The procedure is complete. They inserted a drain on the good side of her brain to drain fluid and release pressure. A central line was inserted and a new swelling med started. They are also cooling her and dropping her body temperature rapidly because that helps swelling also, I don't know that I will be able to sleep so I'll be saying rosaries.

I don't think I'll be sleeping so I'll be praying and online. Going on fumes and 5 hours of sleep since Sunday. Just can't make my mind stop or get the images out. 

Even if you can't sleep, try to just close your eyes and let your body relax some so you don't get sick. 

Please hon keep in mind you having no sleep will do her no good. If you are allowed can you stay in the room with her and catnap? I know its hard... I slept on the side of the bed a few times in that hospital. 

Allycat, I know you are exhausted and worried. Try to think positive thoughts. When you visit your sister, touch her arm or face and talk to her. Tell her she is getting well. Talk to her about the future and tell her you need her to get better. Even though she can't respond, she may hear you. I am praying for healing.

They laughed at me today because I talk constantly and pester the heck out of her per nurses orders. Sometimes they tell us to talk quietly to not stimulate her and other times we are told to be loud and anñoying. I hope I piss her off and when she wakes up she wants to punch me :). I am the annoying little sister! We just truly want a sliver of hope and good news soon! 

Ally, did the doc say what they're waiting to happen before you can relax a little? She came thru the surgery, and they've taken precautions to keep down the swelling..what's next? 

I actually decided to come home tonight because I had not seen my babies since Saturday and DH goes back to work tomorrow. We stayed in a hotel down there the last two nights. Her husband is there at night with her, he wont leave. The next 48 hours are critical so now it's wait and see again. 

Yes.... Is there a specific goal that we can concentrate prayer on? 

Right now for swelling to go down and pressure to be relieved so that she can wake up and show some response. Thank you! 

As long as they say it's okay, keep talking to her. As said earlier^she probably won't respond, but she hears you, or at least her subconscious mind hears you. That can be very good for her! I am keeping her, you and all your family in my prayers. Keep the faith!!! 

Ally, is she Catholic? Even tho I am not, my best friends are and I have the rosary and prayers. I will call my best friend tomorrow and ask her to pray for her. If I were in T's situation, I would want her praying for me. If there is anything we can do, please do not hesitate to ask. I could keep your little ones for you and could give you references that would tell you I am safer than safe. Some of us have thought about helping you with other things. Just reach out and tell us what you need.

Yes we are Catholic. Add her to any church prayer lists that you can. I have a friend who works at KSBJ and she announced it on the air tonight. I may need help with childcare before this journey is over. My inlaws just retired here but live in Cypress and they have been helping. My FIL was just in the hospital and about to see a specialist to check for cancer so I'm trying not to ask them too many days in a row. Just prayers for now!

next question... Ally are you eating? Please make sure you do, even if its just peanut butter and crackers. You have to keep your strength and health. If you get sick they wont allw you in there. Please stay sweet and know we are pulling for you guys.
