Another brilliant response from you above. RME

Special counsel is investigating Trump for possible obstruction of justice, officials say

The decision by Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III to investigate Trump?s own conduct marks a major turning point in the nearly year-old FBI investigation, which until recently focused on Russian meddling during the presidential campaign and on whether there was any coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.

Senior intelligence officials, including Daniel Coats, the current director of national intelligence, and Adm. Mike Rogers, head of the National Security Agency, agreed to be interviewed by Mueller?s investigators as early as this week, according to five people briefed on the requests.

Challenger --- 69 days ago -

It's true. Mueller is going to bring POTUS down. Comey will get immunity and bingo bango.

UnbeatableSoup --- 69 days ago -

Hillary is going to win in a landslide, too.

LMFAO!!!!!

jackass --- 69 days ago -

Nice deflection...lol

HDS still has it's grip on soup...

Are we great again yet --- 69 days ago -

I wonder how many of the Dear Leader's roundtable stepin fetchit cabinet members will lie for him when Special Counsel questions each one under oath, knowing jail time will be on the line.

Are we great again yet --- 69 days ago -

"I'm now convinced that we will be facing the very real possibility of a constitutional crisis with many dimensions and deleterious consequences should Secretary?Clinton win the election," Trumpquoted?from an op-ed by Schoen, hastily adding that he didn't think a Clinton victory would happen.?Trump then laid out a detailed?hypothesis ? echoing Schoen's column ? to?the crowd of several thousand in Grand Rapids, Mich., conjuring a?future marred by controversy should his Democratic rival win."She would be under protracted criminal investigation and probably a criminal trial, I would say. So we'd have a criminal trial of a sitting president," he said.He warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin and other world leaders would "sit back?and they would laugh and they would smile" during a years-long investigation. In the meantime, he predicted, manufacturing in the country would further decline and other problems would go unaddressed."Our country will continue to suffer," Trump said.

Really soup? You actually think Hillary is going to lose? 😂😂😂😂

This is one of those times that, if I had been on here for the last 6 months bagging on over confident Hillary supporters, I might just clam up and see what happens...don't want end up looking as dumb as they did.

But that's just me...

Sure, there is no bias in the special prosecutor. His first four top picks are all democratic donors. However, onto the upcoming interviews. All those men have, under oath, sworn that there was never any pressure brought on them. So, unless they committed perjury before, their testimony will be the same.

All you democrats who think this is going to amount to anything had better think again. Although I must admit you all are used to losing.

Good luck with this. The special prosecutor isn't going to find anything. Everyone has already heard most of the facts at one time or another but believe what you want. However, you should be ready to be disappointed.

Really...what world are you living in? They've both had to retract stories. But as I've said before, believe what you want. You are used to disappointment anyway.

That's all it is. The voters are going to remember all the phony stories and all the witch hunts in 2018. Maybe the Republicans will end up with 60 Senate seats and not have to worry about the democrats. LOL

It seems the democrats never learn. They tried all this during the election and it backfired. Maybe we should hope it continues so we win more in 2018.

Have you noticed that this investigation doesn't have a crime to investigate? They are doing it backwards. They are saying we are going to look at the President and see if he committed a crime. BTW...a leak from the special prosecutor's office is considered misconduct and is a firing offense.

fuzz81 --- 69 days ago -

So you now admit trump is under investigation?

JustWatching --- 69 days ago -

So you now admit trump is under investigation??

That information was leaked out of the special prosecutor's office. Who knows if it is true. BTW...that's misconduct in the prosecutor's office and is a firing offense for which the special prosecutor can be fired.

Nice try to twist what I said. You really have a habit of trying that. However, I just finished listening to a former federal judge and Attorney General and he said that there is no crime in hoping for a certain outcome. This is a witch hunt. Plain and simple. The American people will remember it as such. Watch and see. fuzzy, remember I warned you about the election but you were so sure HRC was going to win. Maybe you should wait and see what happens before you bet everything on an outcome that won't happen. If not, you are going to be disappointed again.

JustWatching --- 69 days ago -

BTW...fuzz, just so you know the legal definition of "obstruction of justice" there must be a corrupt act which must have one of the following five things:
1. a lie
2. a threat
3. a bribe
4. destruction of evidence
5. or concealing of documents

Comey alleges none of these, so what the President did does not constitute obstruction. This "investigation" is dead in the water before it starts. BTW...fuzz, if you don't believe me, ask a lawyer friend and see what he/she says.

(You must have at least one of those things to constitute a corrupt act for there to be obstruction.)

Next there is a rule (for special prosecutors) that says if you have a close personal relationship with anyone involved in the investigation, the special counsel must resign. He is a close personal friend with Comey which constitutes a conflict of interest. So, if he doesn't resign, then nothing he does will have any standing at all because of that rule. Watch what happens. LOL

I did my homework, now you do yours!

Obviously you do not want any sort of an intelligent conversation, so from now on, you are going to be ignored. I would suggest to everyone else to do the same.

His answer is typical of what the left and the democrats do. When they can't dispute the facts, they try to deflect or totally ignore the facts as done above.

I second that motion.

Mueller and his team of investigators are interviewing senior intelligence officials about Trump's role as part of an expanded probe, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday night. NBC News has not confirmed that the president is under investigation.

JustWatching --- 69 days ago -

He won't get anything. The senior intelligence people have already testified that they have not been pressured to do anything. This is all a waste of time. I hope the voters remember this next year.

I will. I appreciate that they are taking concerns seriously, and using the justice system to determine innocence or guilt rather than one person. This has put Trump on notice about how he governs and what he says.

If there is a waste of money argument, I have to counter with Trump's trips to Mar A Lago. It is around 3.6 million per trip and apparently he has been there 13 times, and he has been in office 6 months. It also sniffs of conflict of interest, since he owns and profits from the property. I don't like paying for his PR or Brand Recognition.

wayward1 --- 69 days ago -

If this investigation is all a waste of time and baseless - why is Trump continuing to make this worse for himself.

Sessions invoking executive privilege, not "recalling" key details and events, firing Comey, threatening the "tapes" of their conversations, discussing firing Mueller - all of this is self inflicted.

If this is all fake, all a false, made up witch hunt, why on earth is Trump and his team acting this way?

AMDG --- 69 days ago -

Maybe time for my broken record post -

there is a special counsel in place conducting an investigation, by almost every account Mr. Mueller is capable, respected and bi partisan.

Lets wait for the investigation to end, the results to be published and then we can all disregard whatever it says and go back to our respective corners and continue to yell and throw stuff at each other.

I know. It seems like they would just answer the questions and move on. Seems like an innocent person would be transparent. The bait with the tape, and not producing it quickly, again wastes time. We all want to move on. The public is frustrated by the word salad and non answers that has come with the administration. It is disrespectful to the voters. It feels like game playing. I wouldn't want a friend who couldn't be transparent. I don't want a leader that can't either.

You guys still banking on these "unnamed sources"?

Prolix Raconteur --- 68 days ago -

I've made a new personal policy to stop reading any article as soon as I see "anonymous sources" or "unnamed sources" mentioned as a point of reference. Might as well be reading the National Enquirer.

Normally an investigation has a crime to investigate. Please tell me what the crime is and who did? This is a witch hunt and in the end will be a waste of time and money.

BTW...did the special prosecutor forget that Pres Trump can FIRE the director of the FBI for no reason at all. It is within his constitutional powers. That investigation is going to go nowhere.

Tryingto --- 68 days ago -

WP reporting it is obstruction of justice. Pence got an attorney. So who knows what else is mixed up in this.

This is a witch hunt and in the end will be a waste of time and money.

To be determined. As for wasting money, Trump spent 26 million dollars (3.6 x 7 trips) on weekend golf outings, in 7 months. How did taxpayers benefit this? Great "free" advertising for his personal business. Happy to spend my tax money to improve his golf swing and advertise his property. I know it must be hard to slum it in DC. in the White House.
