Let Logic Prevail --- 1 years ago -

Trump stunned lawmakers by embracing gun control measures long opposed by the N.R.A. and many Republicans

Mr. Trump called for comprehensive gun control that would expand background checks, keep guns from the mentally ill, secure schools and restrict gun sales from some young adults.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 1 years ago -

Wow! :=D

Emperor of Kingwood --- 1 years ago -

The devil is in the details. Currently, a gun dealer cannot sell a gun to a person who is mentally ill.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 1 years ago -

Can you post a link please? You would think this would be YUGE news and I checked 3 sites...

voice of reason --- 1 years ago -

it's on his facebook page along with his backpedaling on the wall for california.

then there's hope hicks pending resignation. it seems he's about to crash and implode since mueller has trump in his sights next. or so they say.

voice of reason --- 1 years ago -

dream on, emperor. he had the h.s. kids at the white house and listened to their voices of reason.

Hiro Protagonist --- 1 years ago -

"They should have taken them anyway, even if they didn't have the right." Donald Trump

Can you imagine if Obama had ever said that?

Watch out pubs, gun grabber Trump is going to take your guns away if he or the police think you're dangerous!

Hahahaha. Were they fox, the blaze, and breitbart by chance?

fuzz81 --- 1 years ago -

He said it on video, and you can?t even find it.

The very definition of biased. Go to real news sources.

Butterbean --- 1 years ago -

Actually, no, it wasn't. But you knew that bc well, you know...

fuzz81 --- 1 years ago -

So which sites did you look on then?

You would have to be blind, dumb, or ignorant to not see the story on anything even half reputable.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 1 years ago -

Msn, yahoo and CNN!

I thought if I just clicked on big sites, it would be all over the place, but knowing the media, I should have known better.

Hiro Protagonist --- 1 years ago -

You can see the video.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 1 years ago -

I didn't KNOW there was a video. I couldn't find the story much less a video.

fuzz81 --- 1 years ago -

So you?re accusing the media of not running a story, on a thread about the media story?

Makes perfect sense.

PS It?s been front page on CNN for many hours.

Butterbean --- 1 years ago -

I thought if I just clicked on big sites, it would be all over the place, but knowing the media, I should have known better.

Been there for hours. Follow the link I provided.

fuzz81 --- 1 years ago -

Open google. Type in the letters ?trump guns? on your keyboard, and voila. A video. I know, it?s tough stuff.

jackass --- 1 years ago -

Trump is a NYC billionaire no matter how much people want him to be a ?good ol boy?...lol

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 1 years ago -

Thank you BB for your helpfulness , and maturity.

Nah, it's just KU's resident soy boy, virtue signaler in a typical fit of petulant hysteria.

Hiro Protagonist --- 1 years ago -

Still wondering where the outrage and paranoia are after Trump's comment. Shouldn't the gun folks be in a lather over a POTUS suggesting that due process be thrown in the gutter, and just take someone's guns away?

Or is it that deep down inside they all know that Trump constantly liesm and you don't ever have to take him seriously?

Prolix Raconteur --- 1 years ago -

He's mercurial. Pretty much just wait and see what plays out.

jackass --- 1 years ago -

As long as it?s their side saying it they don?t take issue...he has that (R) next to his name now. What they really have to reconcile is their relationship with the NRA. They are the swamp, and you can?t drain the swamp without draining it of the NRA....

fuzz81 --- 1 years ago -

Yup

Prolix Raconteur --- 1 years ago -

The NRA contributed $200million combined in all political donations nationwide in the last 20 years. Unions contributed $1.5 billion to HRC's 2016 run alone. There's your swamp.

jackass --- 1 years ago -

I believe Hillary got drained...also can?t find anything to back up your claim that unions donated 1.5b to her 2016 campaign. But yes they?re part of the swamp too...you got that much right.

And I?ll just assume you know the difference between lobbyists and political donations.

Prolix Raconteur --- 1 years ago -

Are you saying unions don't have lobbyists? Quite sure there are WAY more union lobbyists than NRA lobbyists. Unions wield way more influence in both cash donations and lobbying efforts than the NRA ever will.

jackass --- 1 years ago -

Did I say that? Or even imply it? Good attempt to deflect the topic though...seems more like you?re saying the NRA isn?t part of the swamp which they very much are and even the moron in the White House said the GOP shouldn?t be so afraid of them. So why, if trump is telling the truth, would the GOP be afraid of the NRA if they aren?t as powerful as everyone seems to think they are?

He didn?t say everyone is afraid of the unions...which have served him well over the years btw.

Prolix Raconteur --- 1 years ago -

Slightly off topic, but all I'm saying is that unions sway lawmakers way more than the NRA ever will. Yes, the NRA has influence in DC, but they're far from the sole reason there is a reluctance by lawmakers to "erode" the 2nd amendment, as it's perceived by many.

DVaz --- 1 years ago -

Pharmaceutical lobbyists are the worst IMO.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 1 years ago -

The NRA is no more at fault for shootings than GMC is at fault for drunk driving crashes.

fuzz81 --- 1 years ago -

GMC doesn?t lobby to prevent drunk driving laws, or prevent research into automotive safety.

fuzz81 --- 1 years ago -

The NRA is more comparable to the tobacco lobbies

jackass --- 1 years ago -

I can see the similarities...

HA! Classic!

BuiltinTX70 --- 1 years ago -

I didn't KNOW there was a video. I couldn't find the story much less a video.

LOL....where the hell do you people get your news?

This was a MAJOR news story.

The White House had the session taped.

So here's the recap:

Trump spews out crap in his usual stream-of-consciousness.

Then, behind closed doors, his handlers have to tell him what he should be saying.

He's quite the piece of work.

LMFAO Both of the above. Unless you just want to be a good ole boy and defend with mercurial. Now that's rich. LMFAO
