Miss Understanding --- 7 years ago -

Since I am opposed to separating parents from their kids, I want to create a special prison for Trump and his children.

Prolix Raconteur --- 7 years ago -

You have to pass an IQ test first.

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

In that case, since Obama did the same thing, you might as well build a prison for him, too.

"Don't be a dumba&& and drag your kid across in international border illegally"

Miss Understanding --- 7 years ago -

Don't you get it? They are trying to give their kiddos a better life away from drug cartels, repressive govmints and such. Who can blame them for that? The repugnant party, thats who!

roer de pot --- 7 years ago -

Please provide your source that backs up your claim that President Obama ripped children from their mother's arms.

Seeking asylum isn't breaking a law.

Here, let me help you

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

You do realize that the Trump Administration is simply following the law that was enacted by the Obama Administration, right?

Despite the efforts of the Republican Congress to find a bipartisan solution to the problem, the Democrats (in particular, Pelosi and Schumer) refuse to reach across the aisle to fix the problem.

It is not the responsibility of the United States to allow those people into the USA who are fleeing the problems of their countries, simply because their government refuses to confront the drug cartels.

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

Kswood, do your own research.

I'm not going to try and educate you on Obama's role in this.

In your case, Google is your friend.

fuzz81 --- 7 years ago -

I'm not going to try and educate you on Obama's role in this.

Because you have nothing.

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

Because you have nothing

Oh yea' of infinite wisdom, enlighten me if you know otherwise ...

As you so often ask, give me a source that refutes this.

If you can't, it's because you have nothing ...

fuzz81 --- 7 years ago -

You made the claim.

Put up or shut up.

DVaz --- 7 years ago -

Please try not to feed the troll bc well, idk....lol!

Just perma-ban her IP. She provides zero substance. It's nothing but hate to stir up arguements.

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

You made the claim.

Put up or shut up.

I'll take that as you got nothing ...

Prolix Raconteur --- 7 years ago -

Seeking asylum isn't breaking a law.

Asylum from what? An abusive husband? The local drug gang?

Genuine asylum requests are limited to politically or religiously disenfranchised groups of people.

The Obama admin bastardized the rules to incorporate pretty much anybody from a third world banana republic who is having a bad day. You know, more democrat voters to put on the plantation and all that.

jackass --- 7 years ago -

Somehow I don?t think the nobel committee is going to overlook this when making a decision.

Exactly!

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

Considering the topic of the thread;

Does this mean that those criminals (i.e.legal US citizens) who broke the law and were sent to prison, should not be separated from their children, too?

Crossing the border illegally is, well, illegal and a crime.

Why should the justice system view illegal immigrants differently than those who are legal citizens and incarcerated for their crimes.

Aren't those people being separated from their children and families, too?

SoupIsGoodFood --- 7 years ago -

LOL.......... now you've backed them into a corner, Saturn.

jackass --- 7 years ago -

Way to lock step...lol

A democrat talking about morals, LMFAO!

fuzz81 --- 7 years ago -

Why should the justice system view illegal immigrants differently than those who are legal citizens and incarcerated for their crimes.

The US constitution applies to all people, as decided by the Supreme Court. There is a right to due process, and domestic criminals don?t have their children detained.

Myra801 --- 7 years ago -

I don't think most Democrat politicians give a hoot about Mexicans; they know that if they don't appeal to minorities that they will lose elections over and over.

But what they might want to consider for the future is that Blacks and more and more Hispanic Americans are getting pretty tired of the porous border that illustrates the benefits of being American are not reserved for Americans but for anyone who wants to force themselves on us.

When I see young DACA recipients hold signs that say, " We're here to stay!" they are exhibiting the very arrogance and entitlement that indicates to me we have been too lenient and so, so stupid in our immigration policy.

America is for Americans; black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Chinese Americans, German Americans...well you get it...we need to concentrate on uniting our peoples not Mexico's peoples.

And yes, separate them from their kids; no extra monies for other facilities spent on them. We already spend too much on dealing with them every time they want to come over. It isn't fair. They increase our costs anytime they want to come over. We have to "host" them as if we invited them and we didn't.

just saying....

fuzz81 --- 7 years ago -

What porous border? Provide some credible statistics on it. It sounds like you?ve been suckered into the trump hyperbole and fear mongering.

In fact people trying to enter the US are at record lows.

Myra801 --- 7 years ago -

Because they have a HOME here. We don't have to make arrangements for them other than don't go grab them, too...smh...

Myra801 --- 7 years ago -

Oh... record lows?! oh, that's way better...problem solved...what was I thinking...who are all those people at the border complaining about how they are treated? ghosts of the past?!?

fuzz81 --- 7 years ago -

Central American refugees.

fuzz81 --- 7 years ago -

Seeking asylum is perfectly legal.

Myra801 --- 7 years ago -

Central American refugees.

Well let's help them why don't we; lets decide that their situation was dire and they deserve asylum...but wait ALL of these people's situations were dire?!

See how ridiculous it has become?

fuzz81 --- 7 years ago -

Well you sound like a thoughtful well rounded person. Keep throwing a yelling tantrum on KU. Eye roll.

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

The Constitution has provisions for "Political Refugees" to seek asylum.

The Constitution does not have provisions for "Economic Refugees" to seek asylum.

Myra801 --- 7 years ago -

Well you sound like a thoughtful well rounded person. Keep throwing a yelling tantrum on KU. Eye roll.?

Ummm....I'm not yelling. I'm very calm, actually. Oh, I have that statistic you wanted. It's about 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States. But you don't have to take my word for it. Just Google any source you want to use.

fuzz81 --- 7 years ago -

I asked for statistics that the border is porous. Surely you know most overstay visas and come by plane. Would a non-porous border restrict all entry? What?s your grand plan?

Myra801 --- 7 years ago -

The phrase a "porous border" is not limited to only those that cross on foot or by land. You do know that if someone comes by plane and they do not legally belong here-- or with no large extension of logic--stay when they should go... they have illegally crossed our borders or are here illegally. If the borders did not extend into airspace then no nation could be sovereign within its own territory.

Now another dimension...well that might be up for grabs.

Seal the border...yes, if you need someone to specify that that includes airspace so be it but it needs to be done.

Send back all those who are here illegally and clean the mess up and never, never get this lax again because all it does is cause problems.

My grand plan is not grand at all. Increase funding for patrols and drones, get stricter about fining companies that hire illegals to recoup some of the cost and stop giving them access to scholarships, school meal programs, WIC, Head Start, and emergency Medicaid.

Those programs are not for them; they are for Americans.

Myra801 --- 7 years ago -

And before you say it can't be done because we share a land border you need to read up on how other countries have done a much better job that we have.

Don't expect me to do all your work in learning where things stand or why.

Many Americans don't want them here; it can't be stated any simpler than that. And because we are Americans not Mexicans or El Salvadorans we can vote to try to get them out. Which is exactly what we have done.

Trump wasn't elected just because of his golden locks you know ;)

jackass --- 7 years ago -

A democrat talking about morals, LMFAO!

A Republican talking about...well, anything, LMFAO!!

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

JA and fuzz ...

Rather than your quirky little one liners, can't you come up with something original / substantial to respond to Myra's posts?

She makes a lot of sense, but you two are looking foolish ...
