That is something I have been asking myself. We all want to be safe, but are we willing to let the FBI spy on anyone?

RayofHope --- 6 years ago -

Republicans dont care about the regular person. Only large corporations.

This really should not be a partisan issue. Next time it could be Democrats being spied on.

RayofHope --- 6 years ago -

And that the DOJ and FBI are stonewalling the release of said evidence as it most likely implicates their legal overreach.?

I've been following that. We need to see what was in the original document.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

The term, "Living wage" is a self explanatory term.

But yet you cant provide a definition.

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

Its only a partisan issue bc of the party that initiated the program. Its a partisan issue bc of the party that continues to support this type of governance. What party is that? Republicans.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Ive said it before. Your lack of comprehension isnt my problem. The term is self explanatory

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

But yet you cant provide a definition.

But it isn't self explanatory. It depends on who you ask, and I asked you.
Its like the definition of a "real" relationship.

sdanielmcev --- 6 years ago -

Ted Kennedy must be happy.

OrdinaryGuy --- 6 years ago -

Jobs that pay a living wage? Not exactly.

Where is your source for this?

OrdinaryGuy --- 6 years ago -

Ive said it before. Your lack of comprehension isnt my problem. The term is self explanatory?

Only because you can't define it.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 6 years ago -

When people don't work, they have no insight in to a "living wage".

SoupIsGoodFood --- 6 years ago -

LOL @ Wayne.......... his ignorance never disappoints.

OrdinaryGuy --- 6 years ago -

His ignorance is really astounding!

roer de pot --- 6 years ago -

But yet you cant provide a definition.

Despite you repeating yourself about not researching for free, you sure do seem to expect the same of others.

But here - let me help you.

A living wage is the minimum, basic income necessary for someone to have all of their needs met - housing, clothing, food, etc.
This is not to be confused with subsistence, which is the basic our bodies need to function biologically.

A living wage is not the same as minimum wage, either.

OrdinaryGuy --- 6 years ago -

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
You used big words in your definition. He might not be able to understand them.

TRICKLE DOWN

It's not that we don't care about the "regular guy" it's about not giving 'hand outs' to people who are just plain lazy.

Jekyll and Hyde --- 6 years ago -

Damn. I actually took the time to read all of *The Markster's* comments and I feel dumber for it. Dude, I really think your thought process is skewed.

I really think you have a distorted way of looking at things and your comments are inaccurate.

Plus, when asked a question from someone regarding a statement that you yourself made you should answer in an intelligent way without deflecting. Just saying....

Gotcha. Obviously it is not worth getting my panties in a bunch over. But I do have a tendency to call people on their bull & expect others to do the same to me from time to time. If you dish it out you have to be willing to take it also. Just by reading and making my own observations, I can already see the type of person who is behind the KU screen name from the comments one makes.

I guess I am a little surprised at the lack of people on this site. I never knew about it until a KU user I met suggested that I check this site out. It is rare to find sites like this anymore what with all the other social media outlets but I don't do Facebook and the like.

So allow me to apologize in advance if I piss someone off by offending them with my own comments. I enjoy a good debate or light banter with others. So welcome to me!

Howdy! Few on here actually debate. Rational discussion is not the rationale for most coming on here.
Most sites like this get infected by the weak-minded, the bored and the internet bullies. That pushes away regular Joes and Joans who might want to discuss non-political event.
I'm not saying this site should become milquetoast like the other Kingwood site, but there seems to be no balance on either site.

Stay on for a few days and you will understand why so few people are on here.
