Assuming this journalist is Canadian since the AR 15 recoil bruised him. (This will make sense if you've ever shot one).

NY Daily News Reporter Literally Claims He Got PTSD After Firing AR-15

In the aftermath of the Orlando terrorist attack, a Daily News reporter went to go see what an AR-15 is capable of doing, even though it was not the weapon used in the attacks.

It became abundantly clear that the Daily News reporter, Gersh Kuntzman, had it out for the AR-15 and went to a gun shop to demonize the weapon that many Americans love to safely use.

He called the weapon, ?horrifying, menacing, and very very loud,? after firing the weapon in a safe setting at targets.

?It feels like a bazooka ? and sounds like a cannon,? Kuntzman said. Kuntzman said that in the past he has shot a handgun before but never something like an AR-15. It is highly unlikely that Kuntzman has ever fired a Bazooka then. An AR-15 is nothing like a bazooka or a cannon. A cannon is much louder and a bazooka is fired over the shoulder.

?The recoil bruised my shoulder. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions ? loud like a bomb ? gave me a temporary case of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable,? Kuntzman said.

He makes it seem as if firing an AR-15 in a safe setting is similar to fighting in a brutal war and fighting with PTSD. PTSD is serious and should not be compared to shooting a weapon in a safe setting. Firing an AR-15 is something many Americans enjoy doing and they do not have any of these problems.

I shot one once. Once. Got bruised and thought my shoulder was put out. It wasn't. It did stink. I was leery of the the hot shells. I don't have any desire to shoot one again. But I don't have PTSD. Wimp. Sheesh.

LOL!

"I shot one once. Once. Got bruised and thought my shoulder was put out."

Are you sure it wasn't a shotgun? AR15's don't have much recoil

Holling Vincoeur --- 9 years ago -

Pansy...

mutton --- 9 years ago -

I once shot over 100 rounds at range for first time. Was just a revolver, no biggie. Me palm was swollen for next few days, such a newbie!

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

Did he have to run to his safe space after this?

Porter Wagoner (Mod) --- 9 years ago -

No, he went to Target to use the women's restroom.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

He must have been a Canadian wussy.

FANCY PANTS --- 9 years ago -

What a wimp! Wonder if he has ever even held a bazooka.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 9 years ago -

what recoil? I didn't notice any!

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 9 years ago -

double post-sorry

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 9 years ago -

I think the term "PTSD" is used rather loosely nowadays....use to refer mainly to vets with very high stress, life threatening battle experience.

LOL

Daily News reporter, Gersh Kuntzman

This Canadian reporter should be required to drop "man" from his surname.

Miss Understanding --- 9 years ago -

Me palm was swollen

wayward1 --- 9 years ago -

This Canadian reporter should be required to drop "man" from his surname.?

Yep, I called him a Kuntz after reading just the first paragraph.

sheddy --- 9 years ago -

I saw this on Facebook. You are all being too kind. I was rolling reading the choice words they had for this guy!

Prolix Raconteur --- 9 years ago -

Says the KU poster child for illiteracy.

Defcon1 --- 9 years ago -

The best response is the guy who fired his AR with the butt stock against the tip of his nose to prove that an AR has no recoil.

mutton --- 9 years ago -

Sorry I didn't mean to be rude. I realize English is not your native language, and there's nothing wrong with that.

mutton --- 9 years ago -

Just amusing to me how was/is such a point for you and perhaps another to ponder...makes no matter to me, but what exactly was the reasoning? Has been more than once so I gather you had one?

mutton --- 9 years ago -

And yes, you were rude and I figure meant to be so. Not sure it matters to me or not, still here and not going anywheres.

mutton --- 9 years ago -

mutton --- 9 years ago -

idontplaynice --- 9 years ago -

Now that you have have shown your true colors I bow out...carry on.

Butterbean --- 9 years ago -

Sorry I didn't mean to be rude.

Yes, you did. And were. And are. And probably will continue to be.

idontplaynice --- 9 years ago -

Maybe, but why is mutton's country of origin such a secret?

them --- 9 years ago -

Nobody knows nothin' about that mutton!

Slider152 --- 9 years ago -

Man shoots AR-15 off the tip of his nose to show how little recoil there is.

AR-15 Recoil Rebuttal

The state of both reporting and liberal men in this country is simply and utterly appalling.

Karras --- 9 years ago -

Kuntzman must be Pajama boy's father.

What would these girly-men do if they actually had to defend themselves or others? Probably wet their pants.

Wolfram --- 9 years ago -

This reporter is literally a bigger wimp than a 7 year old GIRL
