She's pushing 80, is confused all the time and has her face wrapped half way around her head from plastic surgery. She's an embarrassment. Still shocked she held onto the position of house minority leader after the DNC meltdown.
I imagine in her mind he can do nothing right. While I didn't agree with former Pres Obama, I don't hate him like she hates the President. I feel sorry for her
I do not understand how he doesn't rise the cackles of everyone. He cannot tell the truth even about obvious and inconsequential things-like crowd size. That is stomach churning--predators do that to erode humans common need for relationships and destabilize others. It is the tactic of abusers, sociopaths, and psychopaths to gain and keep power. People tell the truth to create intimacy and establish bonds. Liars lie to control, manipulate, and conquer.
It is indicative of a true inability to relate to others, lead on behalf of others, or to follow basic tenants of the civilized world, like following the law and accepting consequences.
It is not a leadership style that has the potential to improve the world.
Can you think of any great leader that had such a clear break from reality?
Maybe it's the opposite. You've been led around the nose for so long by politicians lying to you and giving you a false sense of reality.
So, prior politicians have hampered my ability to see reality? I can analyze several pictures and tell the crowd was not bigger. No interpreter needed. I can listen to multiple news outlets and determine he changes his answers like the wind blows, even when he doesn't need to. I'm not watching one station. No interpreter needed. He has lied in and out politics. Trump University. Bankruptcy. Unpaid contractors. He lies in business and in governance. I can look at admirable leaders, including Jesus and tell that humility not arrogance, was the cornerstone of their success. I can read about what it means to be a demagogue, and how that leadership style worked in history. I am not a lazy consumer of information. I am not an on the line party voter. I I have no allegiance to either side in this debate or in politics. I have voted for Republican and Democratic presidents.
The whole problem is we don't ever have the whole story. A prime example would be the Patriots football team picture at the white house. Maybe if we knew the whole picture and was aware of everything the President is being told we might understand why he says what he says. That will never happen. So we form opinions based on half the story.
^^^^^^^^^^^^ I can't answer that question because I'm not sure we have ever gotten the "whole" story. The press is so biased I don't believe anything I hear from them anymore. Rather than just report the news they have so much bias against the Pres that they are making the news. Everybody know the Russians have been fooling with our elections for years just as we fool with theirs. Yet the press acts as if it's a new thing. I'll bet Putin is having a hardy laugh at our expense.
I think Comey made it clear this really was about a breach of security and a true threat. That is a universal non-partisan issue.
He also highlighted that the press is getting it wrong on big stories. The public is going to have to put higher demands on the news organizations to fact check and verify sources. That includes FOX, CNN, etc.
Or, people are going to have to make an effort to look at comparative news sites, that show the comparison of angles in the same news story. Poltifact fact checks claims and Punditfact does as well.
I think the information produced by the government belongs to you and I, not a political party. You can make an open records request for documents yourself to research a concern.
We are not at the mercy of the press to get our information.
As far as I'm concerned, it's a damned shame that a field as potentially dynamic and vital as journalism should be overrun with dullards, bums, and hacks, hag-ridden with myopia, apathy, and complacence, and generally stuck in a bog of stagnant mediocrity. Hunter S. Thompson
Wow...this comment is productive and thoughtful. Just the kind of name calling that has created the environment of hostility. That liberal could be your friend, or family member. Liberals are not a thing, it's a group of individuals. So you are insulting people you know. What exactly in the ideology is it that you find crazy? Be specific.
I said it applies to all people. Name calling isn't productive for anyone and it isn't a strategy for civil discourse. It solves nothing, and incites, making it harder to have a productive conversation and solve a problem. I hadn't noticed a post saying Conservative are mentally ill. If I did, I would call it out too.
