I saw it last night! I spent 27 months in Iraq with KBR. My son was a Marine over their and it really hits home. I can see why it is up for 6 Academey's!

Its Mygirl01 --- 10 years ago -

My hubby wants to see it

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

I've been chomping at the bit to see this movie since the first time any info was mentioned- I remember when the real Vet was killed and as I learned more and more about him, It became more heartbreaking-

Dave M --- 10 years ago -

Cleared my afternoon calendar so I could take my wife to see it today. My son is a Marine stationed at 29.I also have a daughter in the Air Force.

ProudTXN --- 10 years ago -

Been waiting to see this movie and it was a great movie, despite the tears. Heartbreaking. May he RIP

My Marine sil has done 2 tours in a war zone, he's still over seas but no longer in war zone. My sailor is getting close to hitting the open waters. :(

We must not forget about our soldiers still over there, I long for them to be out of there already.

Perfection --- 10 years ago -

It was a very good film representation of a complex life.

Powerful.

How is his brother now?

Perfection --- 10 years ago -

Ok just Googled the brother. He wasn't as weak as suggested. In his own right he was just as active as Chris and served as a Marine for 8 years.

Davi --- 10 years ago -

Wow, lots of Marine Corps family here. My son is active duty, go to "29 Hells" as he calls it for the next month.
His PDS is Camp Pendleton.
I want to go see the movie as well. I will wait until the crowds decrease a little. I hate waiting in line for anything, and hate being shoulder to shoulder sitting in a movie theater..

Ok, I hate crowds.

I_won't_tell --- 10 years ago -

GREAT MOVIE!

CHRIS KYLE IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF AN AMERICAN PATRIOT!

Love the scene where Kyle's father talks to his sons about Wolfs/Sheep/Sheep Dogs!

After catching flack for poking fun at Obama during the 2012 Republican National convention, the media's saying it's okay to like Clint Eastwood again?

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

he's a terrific director, and I loved his movies- I think the RNC made a mistake allowing that performance, though.

Eclipse --- 10 years ago -

I think the RNC made a mistake allowing that performance, though.

Nobody within the RNC knew Eastwood was going to go off script when he did the empty chair routine.

The only person he told was a stage-hand just moments before going on stage.

But I do agree that he is a good film director.

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

Don't agree with Clint Eastwood's politics, but, he is an incredible actor and director.

I was curious to see how Bradley Cooper would do in a role like this...sounds like he's done well!

Puss In Boots --- 10 years ago -

Thanks you bunch of purses for ruining the movie for those who have not seen it.

Pffffttttt.

Whatever happened to posting spoiler alerts?

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

bunch of purses

LOL! That's an interesting phrase...I like it!

Ed Earl --- 10 years ago -

Great movie! Great job Clint.

Puss In Boots --- 10 years ago -

Frakkin iPhone.

Lol!!

stevemdx --- 10 years ago -

'America Strong' this weekend in suppport of this great movie!! Shattered records!!

Perfection --- 10 years ago -

How is a real life story based on a book ruined?

Chris Kyle's life is well documented.

Many have visited his gravesite in Austin.

stevemdx --- 10 years ago -

Please try to refrain from using the name of our sleeper jihad prez in the white house on this thread.

MiaBella Farm --- 10 years ago -

It was a great movie, we took both of our boys (17 & 19) to see it last night...I did not know much about Chris Kyle before I saw the movie so the ending was quite a surprise for ALL of us!

You could have heard a pin drop when the theater started to empty. Not a peep from anyone in the audience.

Perfection --- 10 years ago -

That will be the first movie I actually purchase once it comes out on DVD (will need to buy a DVD player too to play it in as well I guess).

That is one of those movies that will never be out of date and will always be important.

coach'sgirl --- 10 years ago -

My 10 yr old daughter really wants to see this movie. We can't decide if we should take her.

If you have seen it, I'd appreciate your feedback.

Wicked --- 10 years ago -

interesting that they released it around the MLK holiday. A man who was killed by a sniper. I have not seen it, heard it was very good and I do plan on seeing it, just not right now. Kind of a slap in the face to our black community.

Perfection --- 10 years ago -

It isn't about MLK. If you feel that way about it, cool that's how you feel.

Leila --- 10 years ago -

Kind of a slap in the face to our black community.

How? I am not seeing the connection but admittedly don't know all the details surrounding the movie.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 10 years ago -

Always a problem.

thesweetness --- 10 years ago -

His book is complete and total BS lies.

SleightOfHand --- 10 years ago -

"His book is complete and total BS lies. "

I doubt you read it

thesweetness --- 10 years ago -

I doubt you read it

Not many did.

SleightOfHand --- 10 years ago -

"I doubt you read it

Not many did. "

So you either are spewing baseless BS yourself or you are only posting what others have posted.

Prolix Raconteur --- 10 years ago -

Kind of a slap in the face to our black community.

What a reach. Even the black community couldn't string that one together. More white guilt; it's embarrassing.

Wicked --- 10 years ago -

From my Kingwood realtor...."you will be happy to know that our community is 98 percent white". Yep. She really said that. My first impression of "old Kingwood".

mutton --- 10 years ago -

What does this movie have to do with MLK? Not a dadgum thing...

mutton --- 10 years ago -

So did you still move into KW after hearing that?

Perfection --- 10 years ago -

Haters gonna hate

mutton --- 10 years ago -

True Perfection, and always look for a reason.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 10 years ago -

We're all waiting for her to pack up and leave Texas.

Leila --- 10 years ago -

Why would you stay with that realtor if that offended you? That kind of comment would have not reflected my values and I would have told her so, right before I said goodbye.

them --- 10 years ago -

interesting that they released it around the MLK holiday. A man who was killed by a sniper.

Most claims of racism, like this one, are just good old fashioned paranoia.
