Feminists claim to promote the advancement of women and gender equality, largely via the promotion of so-called sexual liberation, but their movement is leaving a wake of unhappy, unmarried, and childless women in its path, a real problem feminists seemingly refuse to entirely address.

According to a recent study from Yale University researchers, liberated, college educated women are freezing their eggs because they can't find a man to marry and have children with before their natural childbearing years expire.

So, Karrie, what is your schtick?...lol

sdanielmcev --- 68 days ago -

When they took the feminine out of feminism...

wayward1 --- 68 days ago -

The 150 women undergoing the egg-freezing process in the U.S. and Israel who were extensively interviewed for the study, claimed they were not putting off having a family in order to advance their career, but because they simply couldn't find a mate.

Inhorn blames the problem on a shortage of college-educated men. "There is a major gap ? they are literally missing men. There are not enough college graduates for them. In simple terms, this is about an oversupply of educated women,? she says.

Dang, that's biting. Thank god I locked in my higher-educated wife when I could.

Or, underachieving men are forcing women to freeze their eggs until the gene pool elevates to the standards they've achieved.

That's not feminism, that's just smart planning. Would you advise your son to marry any woman he met at a bar just to have kids? Then, don't ask women to either.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 65 days ago -

Or, underachieving men

Translation. Doesn't make enough money. Isn't going to inherit money.

sdanielmcev --- 65 days ago -

Wait until they hit thirty. Going nowhere with their art history major. Whining with all their similar GFs about not finding a 'good man.' All the while not listening to themselves why they can't find one. More often than not it is their own holier-than -you attitude that their 'education' is what is holding them back.(Or, should I say indoctrination?)
Education gives you knowledge, but intelligence allows you to use knowledge.

Translation. Doesn't make enough money. Isn't going to inherit money.

Women are outpacing men in graduation rates. And, a husband or wife has no claim on an inheritance from the other once married. That has nothing to do with anything. It's not holier than thou, it's about sharing common interests, and sharing the workload.

Men are deferring careers to support the family while women with more lucrative jobs work. Men stay home too.

The traditional model you are exposing is not the norm. Men and women have to find new ways to divide work--

Totally true. You slam dunked Comrade Karass.

Also, in some states in is now the norm to give 50% physical custody of children to both men and women. It is no longer assumed that women are better caregivers. There are rights that men are getting as well, and a lot of it has to do with equitably sharing the cost, labor, and time of raising children.

I also shared that my grandma who married during wartime had to get a job after her spouse died. She wasn't a woman's liber--it was survival. Whether male or female, you have to take care of your family both financially and emotionally.

witchywoman --- 65 days ago -

You're off target again.....actually, aiming in the wrong direction.

It's not always about money like you white old men capitalist pig republicans think. Some of us are more interested in finding a man of equal or higher intelligence than ourselves. Slim pickings these days considering 36% support Trump.

Karras --- 65 days ago -

I guess no one actually read the article. Here is the conclusion of the article:

" Over 90% of those surveyed were not freezing their eggs to postpone childbearing to advance a career. Instead, ?they were desperately ?preserving? their fertility beyond the natural end of their reproductive lives, because they were single without partners to marry,? he said.

So back to the original claim: the so-called sexual liberation of women is indeed screwing women, and not in a good way.

Why would a man rush to settle down and marry someone if he can not only have sex with ?liberated? women without a ring, but even cohabitate with them, too? Moreover, the less chaste a woman is, the less preferable she will likely be to a man. Not to mention a woman?s increasing age and creeping near infertility as another massively undesirable trait.

If women demanded more from men, did not sleep around in the name of feminism, men would settle into marriage at an earlier age.

But, nonetheless, these simple truths will be rejected by feminists everywhere, clinging hard to their sad, lonely lives in exchange for empty Feminism, as they accuse any dissenter of being a misogynist.

Men and women come in lots of sizes. I know a CEO female that runs the household and a major company; her husand works from home. My aunt runs a hospital department and and an uncle works at marina. They are all fine a part, and they find it +++ a lot. To each his own. I think issues arise when you show stereotypical behavior that doesn't reflect you life..

Another family the man cooks, and the share the cost of a cleaner. There are lots of ways to make relationships work.

If I work as much as my spouse, he can clean up too. We both live here, rear children, because they have more needs than adults.

Was that on a cave man wall? It takes more cojones to recognize the importance of having a man participating in raising children, than it does to ignore your kids...why the low self esteem? Afraid loving your kids make you less manly? If your a CEO, the company is your family. So, put the charity in the home, and lead your home business.

Tryingto --- 64 days ago -

Maybe some women have not interest in a relationship with a man. I do have multiple voluntarily friends that a childless, and spouseless, are employed an attractive. They travel. They adventure seek. Things that don't match with settling down. So, freeze eggs until the priority for a family opens (or not). Many men and women don't want kids.

Viagra lets 90 year old take part in fertilization, so why not egg freezing?

So, pull of Viagra, if it's an issue. Don't point to women as the cause.

Really? So there is one woman making rounds. Women are sexual, and just like men, the sex isn't always a starting time for a long time relationship. Women can have serial, uncommitted relationships. If it's such a problem, chat with the men who live it too. Men can walk away, woman aren't sirens or tricksters FORCING THEM.

women DEMANDED MORE OF THEMSELVES AND OF MEN.iF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR SPOUSEiWHY WOULD YOU RESENT THE NEED FOR FULFILLMENT?
Your brain develops through the 20's, so early 30's would probably be the time to think about marriage goals. Feminism forced women and men to work and raise a family collectively.

What if your wife died and the only way to live was to marry some jerk SO YOU HAD A HOUSE AND FOOD. How is that even remotely okay? I'd rather work A 100 HOURS. nO "HELPER" IS NEEDED TO HELP ME GET BY.

In your mind only a sissy man loves his children? In your mind successful men can't love their children and be fantastic dads? "If you are a CEO, the company is your family?" What a bunch of BS. Feminist have ruined what the idea of being a woman is. They think they are suppose to compete with men rather than be their mirror and compliment the partnership. If a man wants a woman who is just like a man then he is probably gay and just having a hard time coming out.

"Feminists have ruined the idea of what being a woman is"

No they haven't, really, they just ruin it for themselves. The rest of us are just being who we are. In the end, any relationship requires similar values and goals, attraction and commitment to each other. THAT needs to be a two way street who ever you and he are.

What really hurts men is they are stuck in the "boys will be boys" mentality bc it garners a high five from their bro's, but women don't want to be grabbed by their crotch or be with someone who thinks women are a class of their underlings.

Be classy, be a gentleman who's loving and good natured, who knows HOW to step up to the plate and be there for someone when it's needed, you'll get all the good food and sex you want. LOL

I said absolutely the opposite--it takes guts to treat your family with the same commitment that most are willing to put toward work. It takes guts to look around and overcome your own prejudices and fairly and equitably divide responsibilities. There is no guarantee your partner will be around, so how can you not think about what you will do if a working spouse dies or you get divorced? That's not feminism, that's survival for yourself and your kids.

Feminism did end the notion that you HAVE to be married, have children, or rely on a man (or anyone) for an income. As it should, now, men need to be fighting for equal pay alongside women, because, in a two working home, your family should both get top dollar for work, regardless of sex. Your family loses, including men, if you don't.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 64 days ago -

WTF? A responsible, hard worker, who enjoys a career and who is committed to the home and family own is gay? You have some serious stereotype issues to overcome. This sounds like some kind of internal indoctrination that makes you have a hard time envisioning a world beyond the 1950's female "ideal" which BTW was not great.

Would the world be better if we had phones still stuck in the wall, and drove cars like the Flintstones? Life changes--and so do gender roles.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 64 days ago -

Life changes--and so do gender roles.

And so does the willingness of a man to enter into a relationship and family when its still expected that he work full time.

Tryingto --- 64 days ago -

I believe both partners need to have an earning capacity. People die. Careers become obsolete. It's not a male female thing, it's just economics.

Tryingto --- 64 days ago -

You bet. If you find a woman who wants to work full time, clean, cook and raise kids and bring you slippers, more power to both of you. Point is there are choices and lots of ways to divide work that make both happy.
