I saw that this morning ... it IS sad! 

Are you talking about the ones at the new HEB center in the easement? 

Thats sucks. The trees are so beautiful over there. 

Aren't they relocating them? 

Yeah, to the trash dump most likely. Progress ya know, dam progressives. LOL 

And here I thought they stopped cutting down trees after they built my house and the road to it. 

Why? The ones in the center? 

Did they cut them down or take them out with the root baller? If the latter then they will be coming back when the turn lanes are put in. The intention is to retain the canopy.

Looked to me like they were cutting them down - in sections - and feeding the sections into a mulching machine. At least that is what I saw this morning.

The key to happiness in this world is to get your own trees and take good care of them. Thats how you get back at the ones who dont care.

The ones I saw were in the middle - not along the along the curbs. Maybe the ones along/nearer the curbs are the ones they intend to replant. IDK

What trees in the middle? They cleared the trees from the middle of the acreage months ago. There was a pile of limbs and trunks, is that what they were putting into the mulching machine? 

That sucks. Eff HEB. I hate that store. 

HEB is only a tenant, not the tree removing developer, Lovett Commercial. DUH.

Correct. They removed a few on the sidewalk side to cut access into the parking lot area of the new construction.

To be clear, some have been earmarked for relocation (those that are in the way of turn lanes which will added on WLH to accommodate the new center). Others, in the median north of KW Dr, were simply being felled, sectioned and mulched onsite. Simply a disgrace to fell these beautiful trees in the name of better visibility for the new center. I got nothing wrong. I witnessed the process.

I drove up and down this weekend looking for missing trees and there were none that I could tell. Are you sure they weren't just pruning them like they do every year? 

Drove by yesterday and I didn't see any. Maybe better define the area you're talking about. 

They took out a couple pine trees on the southbound side of WLHP in front of radio shack and cut a couple of clearings for driveways into the new parking lot area that will be across the street. I didn't see anything in the median having been removed.

It looks as though they moved some of the trees in the median to make room for the transplants. Transplants start tomorrow. 

Should have taken pictures. One of the biggest was in the median straight out from Walgreens
