Dorothy Parker --- 8 years ago -

He marks 2 months in office today and he's holding his second rally.

Has any other President ever done this? What is the point in doing this? How much is it costing tax payers?

Does anyone support this idea?

jackass --- 8 years ago -

Does anyone support this idea?

They'll pretend to.

I_won't_tell --- 8 years ago -

A bully pulpit is a conspicuous position that provides an opportunity to speak out and be listened to. This term was coined by President Theodore Roosevelt, who referred to the White House as a "bully pulpit", by which he meant a terrific platform from which to advocate an agenda.

He is rallying his supporters and it is GREAT.

He wants the voters to keep putting pressure on THEIR elected officials.

Maybe in the not too distant future,

if we get really lucky,

he can rid the nation of all the troublesome liberals!

Wow. This election loss is hitting Dorothy a bit harder than everyone else.

Vivre Libre ou Mourir --- 8 years ago -

It sure beats going on an international apology tour and bowing down to foreign leaders.

How much did that cost taxpayers?

sdanielmcev --- 8 years ago -

Hy not hold rallies?

all politicians do this in one form or another especially when they are receiving negative press. it is like when CEOs have big rah-rah shareholders meetings when the company is showing losses. trump is a business man.

Butterbean --- 8 years ago -

Snake oil marketing.

Dorothy Parker --- 8 years ago -

I wish Trump was a president instead of a self-appointed Emperor.

He's still campaigning...needs praise and ego strokes. Gag.

Karras --- 8 years ago -

I wish Trump was a president instead of a self-appointed Emperor.

LOL. Were any libs taught history? I am having my doubts with them comparing Trump to a King, Emperor or the old stand by "Hitler".

More than that, they are a bunch of hypocrites. They are upset with Trump with the perceived idea that he is acting like a dictator, but have no problems with the likes of Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Stalin, Lenin,or Noriega (Venezuela and Nicaragua).

And if they cared about women's rights, gay rights et., the last thing they would want is the country flooded with muslims. Good grief.

You mean like the amount of 'town halls' Obama did?
You know, for someone that takes the name like Dorothy Parker, you certainly lack her wit. (Unless halfwit, dimwit or nitwit counts.)

AMDG --- 8 years ago -

He does this to feed a narcissistic and fragile ego.

He seems to need this affirmation from small crowds of dedicated "fans". To offset all this bad "fake news".

Psychological analysis by dr amdg

Dorothy Parker --- 8 years ago -

I agree with your assessment, Dr. AMDG.

fuzz81 --- 8 years ago -

The trumplings keep showing up. Eventually his crowds will dwindle.

I_won't_tell --- 8 years ago -

Karras -

In your experience, do snowflakes always complain this much?

BuiltinTX70 --- 8 years ago -

I concur as well, AMDG.

Let's face it, as I said on another thread, there isn't much profound thought going thru the man's head. It's whatever hits him at the moment, which plays well in a pep rally type setting.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 8 years ago -

Wow. POTUS really triggers the KU snowflakes.

When has the left cared about spending.. all of a sudden it's a problem

jackass --- 8 years ago -

When did the "right" stop caring about spending..all of a sudden its not a problem

Joe Blow --- 8 years ago -

Has any other President ever done this? What is the point in doing this? How much is it costing tax payers?

The point? Twitler needs his fix of adoration.

LMFAO

Defcon1 --- 8 years ago -

Hillary never going to prison? Check.
Federal Reserve still running the show? Check.
War efforts ramping up? Check.
Replacing the swamp with equally sketchy individuals? Check.
Absolute continuation of the status quo? Check.
Tax-payers footing the bill for a moronic wall? Check.

I'm wondering how long it's going to take Americans to wake up to the false two-party illusion. Same sh!t, different day.

Joe Blow --- 8 years ago -

Even worse when you factor in the nepotism. The only saving grace (thrown in for the RW religous among us)is Trumpty DUMP will not last a full term.

Zapper009 --- 8 years ago -

Trumpty DUMP will not last a full term.

The same polls that told you Hillary was going to win must be telling you this.

fuzz81 --- 8 years ago -

She won the popular vote by 3 million votes. This was reflected in the polls.

Funny. My 5 year old niece understands, but you don't.

Did Hillary and the polls not understand that it's not the popular vote that gets you elected?

fuzz81 --- 8 years ago -

Do you understand that polls reflect popular vote?

That must really sting deep for you. You mention it at every opportunity. It must hurt a lot...

SoupIsGoodFood --- 8 years ago -

It's the cause of him lurking and posting on KU at 2am.

them --- 8 years ago -

It wasn't 2am. It was 1:59am. Don't cause another conniption fit in cuzz.

That's the ONLY thing fuzz81 can claim. Too bad they weren't in the right place. I wonder how many states she carried. The whole reason for the electoral college is to give each state EQUAL representation in the election.

Empty space can't vote

Empty space can't vote

Were you able to vote?

fuzz81 --- 8 years ago -

Did I claim I was?

JustWatching --- 8 years ago -

Once again fuzz81 is not worth the effort. Who cares what he thinks???? HE'S NOT A CITIZEN.

In answer to the question in the title:...Because he can!
