My daughter Desiree Smith is missing. She was last seen on 4/7/2015 at 11:30 am. We believe she may have tried to walk from Kingwood to Atascocita and may have even excepted a ride from a stranger. If anyone has any information or sees her please contact me or her dad. Paula 936-524-2975 Shayne 832-640-8367. The police have been of little help. They gave me a case number and a flyer which they will post in all the area police and fire stations but that is all. No investigation, nothing. So if anyone wants to help pass flyers let me know. 

Posting a picture may help. 

How old is she, what is her physical description, what was she wearing?

What is the contact number if we have info?

I guess I don't know how to post photos to here. she is 5'2", weighs 125 lbs, her hair is shaved on one side and is red, the bangs are long and brown, eyes are green. No distinguishing marks or tattoos. I have her photo on my Facebook page. Because she is 18 the police won't even look for her. 

Change your profile pic to the flier... It's the easiest way to post pics without posting pics.

Did I miss something? Is there a reason to think that she left home due to things not going well? That would be the best case scenario actually and if true, I hope things will be worked out.

The thought that a stranger picked her up would terrify me. I would be investigating every record to see if there were signs that she left of her own volition.

I think he only meant through the eyes of the law, she's only a missing person- at least that's how I took it- 

She took none of her belongings except her purse. We did not fight. She was supposed to go to GED orientation at 1 and then work. My son said when he left the house, he was the last to see her, she was watching cartoons. She never made it to either. I don't know if she tried to walk when her ride fell through and ended up getting in a car with a stranger or what. If she left on her own she could have at least told us something. Instead we have nothing 

That's awful- does she have a boyfriend? He might know something- 

No awesome but I took a flyer into subway this afternoon where she worked and one of the employees told me she said she had met someone 

Baby, I'm so terribly sorry. I can't imagine what you are going through right now. I'm praying for her and your whole family. Are you on Facebook? I think we would all be willing to share this info to our page and to any community pages we know of.

I'm reluctant to venture into this one, but I went through a similar ordeal with my daughter when she was a teenager and hanging with the "wrong" crowd. She left and stayed away for several days where different friends would put her up for the night. Didn't answer her phone etc when we called repeatedly. Cops were of no help to speak of.

The only way I was able to at least keep tabs on her was through some of her friends who were sympathetic to our plight and at least assured us she was OK and they had talked to her. It will literally make you sick with worry.

She's great now with a good life and we have a good relationship, so things do end up well.

The best chance you have to make contact or get info will be through her friends.

So sorry. Does she have a phone? You could check to see if it has been used. Do you know her passwords so you could check her computer? I would bet she has a friend or two that knows who the mystery person she may have met is. I would be leaning heavy on them right now to tell you whatever they know.

I will pray that you get good news. If she would just let you know she is alright, everything else can be worked out later.

That's an important clue. Kids rarely forget their phones unless they don't want to be in contact.

Does she have a bank account or credit card account? 

Were you guys fighting when she left? Do you know if she is on any other social media or dating sites as POF, Match, Tinder etc? 

Is this a current picture? Her hair doesn't look that red. I saw a girl walking down WLH Pkwy yesterday with really bright red hair. She was probably a little bigger than described here tho. 

prayers for her safety. At this point, it would be hard not to be worried. I know kids think we worry too much but they really have no clue about safety or not trusting others. Surely, someone saw her get in a car or something. Plaster her picture everywhere!
