Humm

napoleon --- 11 years ago -

Thanks - put it on.

Its Mygirl01 --- 11 years ago -

Not guilty

freebyrdII --- 11 years ago -

Correct

Four Pinocchios --- 11 years ago -

He'd better move to another country.

CitizenOnPatrol --- 11 years ago -

Turn it on MSNBC if you want to hear them cry about it.

Gigix4 --- 11 years ago -

Not guilty

Works for me!

SleightOfHand --- 11 years ago -

Good job jury, you did well

Sinister --- 11 years ago -

He'd better move to another country.

I agree....although I do agree with the not guilty verdict, he is screwed and will never live a normal life.

Let the riots begin. :/

CitizenOnPatrol --- 11 years ago -

Hahaha.. Al Sharpton talking about "what the next steps will be" in the quest for justice... He was found not guilty pal... give it up.

Semper --- 11 years ago -

Hopefully there will be no acts of violence just because some people are upset with the verdict. I remember the jubilation when OJ was aquitted of murdering his wife. White people didn't go rioting, pulling innocent people aside and beating them a la Reginald Denny, etc.

Agreed!

Gigix4 --- 11 years ago -

he is screwed and will never live a normal life.

No matter what the verdict was, guilty or not guilty, he is screwed and will never live a normal life.

Let the riots begin.
You can bet on it!

Four Pinocchios --- 11 years ago -

I agree....although I do agree with the not guilty verdict, he is screwed and will never live a normal life.

Yep. His freedom is gone, despite the verdict.

Pollys Crackers --- 11 years ago -

I agree in that his life will be changed and he better grow eyes in the back of his head but I am extremely happy with a fair verdict. According to the law they couldn't have found it any other way.

ExLady In Blue --- 11 years ago -

I hope the rioting idiots realize that is a carry/conceal state. The rioting might not turn out quite the way they want it to.

ukchristine --- 11 years ago -

Seams like the lady on MSNBC is retrying the case. I guess they didn't get the result they wanted. Blaming the jury now. Oh and the NRA I think they are pushing for a BIG reaction.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 11 years ago -

Told ya so.

randyjet --- 11 years ago -

Well, don't get into any fist fights in any ice house or bar or any place since the losing party can pull a gun and kill you even if they start the fight. So the thing is we all need to be armed against people like Zimmerman and we can shoot him before he shoots us. All we need is to feel threatened for our life, and it is up to the prosecution to prove that we did NOT fear for our lives.

Gigix4 --- 11 years ago -

I'm sure that by Monday morning, the papers for a "Wrongful Death" suit will be filed by Martin's parents.

SleightOfHand --- 11 years ago -

MSNBC has no credibility

BiteMe --- 11 years ago -

Apparently, Trayvon's parents and local church leaders have been calling for peace, no matter what the verdict was. They want no huge public protest, I'm sure they want to be left alone at this point.

As for Zimmerman, he may still be alive and breathing, but like others said, his life is over...here at least. This whole thing could have been avoided, and now two lives are over. Nothing to celebrate here, move along.

ukchristine --- 11 years ago -

The gracious losers react better than MSNBC.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 11 years ago -

Zimmerman was NEVER guilty.

Lots of wasted time and money by the state of Florida with this one. On a case they were NEVER GOING TO WIN.

SleightOfHand --- 11 years ago -

"and it is up to the prosecution to prove that we did NOT fear for our lives. "

There, was it that hard to understand that?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 11 years ago -

All we need is to feel threatened for our life, and it is up to the prosecution to prove that we did NOT fear for our lives.

There is a higher threshold than that. You left out the words "reasonable person". But, basically, thats the law. The jury got it right and the state couldnt prove its case.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 11 years ago -

The state could NEVER prove their case. They brought this case because of political and social pressure.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 11 years ago -

Exactly. DOJ pressure.

CitizenOnPatrol --- 11 years ago -

Nothing to celebrate here, move along.

Sounds like something someone would say if they didn't get their way.

BiteMe --- 11 years ago -

Sounds like something someone would say if they didn't get their way.

Maybe. Unlike you I didn't have my party supplies ready and waiting for this verdict. It's a sad case. A teenager is dead. Only a sick twisted person could find anything to celebrate in this mess... I guess you fit that bill.

randyjet --- 11 years ago -

There, was it that hard to understand that?

If you would have read my posts, I said that before. The problem is that such a thing is simply impossible. Thus virtually ANY use of deadly force is permitted under almost ALL situations. You cannot prove what a person is thinking unless you believe in mind reading. I also said that I thought the defense getting an all woman jury was a great coup for them since they do not bring in any fist fighting experience.

In any case, as I said, O'Mara did one hell of a job and I think the jury did theirs, though I disagree with it. Given this, it is time to modify FL law on the use of deadly force and make it more specific and concrete so as to prevent this kind of thing in the future.

CitizenOnPatrol --- 11 years ago -

Could you cry any harder??

I didn't say this is something to celebrate.

It's just funny you say oh! don't celebrate guys.. when you would have been talking about how great the justice system is if you had got your way. But you didn't.

ExLady In Blue --- 11 years ago -

I also said that I thought the defense getting an all woman jury was a great coup for them since they do not bring in any fist fighting experience.

Are you freaking nuts??? Many of those women had children. You don't think for one minute those mothers didn't say, "What would I want to happen if this had happened to my kid"? I was actually expecting a GUILTY verdict, based on the make up of the jury.

snowprincess --- 11 years ago -

Given this, it is time to modify FL law on the use of deadly force and make it more specific and concrete so as to prevent this kind of thing in the future.

You mean like only allowing someone to shoot the person who attacked them and is on top of them AFTER they are dead? Or at least knocked out?

randyjet --- 11 years ago -

The state could NEVER prove their case. They brought this case because of political and social pressure.

Well please tell me why Craig Washington was arrested and charged when HE was defending himself on HIS PROPERTY from a deadly weapon that was being used by two white kids who tried to run him down. I guess his problem was he did not kill them. Next time he should shoot better and make sure they are dead.

snowprincess --- 11 years ago -

Can you post a link? I don't watch the news much and have no idea about this case.

BrockLee --- 11 years ago -

The state could NEVER prove their case. They brought this case because of political and social pressure.

Which I think was still the right thing to do. An agency that represents justice sometimes has to act under social pressure.

sunshine1881 --- 11 years ago -

You do realize no one won anything, right? A 17 year old is dead and George Zimmerman has to live the rest of his life knowing he took a life. It is sad no matter what and never should have happened. There's nothing to celebrate either way.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 11 years ago -

. I also said that I thought the defense getting an all woman jury was a great coup for them since they do not bring in any fist fighting experience.

Both defense and prosecution agreed on the jurors. Your comment about fist fighting experience is just stupid.

BrockLee --- 11 years ago -

There should be no gloating on this thread. It is still sad what happened.

A kid still lost his life on a night that he probably would have made it home alive if he had not caught the attention of a man looking for suspicious persons.
