If you're too dumb to read you Did not notice that it did not say it was an AR-15 but that is not needed in civilian hands either.

texasracefan71 --- 179 days ago -

And you are too dumb to realize that it said he carried the M4, and that if you need that, or another weapon of war...

The AR-15 is not a weapon of war. It was approved for sale to civilians in 1963.

The M4 is an automatic weapon. As stated in my response, that requires approval from the ATF, and is extremely expensive.

LOL........ the loony left never disappoints.

jackass --- 179 days ago -

The world just needs better and more thoughtful education when it comes to guns...

Miss Understanding --- 179 days ago -

On our streets an AR15 is for sure a weapon of war.

Miss Understanding --- 179 days ago -

Buzz off Prolix I am on my phone!

I don?t support banning anything, but, I?ve yet to hear a story where a civilian did something good with an ar15

Really? The guy that helped stop the Church shooter in Sutherland Springs did so with his AR-15.

Prolix, I keep hoping she'll amputate her wrists, thus losing the ability to type, but she'd eventually figure out the talk-to-text feature so that won't work...

oRDINARYgUY YOU GOT IN TROUBLE!

Sideboom --- 163 days ago -

Of course you won't hear about a good guy with an AR 15. It doesn't fit the agenda the shepherds want for the sheep.
Sutherlands Springs is a perfect example.
Shooter shoots and kills church members with "an assault weapon". Local hero stopped the man with a rifle.
Yet both guys used an AR 15 rifle.

Miss Understanding --- 163 days ago -

There are way more killings with that weaponry than there are people stopping bad guys.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 163 days ago -

That's probably true.

Sideboom --- 163 days ago -

Again you only hear what the they want you to hear. I would bet more people are killed with pistols each year than people with ARs. Yet we aren't wanting to ban pistols, just ARs

Emperor of Kingwood --- 159 days ago -

I would bet more people are killed with pistols each year than people with ARs.

More people are killed due to drunk driving but you don;t hear the clamor to ban alcohol. Oh wait, we tried that once, it didn't work.

Prolix Raconteur --- 159 days ago -

Pistols account for well over 90% of gun related deaths. AR's account for literally 1% of gun related homicides.

Defcon1 --- 158 days ago -

Did not notice that it did not say it was an AR-15 but that is not needed in civilian hands either.?

Sorry. Liberty and constitutional rights aren't even up for discussion.

Defcon1 --- 158 days ago -

Doesn't matter. The second amendment isn't about shooting robbers in your house. The second amendment isn't about hunting.

The second amendment is specifically written solely for the purpose of an armed citizenry being able to form the world's largest military force immediately at any given time to counter any attack or threat whether it be foreign or domestic.

fuzz81 --- 157 days ago -

Look up the definition of amendment. Prohibition was also in the constitution, was it not eligible for discussion? Lol

So proud of the kids walking out to remember the anniversary of Columbine.

The kids in Parkland Fla are on their way to the state capitol to protest gun violence on the anniversary of Columbine.

Personally Id like to see this for every school shooting. All the schools that had to experience that get up and walk out to their state capitols to protest.
Every Year, Every school

RayofHope --- 156 days ago -

We need to ban knives and cars in order to stop the killing.

Sideboom --- 155 days ago -

If my math is correct.
208 students killed since columbine. We all agree that 208 is WAY too many, right? We can all agree on this? Yet 16-19 kids are killed EACH day, EACH DAY, by distracted driving. Do the math. Here I?ll do it.
16x52=832
19 years since Columbine
19x832=15,808
How many of us bought or helped buy a car for our teen(s)? How many of us let our teens get in a car with other teens?
Where is the outrage? Where is the protest?
If I was going to get angry at someone I think it would be the cell phone companies and automakers they are killing our kids faster than the NRA and gun manufactures.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 155 days ago -

Common sense is lost on the liberal sheeple.

fuzz81 --- 155 days ago -

A car isn?t designed to kill, and there have been countless regulations implemented that have drastically reduced vehicle fatalities. But by all means, keep using the idiotic vehicle analogy. It really shores up our understanding of republican IQs.

the Markster --- 155 days ago -

t really shores up our understanding of republican IQs.

Almost agreed.
Honestly I believe its a small percentage of lock step RWNJ's echoing a talking point. Logic and reason need not apply to that group. Note: Not all KU republicans are chiming in with ridiculous or pointless rhetoric .

I am still proud of those kids that are engaging our gov. They rock.

Sideboom --- 155 days ago -

LOL you figured me out. My republican IQ.
At least I don?t blame the gun. I blame the person. Not the gun. Not the car. Not the cell phone. The person.
You keep pushing for gun control. I got my guns all under control.

the Markster --- 155 days ago -

You keep pushing for gun control.

For people....

Sideboom --- 155 days ago -

I have no problem with the kids doing it. But how many are just following the shepherd? There are things they could do that would get better results. Bullying for starters. As my Republican mind thinks. It?s not the gun it?s the person using it. Educate your kids, teach respect and discipline them.

the Markster --- 155 days ago -

It?s not the gun it?s the person using it.

And thats why those kids and others are calling for gun laws for people. Kids aren't the only ones shooting.

Vegas comes to mind, Im sure theres more.

Sideboom --- 155 days ago -

I?m guessing you don?t know the laws. Because there are plenty of them.

jackass --- 155 days ago -

Whatever your little ?cause? is, there?s always something worse that you don?t seem to care about...

Just because it wasn't designed to kill, doesn't make it any less dangerous. Opoid drugs weren't "designed to kill" either, but look at how many deaths they caused.

People should focus on what the real killers are, instead of feel-good symbolism.

the Markster --- 154 days ago -

Until people start using cars and opioid s to mass kill kids trying to learn algebra, that isn't going to happen. If we could stay on topic, that'd be great.

Of course you are correct. Traffic fatalities and accidents have claimed many, many more lives. Too much internet, violent games and Violent films, and sexual exploitation from Hollywood money grubbers have all effected our kids now. Their brains ARE actually changed bc of all this, including way too much screen time. Add mental illness into the fray and the balls being dropped by law enforcement and you have trouble. This last shooting was 100% avoidable WITH multiple warning that went unheeded.

You also have party hacks on both sides making a political football out of this to one up the other side with their "concern" or the "2nd Amendment" protection band wagon. The media is working the weak minded into a frenzy. Many thousands of kids die in traffic accidents and no one is walking out about THAT. Manipulation is at a peak right now...

Good laws are needed. Parents doing the right thing is needed. Mental health help is needed. And the truth is needed as well: mankind worships at the altar of free will, and runs from self imposed boundaries.
